We have a large (16'x32') salt water pool which (after having another pool company open it up for the season) had A LOT of leaves, debris and dirt in the bottom of it -- too much to clean the traditional way because we would have had to empty the basket a hundred times and would have had to clean the filter cartridge a couple times as well .  Terry came out only a day or two after I called, assessed the problem and came back just a couple days later to do the job.  He and Carol set up a portable vacuum that removed the leaves, debris and dirt over our back hillside instead of through our filter.  He also removed our filter cartridge and thoroughly cleaned it, tested the pool water's pH and alkalinity and adjusted it as needed.  I do recall him saying that he fixed another small problem, but it wasn't even on our invoice. <br /> Not only did Terry and Carol do a great job, but we weren't even home so he just mailed us an invoice two days later.  There aren't many companies that would trust someone they don't even know to do that. <br /> Because of the job they did, we will be calling Terry to open and close our pool in the future, instead of using our usual pool company. <br />

It was a very smooth operation! When he said he would be here he was here. The crew worked very hard and were very detail oriented. <br />

They come out in April or May to open the pool and come back in August or September to close the pool. I love those guys, they are so sweet.

They were awesome. I was very late in the year closing my pool. They came in and cleaned the leaves out of my pool. Treated the pool with chemicals and winterized it. They were very good about explaining everything and making suggestions for opening the pool in the spring. As a new pool owner, they were super about explaining everything. They were very patient , kind, and professional. I highly recommend them. <br />

I cannot speak highly enough of the outstanding service we received from Terry & his crew! Terry & his wife performed an inspection of the pool and equipment prior to us purchasing the home. Terry is very knowledgeable and experienced and we were grateful for his thoroughness. After we closed on the house, Terry's crew returned to perform some recommended maintenance on the pool for the winter so that when we open it up in the Spring, we wouldn't have added costs. HIGHLY recommend Terry's Pool & Deck!

He called and confirmed our appointment, and arrived on time for the initial consultation as well as the day that the work took place. James and Craig worked from the moment they arrived and resolved all of our pool issues to our satisfaction. I had a pretty good experience with Terry's Pool & Deck. He did a good job, seemed to be very knowledgeable and I’m pretty happy with the service.

Several weeks ago, due to repeated severe storms, dirt had slid down the side yard and into the pool & spa.  Despite all our best efforts of bumping and backwashing, the dirt clogged the lines and the filter wasn't working.  Since we weren't fully instructed on the care for the pool (we just bought the house a year ago), we were unaware of some basic maintenance that should have been done on a regular basis.  I called Terry's Pool & Deck and left a message.  Terry got back to me quickly and after explaining the situation shared how they usually do my area on Wednesdays, but that he should be able to get someone out here by Monday. (It was Friday morning).  I told him that was fine (since it'd had been this way for weeks - a couple more days wasn't the end of the world and the weather was a bit too cool to swim).  A few hours after we hung up, Terry called back and told me that one of his guys was just finishing up nearby and could stop out as a courtesy call within the hour.  James came within that hour and two hours later the pool was sparkling clean and so was the "flex tube nest" which had been so filthy (it hadn't been cleaned in almost two years!) it had caked mud when he started!  James explained step by step what we need to do to keep that cleaned and even marked the valves for us - because we keep forgetting which valve goes to which drain!  Since this review is so new, we have not received the bill yet and do not know what the cost for the service is.  I will do an update when we get the bill. <br />

We had installed a new pump for my pool and had wired the pump improperly but couldn't figure out what the problem was.  I called Terry's because they had an A rating on Angie's List and I have had some negative experiences with some other local pool service companies.  At first Terry told me they were booked for the next two weeks.  I described my problem with the pump to Terry and told him that the pump had already not been operating for a week.  Terry told me he would try to fit in my service call in the next several days since I lived so close to his business.  I was surprised when the service technician showed up several hours after my phone call and fixed the problem. I really appreciated the prompt service since I was a first time Terry's customer.  I will definitely use Terry's in the future. <br /> <br /> <br />

They were excellent. They are prompt and they came out on scheduled time exactly here and they discussed everything they were going to do with me. They were just very helpful, they had suggestions on what I could do to help maintain the pool easier on my own. They answered all my questions and were very professional.

I go with the deluxe closing, which means they pump anti-freeze through the plumbing and remove leaves. When I first moved here, 30 years ago, I called the nearest pool company, where Terry just happened to be employed. Terry happened to be the one that came out that first time and now he has his own business. I have used Terry ever since.
