I was looking for somebody who is both very knowledgeable in the audio systems and good customer service. Audio Guy team had both. They patiently helped me learn about the various options for the equipment and what all to consider when making a decision on what type of equipment to buy. Their installation process was very professional and friendly staff. They have an excellent studio where you can experience the home theater before you decide on your equipment. Over all they were very patient, very reasonable on their pricing and flexible in working with you. If you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable local team you have found them. <br />

Let me start by saying Clay is true audiophile. He educated me on sound, speakers and brands. He didnt have his studio ready, he patiently took me to his customers, to demo different products. He guided me through the selection process, for picking right speakers, amp and projector. Never rushed me for any decisions. I felt at peace after making the decisions, even though the products I picked are expensive, Clay gave me great discounts, and beat his other competitors by at least 20%. Before I found out about Clay, I have talked to Star Power, Stereo East and other big media outlets, everyone is in a rush to get my money and sell me something I am not convinced for a lot more money. This is my second house, and second media room installation. The first time around I paid a lot of money to Starpower and didn't my money's worth. This time around I wanted to do my research and pick the right equipment and right people to install. I am glad I found him on the internet. <br /> The best part about this company starts after you picked the equipment. Clay kept me updated when my equipment was arriving. Once it got there, the people(that includes Clay) that came to install were amazing. Carlos is the install guru. He is the man. He has great sense of humor. He cares about customer. And his team is equally good. They dont send some kid, to install the nice equipment you buy, they have professionals that have done this for years. They did an amazing job installing everything the way I wanted. They gave wonderful suggestions. They educated me through out the process. Carlos installed my screen, he built frame behind the screen to place led lights, it gave great cool look. It was ll his idea. Control 4 installation was pain free and Sooloos was good as well. They have great customer service. After the install I didnt have to bother them much. One time I had an issue when I changed my router, they responded very quickly took care of the issue. The work done was very clean. They took little longer to install, it takes longer, because, they pay attention to minute details. After all the work they cleanly arranged all my cables. <br /> Clay is an artist, when it comes to sound. He has the gift and the ear for the sound. He calibrated all my media and book shelf speakers for their location where they are placed in the with respect where we sit to the exact inches, and their setup on the amps. He uses some tools as well. I am blown away by the end result. You can buy most expensive equipment in the world but if it not calibrated and fine tuned, you are missing out on the best they could offer. I cant thank Clay enough for that. <br /> I went with Focal Aria speakers, Anthem receiver, Sony projector and stewart screen and focal book shelf speakers for downstairs. Now I have the system almost 10 months. I am ecstatic with the performance of all these products. The same music I used to hear on my old speakers, feels soo much better. I can hear finest of details. The lows and the highs. <br /> We have soo much fun watching movies. It feels like we are in a IMAX. It's a pure joy listening to music these days, All made possible by the Audio guy. <br /> Thank you, Clay, Carlos and the team. <br /> <br /> <br />

Clay and Carlos at the Audio Guy were very helpful. From providing guidance on the package that was appropriate for my needs, to answering all of my questions. Once we landed on the package, we ordered the equipment and they installed within a week. <br /> The level of service made me very comfortable using the company. The installation crew was very professional and left the room very clean. Both Clay and Carlos followed up with me after the install to ensure I was happy with the equipment and the service. The level of service, attention to detail and professionalism were exemplary. The equipment I ordered through The Audio Guy was better priced than I could get at local retail or through the Internet. The great pricing was a very pleasant surprise, I expected to have to pay more through a high quality custom installer like The Audio Guy, but saved over retail on everything. <br /> The screen installation (first project) exceeded my expectations, and the cabinet that Miguel designed looks like a high-end piece of furniture, exquisite quality (and reasonably priced). My next projects were replacement of the video in the room, and Clay's team handled all the equipment and installation, including custom wiring, connections, testing - the whole thing. The quality impressed me to the extent that I did a third upgrade, my music room. So Clay has done three projects for me. He also did a much smaller installation for some friends that moved, which included installation of three flat panel TVs on wall brackets (they even relocated the doorbell that was blocking one of the TV locations). <br /> Clay's team was great, they fully understand both audio and video. There wasn't the pressure or hard sell tactics I've encountered from larger dealers, and Clay has a team of people that are skilled, do things right, and have been with him for a long time. Clay's team takes the time to learn what you want to do, and works to give the outcome you're looking for. Clay and his team truly want to provide an optimum experience for their customers and love audio and video (Clay's passion is music). They can also handle networking, home automation, and surveillance systems (so I probably have some future projects in store). <br /> I very highly recommend The Audio Guy. <br />

