Brian re-grouted a shower stall and our kids' bathroom. He also fixed up some other missing grout in our master bath. He did a very good job in one section where I think he took off the tile and re-seated it. It took him most of the day and it came out good

If you are thinking about doing business with this contractor, beware of the following: I hired him to fix my tile flooring in the kitchen. This included replacing some broken tiles and re-grouting the entire floor. He performed the work and the charge was roughly 9% higher than the estimate. I wasn’t too bothered about his estimate being off. The work looked good at first, but then it was about 3 to 5 days later that the grout began cracking and falling apart in 7 places around the floor. I called his contact number about 5 or 6 times to try to express my concern before he returned my call. He finally called me back and I proceeded to explain my concern about the cracking grout situation, but he cut me off and hung up abruptly. I left another message on his voicemail, but I never received a call back as of this writing. My thought is if a customer is being asked to pay more than the original quote and if the customer has a question or a concern about the quality of the work later on, the contractor should at least extend a common courtesy of calling the customer back or offering to take a second look at the work that was done.

"[Member Name Removed] As you know, the job was estimated for 5 cracked tiles and four loose tiles, but the actual job turned out to be 12 tiles. That is actually 25% more tiles, but I only charged you the hourly rate that is stipulated on the estimate if we encounter unforeseen problems. The problem with the floor is sub-standard installation. I did not cut you off, and I told you I would not be able to check it last week, but will this week."

We had some issues, getting him to come back was a little rough because he is very busy.

His price was good. He came and did the job but we right away had some chipping of the new grout. He had to come back twice to fix it.

The best part, I think just the workmanship, was pretty good. I mean, I think we had no complaints about any of that, it was well done. I think the issue that we had was the price. I think we were not quite happy with the way that he sort of explained the price, to give us an estimate.

He gave us an estimate, it was an hourly rate. I think that the amount of work that he did, he took the less time he estimated to do it, but he still charged us the estimated rate based on how much time he estimated it would take, and that?s crazy. That was the issue. It wasn?t terrible, but I remember being kind of surprised by it.
The work was performed in June 2016. Brian told me before he started that the foyer issue is because a few tiles are loose and need to be re-set. That was supposed to be part of the job. 3 days after he was done, the grout was cracked again. I called him, he came over, re-set a couple of tiles, and told me I owed him another $140 (which I didn't agree to pay, needless to say). 3 months later, the foyer grout has exactly the same issue as before he started, and the shower which he re-grouted is in worse shape than before he started. I will now need to hire another contractor (hopefully a reputable one this time) to re-do everything that Brian did.

Brian and his son came to regrout the floor for two bathrooms. When they got here, Brian started downstairs and his son worked on the bathroom upstairs. Upstairs turned out great, except a piece of new grout broke off five days after he did the work. I called that day, and my husband called three days after and left a message as well, which was over two weeks ago, and have not heard back. We wanted that piece fixed. We also stated in our messages that we weren't happy with how the downstairs bathroom turned out - how since last minute we went with just cleaning instead of regrouting, as Brian had suggested, in order to save some money. But, the grout is two different colors and we want that fixed for the difference in cost. So, since the two weeks went by and we hadn't heard back, we felt that future customers should be aware of what happened.

A perfect experience, besides being a skilled craftsman, Brian is a total professional. He walked us through the options, the process, what to expect, the cost, committed to the time and price as proposed and the outcome could not have turned out better. As far as contractors go, he's a huge breath of fresh air.

I called because we were having a problem with cracked grout, which we suspected was causing leaks through to our basement. He agreed to come and do an estimate. When he was here he did some work that he was able to do quickly in recaulking the exterior of the guest bathroom shower and adjusting the runner on the door. He inspected the master bath shower and informed me that ideally it should be a single piece on the entrance to avoid just this, but said he could repair what was there and arranged a time to return to do the rest of the work.

He was running half an hour late and called to confirm. He arrived and did the remainder of the work on the guest shower and even checked and did some extra touches as well to make sure it wouldn't leak. He then regrouted the entrance of the master bath shower and let us know when it would be okay to use again.

He was polite and straightforward and the estimate is what I paid. I would use him again (though I hope I won't have to).

Another visit from the grout guy to do a few more rooms. As before, the work is top-notch, quick, and clean. Also, appreciated the very courteous phone call earlier in the day advising us that he may be slightly delayed in getting to us because of an unexpected problem on the previous job.

my first experience with brian's work a year or two ago was outstanding and I rated him that way.

when I tried to reach brian a few months ago for additional work, he didn't respond for 2 months due to his busy schedule, and I rated him poorly for that.

today, brian returned for the additional work, and did his usual outstanding quality work.

Brian was fantastic! Knowledgeable and professional. We had gutted our bathroom a year ago and the contractor did a poor job with the tile. The grout was cracking and actually fell out of one of the corners of the shower and was leaking into our basement.
Brian came and told me that they should not have grouted the corners, but used caulk (which expands/contracts). He matched the grout color perfectly and replace the grout with caulk all around the tub and corners.
He was fast and the job looks great! No leaks! Recommend highly.
We noticed that water was leaking into our garage. My husband figured out that it was coming from our shower and through trial and error, realized water was seeping through the tiles in the wall of our shower. We called Brian and left a message for him to call us back. He called back that day and made an appt to come look at our shower either the next day or the day after. We wanted him to re-grout the whole shower, but he told us we did not need to do that. He told us we just needed to re-grout in certain areas and to caulk in other areas. He could have said OK to re-grouting the whole shower and charge us $500, but he told us it was not necessary and estimated it would cost around $250. He came back in a few days to do the job. He was very busy but managed to fit us in because it was not a very involved job. As it turns out, he did not spend as much time as he thought, so he only charged us $200. When does that usually happen…never. Brian was professional, punctual, courteous, neat and worked very quickly. The shower is great now and there are no leaks into the garage anymore.
I would totally recommend Brian. He was great.
