The Fence Company

We were originally going to have our backyard fence and gates replaced. Ted was quick to reply and came out to our house to provide an estimate. While I first thought the estimate was high, I later had other bids come in that were comparable or even higher. My wife decided we hadn't budgeted enough for a replacement job, especially considering we still had some remodel projects that needed to be done, so we decided to just do a repair job this year and revisit replacing the fence next year. To repair the fence required replacing 4 posts and then re-attaching the current fence sections to the new posts. Of the companies that bid on the original replacement job, Ted was the only one willing to take on the repair project as the others said it was "too small of a project." Ted's team was able to get out to the house relatively quick given the busy season and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

Ted met with me the next day after my call for an estimate. He even took me down our street to a recent job he had completed. It was a different design of lattice that I hadn't seen before. He emailed me and estimate the next day. I received two other estimates and Ted was $200 less than one and $800 less than the other. I was concerned about damage to our shrubs, flowers, sprinklers, and other landscaping but Ted assured me his people would be extra careful .... they were. A month later our new fence was completed in ONE DAY. Very pleased with the Fence Co.

I called Ted about the project and he came out the same day to give me a bid. I decided to go with his company and he came out the next day to collect half of the cost. Luckily for me, Ted had a cancellation, so the work was able to start the next week. Jerry and Santos arrived on time and after walking the project with me, they got to work. They got everything done in one day. The long length of privacy fence is so beautiful. The colors in the planks varied and Jerry placed them so it looks like a cedar mural. The guys were very easy to work with and very nice. The only negative is that they backed their truck off of my driveway and left two 2' tire tracks in my flowerbed which I didn't notice until after they had gone. It's fixable and a small price to pay for a gorgeous fence.

They removed the fence & posts on the first day and came back the second day and built the new fence.

We called The Fence Company and received a home visit and written bid that same afternoon. We were impressed by Ted Juarez and agreed to have the work done the following month. We established a work date and the two workmen arrived as expected with all the materials on the assigned day. We reviewed the plan with them, then they got right to work. We are very happy with the result. Highly recommend.

Ted was a good representative, and answered questions well. Installers were friendly, punctual, hard & steady workers. I and my neighbors are very pleased.

Fence looks great, crew was very professional.

Ted was great and easy to work with.  We had a portion of fence and a gate that needed to be replaced.  It's all 6' cedar with privacy fencing facing the street and Good Neighbor fencing along the shared line.  Ted came out and gave us a bid for all three sections (the shared line, the portion on just our property, the portion on just our neighbor's property).  We couldn't get in touch with the owner on the other side of the fence in time, and needed our portion done for listing photos of our house.  So Ted revised his bid for just our portion.  Then, a few days later, when the other owner was ready, Ted gave us a revised bid for just the shared portion and returned to do that stretch as well.  He was so flexible and helpful through all of the communication pauses - so helpful when dealing with shared items like a fence. <br /> His workers were efficient, friendly, cleaned up after themselves, and did great work. <br /> It was a great experience overall and I'd hire The Fence Company again for any fencing work. <br />

Jerry & Santos were always on time. They had to carry supplies & water for quite a long distance. They worked very hard & were very nice.

Ted arrived on time to discuss the project. He was easy to work with, explained my options well and generally was great to work with.  In the course of explaining what I wanted, I brought up a couple other fence related things including a post that needed replacing plus another gate that needed work.  He added those to the overall bid. <br /> The price was significantly below other bids and that included the additions which I had not mentioned to the other companies. <br /> After I agreed to have the company do the work, it was scheduled within a reasonable time frame and they were actually able to begin a little earlier than planned due to some weather related scheduling adjustments.   <br /> The team arrived on time and finished the work quickly.  I was surprised at how quickly the posts went in and the fence was completed. I have heard horror stories about fences being installed where the posts are not aligned or other workmanship was lacking.  This fence is dead straight and uses high quality materials (the posts are larger and stronger than the other posts I have around property).  I had considered doing it myself but I am glad I made the decision to have the work done. <br /> Overall, a great experience.  I had no issues at all and am in discussion about having The Fence Company do another project for me. <br /> <br />

