I made a mistake and called this company by mistake, and this was the best mistake I could have made. The young man named Jermaine came out expected and explained everything to us. We ended up with purchasing a completely new air conditioner and ducts. Our prior unit was 22 years old so, we definitely needed a new unit. The old one kept stopping and starting back up. The workers came out on time and worked over 12 hours prior to completing the job and complete clean up afterwards. The owner Jon was always calling and checking up on us and came out once the job was complete and took pictures and confirmed that the job was done to their and our satisfaction.

The compressor on my 410A (old refrigerant) system was degraded and the system was slowly failing. I contacted several ac contractors who came and gave me estimates, mostly to replace the whole system (due to nationally mandated changeover to the new refrigerant, 449B, such that there was a shortage of parts that worked with the old refrigerant). Those whole system estimates were astronomical. Finally I stumbled across Texas Same-Day air conditioning, heating and plumbing. I asked to speak to someone about the technical details regarding my system and the best way to fix it. I wanted to find out what the best solution was, if it was possible to replace the parts only and what was causing the faulty readings on my system. I was transferred to Jon. He seems to be a higher-up in that company. Jon possessed detailed technical knowledge about all aspects of ac and he graciously answered all my questions. Our initial conversation lasted 30 minutes and I never felt rushed. He sent a technician to look at my system and evaluate the solution. The tech arrived right on time, as promised. Then Jon offered me a whole-system solution (due to a lack of 410A compatible parts) for a price that was substantially lower, it was a fraction of that offered by the contractors I had contacted previously. We talked on a couple more occasions while I was making up my mind (my ac was still working adequately, but it was limping). He was always willing to spend whatever time it took to talk. I had almost decided to go ahead with his solution, but then, finally, he informed me that he had located a 410A condenser. So, he never stopped caring and wanting to find the right match for his customers that would be most cost-effective for them. That would be a less expensive way to fix my problem than the whole-system changeout, though Jon cautioned me that if anything else failed I would be stuck with purchasing a whole system anyway, due to scarcity of 410A parts. I decided to go that route (just replacing the condenser) and again his technician showed up right on time. The tech disconnected the old condenser as another tech showed up with the new one. They installed the new condenser right out of the box. It was only then that I realized that the new condenser was not appropriate for my needs, due to some stickers on it. It would have worked, but I wouldn't have been happy with it, due to its high energy usage. The company had no way of knowing this detail as they got it in the box from a supplier. And it was the only unit they could get their hands on in a long time, that worked with 410A refrigerant, due to general scarcity of 410A components in Houston. As soon as I realized this, I called up Jon who immediately offered to uninstall the new condenser and re-install the old one, that way I would at least have ac in the interim. And I would owe nothing. This is really a mark of an honest person who can be depended on and whose word means something. I took him up on the offer and that's what they did. I just want to let the reader know that they have a trustworthy, dependable company here, that can be banked on to do the right thing, even when it's painful for them, as it was in this case, as they ate the cost of this. Five stars well deserved!
