Don’t walk ..… RUN away from “The Bug Man” for your pest control needs In fact… help “exterminate” The Bug Man’s unscrupulous and fraudulent business practices by not hiring him so future consumers don’t get bilked as well. Real estate agents take note. Read on… only if you want to know more of the details of my bad experience with this company. “The smallest things can cause the biggest problems”….. like a fraudulent termite inspection report… The Facts: • The Better Business Bureau reports, “The Bug Man,LLC” pest control service company was founded in June of 2008 by Mr. Jeff Braley. • Mr. Russel Braley; lic./cert. # 22860; is an inspector for “The Bug Man, LLC”; he is also the son of Mr. Jeff Braley. • Inspector Russel Braley conducted an inspection of a Prairie Village home on 10/9/2018 for an elderly couple (prospective buyers of the home) as part of the inspection process prior to closing on the home. • Mr. Braley’s 10/9/2018 inspection report stated the following: o Visible evidence of live insects; “Live termites in between fireplace and garage also in basement”. o “Mud tube in between fireplace and garage also in basement same place” o The report stated that there was no visible evidence of previous termite treatments within the structure. o The report recommended treatment for the control of the termites. The seller of the home; findings and actions: • Upon receipt of the report and subsequent request to treat for termites the seller of the home examined the areas of the home identified in the report, in an effort to locate the live termites and mud tunnels. None were found. The seller of the home is a qualified construction professional and versed in the basic identification of evidence of wood destroying insects. • The seller of the home requested a meeting with the inspector at the home so that the reported evidence could be pointed out and identified. • Mr. Jeff Braley said he stands by the issued inspection report, even though he never set foot on the property, and stated that another fee of $85 would be charged for him to come out to the home to point out the termites. Refuting reports/Inspections of the home: • The seller of the home caused two reputable pest control inspection companies to conduct extensive inspections of the same home. Neither inspector found ANY evidence of live termites or mud tunnels between the fireplace and garage, nor anywhere in the home. • Both subsequent inspections also pointed out obvious evidence of previous termite treatments within the home and garage. • This information refutes The Bug Man’s inspection report. Conclusions: • There are no live termites, nor evidence of live termites or previous termites, or mud tunnels within the home. • The Bug Man, LLC tried to take advantage of an elderly couple by submitting a false inspection report, with the hopes of selling an unnecessary termite treatment. DO NOT HIRE THE BUG MAN FOR YOUR PEST CONTROL NEEDS…… HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED. DON’T GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. Please contact me if you have ANY questions regarding this review. <p>They sprayed a very potent spray and could not understand that I was pregnant and had dogs so I  did not what that kind of harsh chemical spray sprayed around the house. </p>

Very unprofessional and did a lousy job.

I needed a full termite inspection & treatment. I was selling my home and this was part of the agreement with the buyers. The Bug Man was outstanding!!! He was courteous, prompt & understood I was in a real time crunch. He did a great job & 3would highly recommend him! <br />

Very professional, excellent communication, trustworthy, and did termite inspection the day after my phone call.    Highly recommend Bug Man LLC and I will use their services again in the future. <br />

Helped me kill the nasty nat issue coming from some plants I brought in after summer. I had hundreds of them and the reproduce so fast I couldn't get rid of them myself. I took a week or two but they are gone!

Went great.  I hate Silver Fish and now they are gone. <br />

I am a Realtor and have used Jeff TheBugMan for years to do inspections and treatments on homes that I have sold. He is always very knowledgeable and friendly. His crew is always prompt and efficient. His prices are more than fair. When my Aunt's home needed a treatment to be sold, I knew my only choice was TheBugMan. Myself, along with many other Realtors in the KC Metro area, use Jeff. His company also does extermination for pests. <br />
