The Beauty In Concrete

Job was smooth and work was done within a week. Communication with Justin was great. His crew was tidy and respectful. Overall there was a high degree of professionalism. The quoted price and time estimate was maintained. The cost was competitive with other contractors (that weren't capable of installing colored/stamped concrete). They clearly know concrete and the project came out perfect. Price included an inspection and reseal in the spring.

Initially working with Justin was easy. We changed the size and layout of the patio to best suit the backyard, in this regard he was great. However after the patio was installed there were several flaws & concerns. The primary concern was and still is how the patio slopes in the middle allowing rain water to collect in the middle and also around the fire pit. There is also several flaws in the stamping process, parts are raised and rough textured. I could deal with the flaws & rough textures, however the sloping in the middle I cannot deal with. Justin offered to put self leveling concrete over the slope in hopes it would fix it, I declined because the patio was just poured!!! Justin offered to rip out & re-pour the patio at my expense. Justin admitted the patio was graded incorrectly, however he would not step up and correct the problem. I approached Justin about replacing the patio as he did not install it correctly, he accused me of trying to put him out of business, it would collapse his company because he is not a big "high roller" contractor; as he put it. Justin straight up admitted the gentleman who graded the patio was no longer working with them because of this situation; he is older and his vision is not the greatest anymore - Justin's words exact. Justin was supposed to come back to make drainage cuts & refund a part of the patio, as agreed between both of us; he still has never made cuts or refunded anything, I have not been able to get ahold of him... So much for a warranty. I would stay far and clear from this company.
