"Mrs. [Member Name Removed] has not been representing the job or the magnitude of the work done. This was not just a refinishing job. This was a total makeover of a traditional cherry china cabinet of the 80's to a contemporary cabinet painted off white with black trim. At first all went well. We explained we were behind and the job would take some time, but, we would get it done. She wanted all of the doors replaced with 1/4 inch glass, the raised panel doors along the bottom replaced with flat doors. She was going to get new hardware for the cabinet. I will admit that I am ashamed and embarrassed that the job took as long as it did. But I am also pleased with the job done and many people have looked at it and agreed. However, Mrs [Member Name Removed] could not decide on the color of off white she wanted on the cabinet. The glass I ordered, and we both agreed that it would have to be paid for up front, would take time to be custom cut. I had no idea how long that would take. The glass also came in the wrong size twice and needed to be redone. That took time also. Then things went bad to worse. I was accused of stealing the cabinet. I sent pictures showing it was safe and also stopped by the house so she could approve the color and the paint job on one of the drawers. I kept getting harassing phone calls with a lot of threats, cussing, and overall slander. I offered to bring the cabinet back and not charge her anything. She refused. I was also told in July that she had bought a new china cabinet and didn't want it anymore. So I put it in the back and started working on other projects Imagine my surprise when I am contacted by a local TV station regarding the cabinet. It was a quick conversation with a reporter. I wasn't even asked my side of the story. I apologized for the delay and I would have it delivered in a few days. I finished putting the glass in the cabinet, sent pictures of the finished cabinet to the TV station and to Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. I also arranged for it to be delivered by a professional moving company. When the moving company called to schedule the delivery, she cussed them out and the movers called and refused to do the delivery. I gave her the job at no charge except for the glass that I had to buy. It was apparent I was not going to be able to please this woman. It was delivered and I heard nothing back. The movers said the delivery went well. There are obviously other issues in Mrs [Member Name Removed]'s life other than a china cabinet. I know I did a professional job and I asked many for their opinion before it was delivered. Most said they would not have done such a drastic makeover, but, It looked real good. I tried everything I could think of to please this woman. In over 30 years of doing this business, I have never been treated so rude and dealt with someone that has so much anger and vindictiveness. I wish her well and hope she gets help with her internal demons she is facing."
