"I definitely hate not getting perfect reviews on here and hate knowing someone is not happy with the final results. When we removed the deck we found an original frost protected concrete house wall which is awesome when doing a stoop because it is as solid as you can get so I was very happy about that. After the job was finished some concerns were addressed about grade height and finish of the original foundation wall. I had a crew come back within a day to address those concerns and since I didn't hear back assumed they were addressed and taken care of. I had sent a PayPal invoice for the remainder of balance and 3 PayPal invoices reminders, emails ,and left a voicemail asking about getting paid for the job with no response from the customer. My family emergency is my mom dying and is currently at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg at 69 years of age. She has no money and we needed to come up with money for her funeral expenses which is why I ended up at the front door asking to get paid on a Saturday morning. I will be the first to admit that after two nights of no sleep watching my mom not being able to breathe I was not in a very "professional" mood and didn't act it. Unfortunately I am human and the circumstances of my life had gotten the best of me and for that I do apologize. I am not going to try and defend myself but everything myself and company do we try and do exemplary. What these customers will never know or see is the two to 3 feet of gravel I put under that Concrete because it was so wet and mucky. They were quoted at 12 inches and never were asked for additional money to cover all that gravel. My goal with my business is to give people a top quality job that will last a lifetime even if it means less profit on my end and they definitely received that. Unfortunately it came at a very hard time in my life and unfortunately they were The latest paying customers I have had in the last 8 years which only compounded my frustration when I stopped to get payment. A response to any of my emails or phone call I made about the payment would have been much appreciated on my end instead of silence from them. All this to say I am sincerely sorry for the way everything ended. Matt Wallace"