It was a pleasure to work with the Fence Company.   Ted Juarez was very helpful in the proposal process providing me several different estimates as I made changes to what I wanted done.   Ted visited the property twice.  He offered ideas and suggestions and designed a special customization to solve a privacy problem.   <br />  The work was scheduled a month out.  They kept to their schedule and their estimate. The two workers who built the fence worked efficiently and smartly.  They previewed everything they were doing.  Everything was cleaned up.  The fence looks great. <br />

I got several bids for the fence and one was $2,000 higher than the others, which were within $300 of each other.  I selected The Fence Company because I felt Ted was the most professional of the estimators, 2 gave estimates over the phone, but did say they'd come out if we took their bid.  <br /> Ted scheduled the job and we put it on the calendar, but Ted was able to move us up by a day in the end. <br />  The workers were prompt, arriving just after 8 am and they had  the old fence and posts removed by 9 am. Wow!  Then they installed the new posts, setting each in concrete, and attached the new rails. All work for the day completed by 2 pm.  Again, Wow! <br /> THese guys had obviously done this before--they were efficient, didn't goof off and got the work done with minimal disruption of surrounding areas (small plants, bushes, trees, etc.)    <br /> The following morning  the one worker arrived about 8:45am and got right to work. He carried in all the fence boards and placed them, then brought his equipment and began fastening the boards, he completed all work for a 135' fence, walked the job with me to assure IO was happy, cleaned up and was gone by 11:30am,   <br /> <br />

Ted, the owner came to our home to discuss our need and cost.  Very nice guy, knowledgeable.  A couple of weeks later his crew showed up on time.  They were very prepared and organized, got right to work and did a great job.  Exceeded expectations.

Outstanding.  I appreciated being consulted during the process on certain design decisions I hadn't thought of.

The service was mediocre. The workers were excellent. The owner/manager of the job was not good. He wanted to cut corners on the work and I did not want to. He did, in fact, cut corners on the work and I had to hire another company for repairs after the work was completed. He was doing less quality work to save money. If it was not for his excellent workers, it would have been a horrible experience.

Workers came in and removed old fence, cleared away debris and replaced new fence over the course of a couple of days.  Since the job was coordinated by me neighbour, I didn't spend anytime talking to the workers. <br /> They were professional and were careful to work around the existing plants and shrubs. <br />

Ted responded quickly and job was done right.  Jerry did a great job.

The fence was done expertly by two men.  It was hard since the ground is very rocky.  They tried to plug equipment into an outside outlet but it sparked.  Then when they unplugged it, the whole thing came off exposing the wiring.  I then called about 6 electric companies but was given either late dates or high prices.  In frustration, I called Ted Juarez, the owner of THE FENCE CO.  Immediately, he said he would be right over.  HE FIXED IT. NO CHARGE.  The reason I didn't call him right away, it wasn't anything his people did. I thought it was my old wiring that was the problem.  I was impressed.  He and his workers went above and beyond - no question. <br />

After viewing different companies on Angie's list I gave The Fence Company a call on 3/24, Monday morning and wanted to set up a time for an estimate for a cedar fence to be put in on a difficult steep slope .  Ted answered immediately and was able to shift some things around and come out that morning to give the estimate.  This made me very happy.  Ted showed up when he said he would and got started with the estimate.  He was professional and listened to everything I had to say.  He gave me the estimate which was in the ball park of what we were expecting.  He left and I called my husband to talk it over.  Initially, I was going to call for more estimates but decided that since I liked Ted and the fact that he came out right away I would just go with his company to do the job.  I am very glad that I did!  I asked if he could possibly get it done on or around April 2 realizing the weather played an important factor and said he was willing to try to get it done as close to that time as possible.  Turns out April 2 was the day.  Perfect!  He met here with 2 workers and got started telling them what needed to be done.  I can't remember their names but they did a great job keeping me in the loop and asking questions as they came up and making a great effort to get the fence done exactly how I wanted it.  They were patient and genuinely concerned that they were doing things just right.  Communication was great.  When Ted was here doing the initial estimate I mentioned a problem with an older existing fence on the other side of our house. He took a look at it and gave me a suggestion on how to fix it.  When he was here instructing his workers before they started, he told them to do the repair to the other fence even though that was not part of the estimate.  WOW!  The fence is perfect and looks wonderful.  Thank you for getting it done so quickly and painlessly.  You guys did a great job!  I don't think it could have gone smoother. <br />
