We live in South Austin. High winds broke a large tree and it fell on our 8-foot fence. The fence was pulled free from the corner post causing the fence to fall over and dislodge two of the metal posts. I had two other fence companies give bids for the repair. Neither proposal offered the services I requested. Both companies proposed more extensive work with bids from $1350 to $1500. Neither was willing to only replace the damaged posts like I asked, and they couldn’t get to a job “that small" for over three weeks. I called Mark Libby of The Fix It Man Repairs. Mark offered to come the following Wednesday to do a free estimate. I sent pictures of the damage and asked if he could give a “ball park” estimate from the pictures. I asked him to come on that day and fix the fence rather than to just make an estimate. He said he would arrive by 9 AM. He got to our house at 8:45, surveyed the damage, determined what materials would be required, and left to get materials. It turned out that ten-foot steel posts were not readily available at the home improvement stores. He called twice to assure me that he was still looking for posts and had not abandoned me. He returned about 12:30. I thought there was no way one person could finish the project by the end of the day, but I was wrong. He did an excellent job, removed all the scrap pieces, and was finished by 4:45 PM. Mark did the exact task that I had wanted and saved me a substantial amount of money. Mark does work outside of Cedar Park. I will not hesitate to call on him again for my maintenance, repair, and renovation projects. I heartily recommend him to anyone in need of a handyman. Mark knows how to fix it.

We are very happy with the quality of all the work done. Mark was communicative during the entire project, is really friendly and easy to work with, and delivered everything as promised. He even offered to haul away a few oversized items for us and fixed a sticky gate latch. Very positive experience overall and would hire Mark again. Thanks again!

Mark arrived 20 minutes early, after seeing the job quoted a price of $100, and immediately got after it. He did such an excellent job in a short amount of time that I tipped him an additional $20. I will use him again when needed.

Mark got back to me in less than 24 hours, came by the following day to look at project and give me an estimate. We agreed on scope of work and scheduled it for the following Monday. He arrived early, had picked up the replacement door, went to work and did an excellent job of installing it. Also took care of a little siding replacement as well. Would definitely use The Fix It Man again.

Mark did a great job. This was an emergency because we couldn't get the door shut and he came out right away and fixed the double lock for us.

Mark worked with me to clarify exactly what I wanted, and then he got materials and installed many shelves of different lengths and widths in my shed, along with a number of hooks. He also did some small repairs in the house. He was fast and efficient, and I am very happy with the work he did - it came out great.

Mark did such a great job at a good price that I hired him for other projects, These projects were completed so much to my satisfaction that I have called him again to replace and paint some rotting wood on the outside of my house. Mark is awesome. Totally professional, efficient and the quality of his workmanship is great. We had an upstairs bathroom that needed a complete remodel. He repaired damage that had occurred to the floor because of a leak, replaced the toilet, tiled the entire bathroom, painted and installed a glass shower door and a new lighting fixture. He finished exactly on schedule, and within our budget. We'll definitely call him again!

Mark showed up a few minutes before schedule, and did a nice job installing a replacement pre-hung door into an existing door frame. He also painted the door after install. He was professional, respectful, and the work looks good.

Mr. Libby arrived to begin the work at the agreed on time. He accomplished the desired work in an extremely professional and competent manner. All work was completed to our complete satisfaction in agreed upon time, and the bathroom area was thoroughly cleaned and left in an orderly state. Mark was early, looked at what needed to be done, gave me the cost so I had him do it. He was very professional & cleaned up afterwards. The whole project took less than an hour.

Mark is outstanding (particularly in the Austin-world of unreliable contractors)! He's awesome! He's easy to work with; he does what he says he's going to do; and he's trustworthy and reliable. Before Mark I had several bids from top Angie's list vendors (sorry guys) tell me that my work requests "couldn't be done", or "that's going to be a big problem". That turned out not to be true. Mark told me, "no problem...what else would you like done." And then he finished the job. His results were great. He was professional, courteous and competent. I even paid him in advance of the job being completed (and I'd do it again). Work: I had a door switched to open the other-way; fixed the sagging fence on the side of my house; extended and fixed the fence gate to my driveway.

WONDERFUL!! Mark responded just a few minutes after my phone call, set an appointment time, was here at that time, and made the necessary repair in less than an hour. Responsive, professional, courteous....just super!!

Excellent. The deck looks like new again. The Fix It Man Mark did a great job. He did not charge for the estimate and arrived on time every day. Work was done quickly but well. Entire job including paint done in 3 days. Eventual cost was as estimated. He performed the work in a professional, friendly manner. He recommended some extra repair work to make the railing going up the stairs look better which we agreed to. I would not hesitate to hire him again for future projects.
