Great experience working with Texas Outdoor Escapes. Tony, the owner, did a great job communicating across all phases of the job. He helped take our ideas from a rough vision to a design to a reality with ease. Loved the drone photos/videos before and after! Very professional crew onsite and delivered what was committed on-time. I'll definitely hire Texas Outdoor Escapes in the future if I have additional outdoor deck/patio needs.

Our first fire in the outdoor fireplace that was built by Texas outdoor Escapes (#tonygodsey) caught fire and required the fire department to put the structure out. When we contacted Texas Outdoor Escapes / Tony Godsey he claimed all warranty was void due to lack of final payment. This was not a warranty issue, it is a insurance liability issue. They have yet to provide that certificate for coverage. The gross negligence around building the fireplace structure could have resulted in serious injury or death. The fire bricks were not stacked properly, there were gaps in the interior roof of the fireplace, and the fireplace was not made with fire mortar as necessary and required. Additionally during the course of the project Tony Godsey was unresponsive, negligent in his building practices, argumentative when discussing issues, and unprofessional. When researching a contractor prior to hiring Texas Outdoor escapes there was 1 bad review on line which Tony Godsey talked his way around. I implore you to research further before doing any business with this man or business. He claims to be a master carpenter, he is not. He gladly took our initial deposit in Dec 2017 which was months prior to his access to our project (due to pool excavation and decking). He ADMITTED to misappropriation of these funds (which is a felony), ran out of our project money and was unable to complete major milestones (i.e. roof, counter tops, railing for stairs, etc). We were willing to work with him and directly purchase items and deduct balance from final invoicing. That didn't even work, he failed to show up to the job site timely which ended in us parting ways. This business should not continue and Tony Godsey should go into a different line of work.

I needed a 20x14 gable cover for an existing patio slab. Texas Outdoor Escapes delivered a high quality product that exceeded my expectations, delivered on time and completed for the quoted price. It doesn't get much better. Tony and his crew exemplify excellent craftsmanship. They are professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, creative, efficient, flexible, respectful and considerate. The back yard worksite was never trashed like most construction zones and was clean and safe at the end of every day. They incorporated the patio cover into my home in a way that makes it look like it was always there. It's an addition that is visually stunning, one that adds value to my home, and doesn't look like it was added on. I would recommend Texas Outdoor Escapes to any homeowner looking for an experienced and conscientious contractor.

Tony and his team were very professional from day one to completion of the project. He got the job done in a very timely manner . He was very respectful, informative, and did excellent work rebuilding my beautiful cedar deck.I would recommend his business and i will rehire for future jobs.

Tony, his sons, employees, and subcontractors were all very professional! They were all hard working, kept a clean worksite, provided all their own equipment, and they all had excellent skills and craftsmanship! Tony used very reliable subcontractors for concrete pour, stamping and stain. His electrician, masonry, and granite contractors were top notch! Tony and his sons installed our pergola and it's impressive! I had told him in the beginning I was working on a time limit and needed the project completed well before a set date and he made sure it happened! I gave him my concept drawing and he made it reality! He kept me informed all along the way of what was happening and if there were delays or issues (weather was the biggest problem). He was very honest and flexible. His contractors came out started and completed the jobs given in a timely and professional manner. Wow, they even stayed until late at night to complete a job because they knew the weather would delay the project going forward. Although we had a wet summer and he had to dodge the rain, my beautiful and well-constructed patio is the envy of the neighborhood! The best part of the experience was the way he made us feel as customers. He cared about our wishes and desire to be wow’d and he responded quickly to our questions and concerns; we felt valued as a customer! In the end he took the time to create a drone aerial photo of our new patio; it was brought into perspective the awesome work and a dream come true. I can't say enough, I'm so proud to show off my new patio escape! I’m very particular and I want to say thank you Tony for putting up with my many changes!!!! Your work is A+++

Thank you Tony & team for your excellent work! Your quality of work is the best we have ever seen. Once the project started you had guys working on it 6 days a week through to completion. Along the way you came up with solutions for any obstacles you came across. We would most definitely use you again, thank you!

First the Design Phase. Tony Godsey, the owner of Texas Outdoor Escapes did a wonderful job of helping us finalize the design of a large backyard project that included the following: extensive concrete work in a backyard that was far from flat with some complex slopes; the design of a composite elevated deck with stairs; and the design of a covered patio with a custom fireplace. Tony has great people skills and will work with any customer to ensure complete satisfaction of the design before construction is started. He is open to make reasonable changes to the design during construction as some changes on a large project are almost inevitable as a design on paper is just that, and must be experienced first hand in three dimensions to see if everything has just the right perspective in dimensions/ size, etc. Next the Construction Phase. The concrete work was done first. We were impressed with the amount of rebar and steel used as part of the concrete work which included a foundation for a swim spa that when filled with water weighed over eight tons and had to be very level and the foundation for the fireplace under the covered patio weighing at least six tons. The decorative stamped concrete was expertly accomplished and the resulting work looks terrific. Tony and his crew also constructed the following: an elevated composite deck (fully skirted) using hidden fasteners on the deck surface; a 100 percent stained cedar pergola over the deck, and a stained cedar covered patio and custom fireplace. All his work was of superior quality. I would highly recommend that Texas Outdoor Escapes be consulted for a very reasonable bid before starting any outdoor project. I believe that Tony will provide you with a "best value" bid for your project. Texas Outdoor escapes with provide great work using quality materials.

Great Company! The complex project went perfect. Tony followed progress very closely and made sure everything was done according to plan and made several requested changes to improve the work at no extra cost. Something other contractors would try to get extra money out of you for the changes. Tony is honest almost to a fault. He keeps his word and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Tx Outdoor Escapes if you want a professional job done at a reasonable price, completed in a timely manner.

