In 2013 we hired this company to repair our foundation. They installed 32 piers around the entire exterior of the house, for a total cost of around $5,300. The work was supposed to come with a lifetime transferrable warranty. Fast-forward to 2019 and I tried calling because we were having some movement and needed some adjustment. Turns out the place is out of business and the owner nowhere to be found. It appears they may be trying to set up shop in the Austin, Texas area. Buyer beware! Don't trust these fly-by-night guys!

To be able to fix my patio level, they had to ditch 2 big holes about 3 feet deep and 3 feet a part each other. Then they put each pier in each whole and jack it up. Good work!
I called for three weeks and couldn't get them to call me back. It was so frustrating -- I guess because they knew they weren't going to make any money. I had my ex-boyfriend call them, and the owner finally ended up calling me back. They said that they'd come by that night to check it out, around 8 or 9 pm. The owner did come by and I was happy at that point. He said he'd send some workers out to re-adjust the piers. He wanted to see the map and the contract, as well as the warranty. He was so nice. He said that they'll put another pier on the front of the house without charging me & said he'd come back in 5 days. That made up for not answering the phone, which I think was the office staff. The owner left, and never came. It took 2 months to get them to come out! The owner then began flirting with me, starting with the first visit, trying to be personal with me -- asking if I was married, etc. He started talking to me about his personal problems, and problems with his girlfriend. I feel like he was putting me off, not picking up his personal number, etc. I would've been okay if he'd have given me an honest answer. But it was like pulling teeth trying to get him back out. When he finished the job, he flirted with me again. They readjusted the piers but they did it messily and I had to buy a lot of new plants. They did the job, and it looks like it's done correctly, but the whole thing was such a hassle.

Team was prompt and hit the effort hard with plenty of crew to tackle the job. There was a great deal of effort expended to do the job correctly to the pleasure of this client. The company owner was on location and actively guiding the efforts of the team. If for any reason he was absent, there was someone left on site for required questions and status. Adjustments made throughout the day to ensure good long-term results. Very pleased with outcome! The interesting fact is that I danced all around this company name to contact those well known and commercially visible competitors. Texans was the fastest to respond and to come on site for a visual inspection.
I originally posted a bad review, and Jimmy came to my house to find out what was wrong. To be fair, I figured there was no point in calling them since the pipe issue happened two months after the leveling. Jimmy was very concerned about my satisfaction and is offering to fix the current broken pipe issue under warranty.
I still stand by my advice to only buy a house built with pier and beam construction rather than on a slab. Though much less expensive as a construction method, it compromised the ability to perform repairs on plumbing since plumbing commodities are buried and tunnels have to be dug to access them. Additionally, floor leveling requires only adjustment of the support piers, which requires no digging.

i will keep you posted on the progress of the results.-My original post was removed per the owners request, but has not stood by keeping his word, so I am now posting the status. 7/10/14 Almost 4 months have now passed, and more money than expected has been spent I would not recommend this company to anyone! As stated from the sales person, the owner, and other means a plumbing test was supposed to have performed before and after completion of work. Needless to say, it was never performed and I was promised that two weeks after the work, the owner would've been out to perform the test. Weeks went by, and no word and never heard from him after many attempts of communicating. Couple months went by the slab was still not level and discovered that I had plumbing issues. Had the proper testing been completed, we would have known about the issue before hand if it was there or the crew would have discovered it during the digging process. But since nothing was said, and that big of a plumbing issue you would've noticed the water, this issue was a result of after the work was performed. With that being said, had the testing been completed AFTER the leveling, they wouldve detected the issues and could have been fixed then and not almost 4 months later and complications because of it. All I have wanted was what I paid for.

They arrived on time and completed the work in one day instead of the two they had estimated. They cleaned up afterwards and put most everything back where it belonged. I had to have interior pilings and they simply placed the carpet back without stretching it properly. I contacted Texans and they paid to have the carpet stretched and put back as it was before they arrived. So though there was a problem, they corrected it.
The initial sales visit and estimate were timely, and the work was scheduled within a couple weeks. However, the foreman did not show up on the scheduled date, so the workers began the work in the wrong place. Once that was corrected and the foreman showed up, the work went very fast and they had 14 piers completed in 1 day. Perhaps this should have been a red flag, as we've continued to have problems with additional shifting, new cracks, and substantial separation of floors from baseboards. We called Texans to voice our concerns and did have someone return with a 4-foot level to tell me everything looked fine. However it was quite clear from our observations that it was not. We hired a structural engineer to provide a professional assessment in August 2013, and he found major deficiencies in the level of our house- nearly a 4" difference in level between the highest and lowest points (and our house is not large). I called Texans again to inform them that we had hired a structural engineer and would like to review the report with them and decide on a plan to address the problems. They agreed to meet, but over a 3 week period could never make and keep an appointment. Since that time (9 months) I've made at least 10 phone calls to Texans trying to have Jimmy or anyone else call me back and discuss my home. I always get same warning that they're very busy, it may be a week or two before they can schedule any work, but I never receive a return call. It's quite clear that they're avoiding me, the warranty work, and even the 2 unfinished piers that I have written on my contract. On my last call, I made it clear that it would be my last attempt before filing a complaint- still nothing.
So, yes, their cost is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Beware. Low quality installation and no warranty to back it up. In the last year, their BBB rating has fallen to an F, mostly due to warranty claim issues, so I'm not the only one with a similar story.
UPDATE - Texans Foundation Repair finally sent a crew on 5/6/2014 to check my piers, 11 weeks after I first communicated my warranty issue, and only after I sent them a certified letter threatening legal action. The crew worked for about 3 hours and re-leveled the problem areas. For now, everything seems to be OK, but the long term quality of the work and warranty service still remains to be seen. There's no change to my grade of "F". It's completely unsatisfactory that the owner did not respond to my calls for 2 1/2 months, and put me through all this hassle. There?s no excuse for the way this company treats its customers.

