THE HANDYMAN BY DON MARTIN

I called Don in the beginning of the week and he worked around my schedule and was there, on time, by the end of the same week. What should have been an easy faucet replacement was complicated by the fact that the hole in my granite was smaller than the new faucet I had purchased. When Don told me this, I was sure I would have to go find a new faucet to fit the hole but he persevered and was determined. He was able to make the hole larger without damaging my granite and the finished product looks beautiful. He cleaned up any mess that was made and is very professional. I will absolutely call Don again!

Arrived early. Made short work of a difficult and oddball job. Excellent communication, and professionalism. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Went very well. No problems whatsoever. He actually went above and beyond what he was hired to do in that he cleaned the fan and the coils near the bottom of the refrigerator.

He is the company. I use him on a regular basis and he is very good. He does good quality work. He is priced very reasonably. He comes when he says he is going to come. If he doesn't come, he calls me to tell me why he could not come. He doesn't leave me hanging. I will continue to use his service in the future.

Mr Martin was excellent. He phone us to inform us that he would be just a little late which we understood and very appreciative of the phone call. Very professional. We gave him a coupon for a discount and he gave it back to use in the future. Very satisfied with his work and will use again.

It went great and I have him set up to do more work for us in the future.

We are very happy with Donnie's work. In some instances, some parts were hard to find but Donnie did find them and either ordered them or picked them up and installed them. We are very, very satisfied with his work, his work ethic and will call him again.

Don was suppose to come on Tuesday 8/11/09 and when he didn't I called him. He said that he lost the paper with my number on it. He came the next day. He was okay, but several times he made reference to me giving him a perfect score on here. I was not given the Senior Discount and I totally forgot to give him the coupon for $25.00 off. All in all, he is much slower than others have said. Maybe if he didn't spend so much time on his phone. I think that I paid too much in light of the amount of work that he did.

Everything was fixed and the tub and shower look great.

Don was very responsive and punctual and knew what he was doing. He didn't do the easy fix, he did the right fix. He got right to work and got the job done.

Very personable and friendly. Clean and neat, picked up everything as they went along. Adjusted doors for me that he thought were sticking and it wasn't even on the list!

Met Donny after speaking with him on the phone to discuss jobs I was looking to have done. Found Donny to be a very likeable and honest man. Don was happy to answer any questions my wife and I had regarding the work to be done. Met us at Home Depot to assist in selecting the doors and toilets as well as transporting them to our home. Donny did a fantastic job, he cleaned up after each day and in the end removed the old doors off the property. Would we hire Donny again? faster then you can blink your eyes. When telling my brother about Donny my brother said; wow! tell him I'll fly him up to New York and he could stay with them as the work is being done. Donny pack your bags New York is calling......

One rule is never trust your eyes.I wold have bet Obamas war chest that the rail was a true 2 by 12.Well it was not and I had to have it milled.Measure twice cut once.This added $60.00 to the cost of the job.I found a great mill shop off Alico Road.

He?s fast, very reliable and he keeps his word. He?s not a price gouger and you can trust him. Way to go Donny! Please never change the person you are.

We had bought a new home that had shutters according to code. If a storm was forecast, it would have been impossible for me to put the shutters up because they were made to fit horizontally. I don't even own an electric drill, which is a must for this kind of installation. When Don came we analized each window and door opening and what best could be done. He already had gone to Lowe's to inquire about the material prices. With prices in hand, we could decide what type of shutters to use to make it cost efficient and safe. It was a pleasure working with him, his ideas were excellent and I will now be able to shutter the house myself, if the need arises. I have many more projects that need to be addressed and yes, I will ask Don to do the work. PS: I should mention that over 70% of the cost went for material.

I purchased the light system @ Lowe's. Don came and made the cement pad one day. He returned another day to install the light. I had to leave when he put in the light. When he removed the light from the box, he found that one of the three lights was broken. He went to Lowe's, exchanged the light, and then installed the new one. WOW!!! What great service, he really went above and beyond to be sure that the job was to perfection! I was extremely pleased with his attention to every detail of the job!

DESPITE A BRIEF MISUNDERSTANDING AS TO WHY HE COULD NOT DO SOMETHING WE DESIRED, THIS WAS RESOLVED AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

Once again Don arrived right on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Looking forward to hiring him again and highly recommend his services.

I called Don because my disposal and dishwasher stopped working. He did some terrific troubleshooting and got the dishwasher back into service. He found the trouble to be with the breaker switch but also that the disposer had shorted out (I'll call for warrantied service). While here, he cleaned out the disposal (yuck) and the kitchen sink drain, as well. Also, at my request, he figured out how to fix the outlet so that those two 3-prong plugs will now fit without being jammed together. Smart guy! His service was tip-top -- prompt, courteous, efficient, thorough, and very reasonable on the charge.

Don is a "GOTO" guy and will tackle any job he feels competent at. He is honest about what he can and cannot do. His charges are fair and you get your money's worth. Show him the job and get out of the way.

I wish my closet was as neat as Don's truck.he had tools,supplies,ladders,glues,drills,and anything you could need to fix a home owners repair problems.I have been dealing with tradesmen for 40 years,Don is a gem,hire him and you will be happy.You will never hear the "Its goonna bee a biiiigg job" from Don.

Did an excellent job.

Made the appointment approx. 2.5 weeks in advance. A couple days before, Donny had to reschedule, but offered an earlier date as a choice. We rescheduled, and he showed up, on time. He knew I had some concerns about drilling through my countertop, but he was pro all the way. Several hours after he left, I found a small leak. I called Donny the next morning, and he came and fixed the issue in about 20 minutes. I have some other projects that I cannot do myself. I will definitely call Donny for those projects.

I can add to the applause for Donny Martin. He is personable and capable. I will most certainly call him with future problems.