Tony was very knowledgeable and helped us design out outdoor kitchen. The work was done on time and on budget. We definitely recommend using Texas Outdoor Escapes if you are considering adding or improving your outdoor kitchen.

Texas Outdoor Escapes are Good! Spoke with Tony and shared our idea about building a backyard pavilion. Tony came to our home and explained in detail what his strategy would be to complete. I really liked that when we had questions about different wood, builds, plans, Tony had a picture available on his phone to show and also gave a detailed description of how everything would look. Texas Outdoor Escapes started work on Wednesday and Pavilion was completed in 4 days on Saturday. HOA approval also handled by Tony professionally and in quick time. TX Outdoor Escapes was recommended to us by a neighbor after we saw the beautiful work in their backyard. We are happy we asked for the referral!

Tony and his team did an outstanding job on our outdoor kitchen...we are very pleased! We shared with Tony how we envisioned the layout. He provided a few invaluable suggestions to help increase countertop surface space and overall appeal. The extra countertop space has already proven to be a great idea! Our kitchen has granite countertops, granite wrapped backsplash, 4-in nicotine stone accented with bricks to match our home, and granite wrapped appliance spaces for a ceramic grill, 4-burner gas grill, power burner, and a drop-in icebox that doubles as a sink. We received quotes from several contractors, all of which used cinder block to build their kitchens. Tony uses steel framing for his kitchens which allow for maximum storage space beneath the kitchen. Everyday we look out at our patio and we can't believe that beautiful kitchen out there is ours!!! We had three different vendors give us quotes for extending our 10'x20' porch slab to 12'x21' and adding a covered porch. Tony's price was in the middle, but the quality of the materials that he proposed was superior to the other estimates. The crews that worked on the stamped concrete, patio cover, and electrical were very professional and polite. There were the usual unforeseen difficulties for projects like this (scheduling, weather, materials, etc.), but Tony communicated well and solved everything satisfactorily. We are very happy with the result. It was wonderful to host 19 folks at Thanksgiving and eat dinner outside.

Great patio! Tony and the crew did excellent work. I trust this guy far more than any of the other people we had bids from. Honest hardworking business without any pushy sales reps.

First I will say that I am very particular and did my research before choosing Texas Outdoor Escapes. There were a few other contractors who never came back after the first meeting and one that I almost hired, but became unresponsive when it was time to get started. However, my experience with the owner, Tony Godsey, was very different. He took our project very seriously and understood that it required good communication with pool contractors. He even showed up for a two hour pool layout to ensure that he was on the same page for his part of the project. My husband and I were always able to reach Tony and he was prompt in reply as well as frequently on site. He even did much of the work himself even if it kept him here late. Tony and his crew were very courteous and professional. There was one sub contractor that became unreliable, but Tony took care of it and replaced him to get the job done on time. Pricing was reasonable and never changed from original estimate unless we added additional work. All materials were in great condition and exactly what we agreed on per contract. Tony and his crew did such a great job and the cabana/pavillion is beautiful! It’s evident in Tony’s work ethic that he takes a lot of pride in completing his projects. Our pool company has even referred some of their other clients with similar projects to Tony based on our experience. We are happy to have found Texas Outdoor Escapes and will definitely hire again if needed in the future!

We are very happy with the work performed and the value we received and would highly recommend Tony and his team. From quotation to final completion, Tony was in constant contact and did an excellent job explaining what was going to happen in each step of the process. He as usually there to make sure his team was carrying out good work. He was quick to remedy any issues or concerns and offered advice on everything from appliance brands to select to complexity of the stamped concrete installed.

Now that I have this wonderful and beautiful arbor set up, the kitchen as well the other rooms has shown lower temperature. Tony and his family crew was most considerate and helpful as well accommodating. I am most pleased with my decision to have hired them. They know quality and showed vast of experience. I highly recommend them.

It went very well. Tony was easy to work with and delivered exactly what I asked for. My only complaint is some of the workmanship details. Significant over cuts on the notches and some screws sticking through the ceiling.

The company did a great job. The owner suggested adding a curb, since one side was about three feet off the ground, which was a great suggestion. He was very responsive, punctual and professional. I would definitely recommend this company.

Tony was professional, courteous, and listened carefully to our preferences to make our new outdoor patio and all it's extras just like we wanted them. He made it a point to be there everyday to inspect the work done by his crew, made a few minor issues right for no charge, and there were no hidden fees or pressure to go over the budget we agreed to. Great attention to detail and took pride in the quality of his workmanship. Would definitely use Tony again.

Tony and his team did an incredible job. He showed up right on time to provide a quote and outline what services he could provide. Once we agreed, he was on the site and working the very next day. He finished the project well within the timeline that he had offered. Tony was always available via text message or phone call for any questions along the way. He has a passion for his work and it definitely shows based on the finished product. He did several small things that weren't necessarily included in the scope of work just to make sure the overall project turned out perfect. Overall this project went well and we are very satisfied with the outcome. Our screen porch project concept had some design challenges. Tony had excellent suggestions on the best way to tie the porch structure in to the house and to the existing flagstone floor. TOE used high quality lumber and materials. All lumber was prestained before cutting. Color matches were good. Screen panels were well fitted and high quality. Project change order was reasonably priced. Like all contractors, TOE had a few scheduling conflicts with other jobs, however these were communicated. Tony and his team are skilled, friendly, professional, and easy to work with. There was thorough job site cleanup. Most importantly, TOE had genuine concern for customer satisfaction and followed through all concerns we brought up and on the punch list and job closeout. This is a good contractor and we recommend them.