Clay and his team did a great job in a very professional installation of a home theater system that included a new Sony projector and Stewart screen. Additional speakers were added and everything integrated with the owner's previously owned equipment. The installation was in a new home in Southlake. Clay and his team were very professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of the job. The job was completed quickly and the final system is superb! Clay and his team had to overcome a few obstacles left by the builder, and they did so in a very professional way. I am very pleased with the job and would highly recommend The Audio Guy! <br />

Our new cabinet and flat screen is amazing and totally updated our house. Our home theater is now working properly, the picture is beautiful and the new remote makes it so easy to use. The prices we got on the equipment were better then we could get at the stores and the quality better. Customer service is amazing. I am a bit slow while learning technology. I have had to contact Clay numerous times. They are responsive, work on my schedule, stay in contact with arrival times and have come out quickly (even on Christmas Eve day) to install a Christmas gift for me. I highly recommend if you are looking for a home theater, equipment, update or design a system for you to give the Audio guy a call. We have been very happy. His entire crew is professional and trusting. <br />

The guys at The Audio Guy did a great job on my media room and the additional work I had requested. Clay's the man when it comes recommending great equipment (with-in my budget) and also in letting me know of some discounts that I could get on speakers. To sum it up they have the better prices than "the big guys", they do a fantastic job at installation and to be able to support a small business is something I love to do. I recommend Clay and his guys and will use them in the future. <br />

Absolute first rate service from start to finish. I had some questions leading into the project, so the owner offered to come out to the house and look things over. Once I finalized everything, they worked with my schedule to set up the install date. The technician arrived on time and did an extremely professional job. By this, I mean he went above and beyond. He didn't just drill holes and pull wires through. Every entry/exit point in the wall was surrounded by a plate to leave a nice clean look...even the holes behind the TV. He ran into some issues with the rear speaker wires that added a couple of hours to the install time, but he worked right through without complaint. After the install, he stayed to calibrate the system and spent about an hour going over the operation of everything with me. The owner followed up a couple of days later to make sure that I was happy with the work. <br /> Excellent workmanship, patience, and customer service. Highly recommended! <br />

I do not often write reviews but my experience compels me to do so in this case. My notes are about what was important to me during this process so please read with that in mind. When I made the decision to invest in a dedicated theater room it was agonizing trying to select a provider who I felt understood my needs and expectations and had the knowledge to make suggestions I did not know about in regards to the design of the room in particular. I contacted several companies, most did not call back or even show up for appointments. That baffles me. Of the 3 that did, Clay with The Audio Guy was the only one I felt comfortable with. The reasons for that were a few. It was very obvious he is passionate about what he does and his love of music made it easy for me to relate with him. He also made suggestions for certain lower priced items even though I was willing to spend more. That made me more comfortable that he was not out to make a quick buck. But believe it or not he was also the only one who kept every appointment and phone call schedule as promised where as the others simply did not call back so I had to chase them down or kept rescheduling appointments. The deal maker though was he approached the room design completely differently that I was thinking. The others made their presentations for the room design based on how I thought it should be set up. Clay suggested something completely different and I had not even considered. Once he explained the details as to why he suggested what he did, he was the guy. Fast forward to day one. He showed up on time with his crew and was mindful of the disruption the work would cause for my wife and took every step he could to minimize the intrusion and mess. The project was completed in a timely manner and very professionally done. He also had other projects going on during the construction of mine but was always informing me of the status for equipment coming in and calling before his arrival for work days. He never made me feel like "he has my money now so he doesn't care so much anymore". It was a custom job that required patience but was completed with great care and attention to detail. If it was not quite right, he would ask if he could stay longer to get it right. How many people want to work more? He made suggestions along the way to improve my Theater experience and provided me the attention I felt I deserved for the money I was spending even with other jobs going on. The final result was a Theater that met all my expectations and then some. Clay is a first class service provider that I personally feel you would not go wrong if you selected his company for your audio video design and installation needs. I grin when I go into the room and I grin when visitors are in awe of the sound reproduction and work he did. It is difficult to trust anyone who provides any type of service these days (my opinion of course) so when you find one, tell everyone and that's what I am doing. Clay continues to stay in touch with me to inform me when updates are available for my equipment or sometimes just to suggest some music I might like, and yes occasionally to see if I might want to update my equipment with the latest. What a concept, a relationship with a service provider! I like it and I think you will as well if you decide to give Clay a call. It is clear to me he knows what he is doing. <br />