*****************************************************************************************

For background, the foundation work at my house involved installing 15 piers around the front of my house. The cost was $2500, which I paid when all the work was completed. And, I was given a lifetime warranty for this work.

The crew arrived on 8/27/2013 to do the work. All of the piers were installed on that day, and all cracks were closed (outside and inside the house). However, when the work was completed, I expressed my concern to the owner that I had been at home the entire time, and it was my observation that 1) the workers had been unsupervised for most of the day, and 2) it did not appear to me that the piers had been installed at the required depth.

The company?s advertisement brochure specifies that the piers are to be installed at 15 feet. However, while walking around my house that day, I noticed that none of the holes had been dug deeper than 4 ? 5 feet. And, I saw that only a few piles had been placed in each hole. I asked the supervisor how far down will the piers go. He then asked one of the workers (in Spanish), and he responded to me .. ?14 feet?. At that point, I just assumed that they would be doing more digging to get the piers down to 14 feet. I walked around my house several more times that afternoon and saw no evidence that the holes had been dug deeper. I admit that I don?t completely understand the installation process, but I?m still left wondering how deep the piers were installed. Since the supervisor was away most of the day, and with all the holes filled in, there was no way to verify whether or not the piers had been installed correctly. So, in my mind, the long term quality of this job is questionable.

There was also an issue with some damage done to my patio pavement. And, I finally reached a satisfactory agreement with the owner to replace that section of pavement, but not until after weeks of missed appointments, broken promises, inconvenience, and many follow-up calls and emails from me.

Now, 6 months later, I?m trying to get a warranty issue resolved, and I?m having to deal with the same hassle. On 2/10/2014, I communicated to the owner that I had noticed some new cracks in the bricks near the front corner of my house, and I emailed him some photos. On 2/24/2014, he came to look at the problem. He then called his office to arrange for a crew to come the next day to check the piers. He also wanted to check for a plumbing leak, which was OK with me, but in my opinion is not the cause of the problem since the sewer pipe does not extend under that wall. After he left, I remembered that I would not be at home the next day, so I called his office and rescheduled the appointment for a day later. On that day, I waited at home all day, but no one showed-up or called.

The new cracks between the bricks look bad and are visible from the street, so I need to get this problem fixed ASAP. To me, it appears that there is some uneven tension at that corner, probably because the piers in that area are not level with the rest of the wall. I did not see these cracks until we had a few days of freezing weather in early February. So, I?m thinking that the cold weather caused the bricks to contract and pull away due to the uneven tension at that corner. The piers in that area need to be leveled to close the new cracks, and in a manner that does not cause any other cracks (inside or outside the house). I am also concerned that I?ve recently repainted the interior of my house, and I can?t afford to have that work undone by more foundation issues.

At least once a week, I have called / or sent emails to nicely request that they send a crew to fix this problem. However, not once did the owner or his office respond to schedule the needed work.

They brought a large crew, dug holes around the house, jack-hammered the driveway where necessary and were done in about a half a day. They had to rush to beat a cold front and rain. They cleaned up well and did an overall good job.

After determining my foundation was only slightly uneven, they provided plenty of practical information about how to take care of this on my own. No leveling service was required and there was no charge for the evaluation.

Put in 22 piers and then set an additional appointment to re do the pipes under the house for an additional cost that was very reasonable. They were not good at returning phone calls or emails. The crew that came to the house was very efficient and wonderful to work with. The difference between good and great for this company is organization and communication.

First, they promised to do a plumbing check before and after foundation work, they did not. Second they assured me they only needed to do outside piers where I got half and half quotes that stated I might would need some inside piers too. Third they failed to get the property ready for digging and hit a gas line. On top of that no communication from Texas Foundation that there was a problem, I had to hear from a neighbor that the gas company had to stop a leak. To say the less, the whole weekend we had no gas on our property and no call from the company of our next steps. In addition, after they finish the work a couple days later we still had foundation cracks on both side of our house. Our house still appeared as though the house had not yet came together from their work. After speaking to them about the cracks the workers put on my house a different color clarkin then what my house had original. We are disappointed because neither the cracks nor the garage leveling were taken care of with their foundation repair. Also the workers packed up some piers when they left, so we are not sure if we got all of what we paid for in the ground. With that being said, the company did start first thing in the morning and worked all day.
I was very pleased that Texans Foundation fixed the slab for my sun room. Mr. Garcia, you are great and you kept the promise to send your team over to fix the slab for me! They came early and got to work right away! They knew where the slab problem and started to dig out the dirt and hard soil to put in each pier and level the slab. When they finished the job, they had shown me the crack on the wall that now it was disappeared.
First the estimate from Mike then the negotiating of price went well, the workers showed up as promised two days and they were finished. I will be calling to see if they were supposed to re-calk expansion joints and add more dirt to a few sinking pier holes. I was on sight the complete job an appreciated the Supv showing me the working how things progressed we had five doors out of order all came back in place including expansion joints, sheet rock etc.. Overall I am very pleased at this time with the work and have already given recommendation to some of the neighbors.
