I contracted with Furniture Medic to refinish and repair my kitchen dining set. Sentimental attachment to the first piece of furniture my wife and I bought over 40 years ago. Don did a remarkable job repairing and refinishing the old dining room set, almost as good as new. He took less time to finish the project than he estimated, so he reduced the final price. That's integrity!

We had an arm of our couch which was broken. We hired the Don to do the work. He came to our house on time and got the repair done relatively quickly. The final charge was lower than the price initially quoted on the phone. We would definitely use his service again.

Among the items, Henredon dining table: Big scrapes, gouges and dings. Don removed years of oxidation, restored the original lustre, repaired the gouges, dings and minimized the scrapes on the table top. Buffet: mover evidently used a grappling hook to move this item. Don repaired the deep gouges in the top. Antique chairs: Don reattached the severed arm on one host chair, repaired the vertical break in the wooden arm of an upholstered chair and the splat backs of several Chippendale antiques. Lowboy: Don restored the gloss and removed the scratches and scrapes in the top of a 20th century lowboy. Sideboard: Don restored the color to the damaged legs of the sideboard my great grandparents' brought to KS from PA in the late 1800s. Chinese server: Gouges on legs. Don matched the black lacquer finish so gouges not apparent. Other items: repaired old mirror frame, bar stools in family room and newel post on stairs. it was as if he couldn't pass damaged items w/o taking action. Thank you, Don. You went above and beyond.

Don did an excellent job repairing our couch.  Our 18 son jumped on it and t broke a board in the middle of couch and it was sagging. He was able to repair it, quickly, and he was so nice.  I felt comfortable with him and he started to work right away. I was thankful that Don was able to come to our house.  There was no other way to get couch fixed.  The price was very reasonable.  Would HIGHLY recommend.  Thank you Angie's List <br />

Don has a great reputation for his work and so he was very busy.  He was able to start on my table about six weeks after I contacted him. <br /> Don worked on my table in the garage working about an hour a day on it over 5 days.  A refinishing job can't be rushed since multiple coats have to have time to dry between application.  We are very happy with the finished product.  The table top looks like new..  I thought the price was fair based upon the multiple days he traveled to my house to work on the table. <br />

So far, it has gone great.  We haven't slept on the bed yet, however. <br /> Don was running a little late, but he called and let us know in a timely manner.  This can happen when there is an earlier appointment, so it is not something I blame Don for. <br /> Don was able to use the broken footboard to make the repair.  He needed to add some brackets, replace and add screws, and glue the pieces together.  I was surprised that the footboard did not need replacement.  However, this meant the wood finish still matched.   <br /> The bed frame looks as good as it did before it was broken.  Because of the way Don repaired the bed frame, it most likely will be stronger than it was originally. <br /> Since the bed is an obsolete size (California queen), we are thrilled that it could be repaired; we can still use the unusually-sized mattress we had made a couple of years ago. <br />