At first I was happy with their work, but they were messy, leaving behind a cardboard box, a drop cloth and some other garbage. I had asked them to look through two boxes for our additional audio components and then discovered at the end of the day that they hadn't done that. I also asked for a kitchen television to be mounted on a swing arm; when they left after 1.5days worth of work, they hadn't done that installation. There were also tv's left lying around, cables, remotes, etc. I assumed they were planning on returning to finish the work, but they started asking for payment immediately. I received text messages and phone calls from them looking for a check right away. They had stated that this was a miscommunication between the two employees and their boss who was away but I was disappointed with the way it was handled. They did return to finish the last installation and place a cable cover, and then they forgot the swing arm mount. Luckily there was one on the van, but it bothered me that they didn't remember that I had asked for that as I said it more than once. They also didn't program any of the remotes I had so that I could use the DVD players. Clay did not charge me for labor on the final day of work, but overall I felt that they took too long to complete the job, they were disorganized and overall expensive. We have a media room to put together and I think we will be waiting to do that and make sure that we hire a more professional crew. I would recommend Clay and his team for a smaller job with a well defined set of parameters and a timeline but I think they require more oversight than I have at the moment. <br />

I did try to get the first part of the work done for you quickly as your husband had requested so you would have TV for your children to watch but thought I had mentioned to you that I was trying to squeeze you in (we were booked 3 weeks out at the time) for that reason and that it may take longer than usual for us to get back to you if we couldn't finish in a day. As far as asking for payment, I did send the one text asking if Carlos could pick up a check, misunderstanding that they had completed the job. I apologized profusely for that misunderstanding which is why I didn't charge the 4 hours of labor for the last day. Again, I am sorry for your experience and should you decide to give us an additional chance, I would like to offer you an additional 10% discount and I will make certain that everything runs exactly as you request. Clay was the ultimate professional. He kept in touch by phone or email, helped us choose equipment within our budget, and installed up to code wiring. The three other installers I interviewed were going to run an extension cord through the dry wall. A total fire hazard. Instead Clay installed a power bridge. He looked through the attic and around the house to figure the best install process. He has worked in new construction set ups, so he was very familiar with the structure of homes. <br /> He was able to move the in ceiling set up back behind us instead of having to use speaker boxes attached to the wall which gave us a wonderful clean look. He had to drill through the support beams to move the speakers back. <br /> Clay was ready for any hiccup. His employee was wonderful and very professional and knew all the ins and outs. Clay and his team of guys were fantastic. Beginning with his in home review of my needs and wants and desire to keep a number of older components to keep costs down. He was GREAT at understanding what I wanted and needed, and then followed with a plan/estimate of what he felt were my best options. To my surprise, he was able to get on with the work within days. Professional, knowlegeable, honest, detail oriented, curtious and friendly describes not only Clay, but also the guys he works with! I now have a system beyond my expectations! Must also add that Clay has been great for follow up, for those final 'tweaks' and adjustments, and just recently contacted me to see how the system was doing.
