Initial contact and entire design process went well. John was very professional and accomodating to our requests, and gave us a good feeling when we decided to sign the contract to build a pool with him. He outlined all costs and payment breakdowns as the stages of work got completed.

Mar 2nd 2015, excavation begins and our expected completion date was May 1st 2015 or sooner, depending on weather delays.

Everything was going as planned hole was dug, but because of a lot of rain made the yard soft they could not get all of the dirt and rocks out of our yard for a couple weeks afterwards. During this time they were still able to work on rebar, plumbing, gunite poured, tile and pool coping (stone border around pool) installed to stay on schedule.

Mar 26, 2015 - Our first concern of the project arose when we looked at the coping after being installed. We found a lot of nicks, lines, and other marking that we occurring in the around half of the stones. We expressed our concerns to John, he mentioned these were all part of the natural stones appearance and he mentioned a few could be replaced, but to hold off until the waterfall was completed to get a better idea of how things would look.

Apr 6, 2015 - So we did, and after the waterfall was complete, we still were not a fan of the markings on the coping. So we once again bought up the issue we had with stones, and this time asked for around half of them to be replaced. John thought this was totally unreasonable, and insisted that only a few should be done.

Apr 7, 2015 - After some debut John said he would replace the entire coping, but we had to pick out another stone.

Apr 13, 2015 - After a week of looking at different stones (and of course nothing getting done on the pool) we decided to ask John about another option. Leave the coping as is, but compensate us for the "ugly stones" that were installed.

Apr 14, 2015 - Called/texted to follow up on our suggestion to compensate us for coping and keep moving forward but no responses to either. At this point, I'm not sure if he's too busy to reply or..... So we are eagerly awaiting a reply to try and get construction back underway.

Apr 15, 2015 - John had replied to our texts later that day, and he actually came over to our house tonight to go over the coping and the entire project as a whole. I'm happy to say that he has assured us that his number one priority is to make us happy with what we get. He suggested that we try some further sanding and possibly a sealer for the coping to see how it looks on a sample piece and go from there. He address all our other questions regarding when things are getting scheduled and I'm happy to say we are moving forward.
