Absolutely PERFECT!   <br /> As this is a historical home in a town to which we are relocating from across the country, we depended on Mr. Woodmansee to literally be our eyes, ears and noses!  We were NOT disappointed!  He was extremely thorough with exceptional attention to the smallest details. John Woodmansee, home inspector, and his assistant Linda, did a thorough job inspecting what is to be our new home in Winston-Salem. John was very patient and informative throughout his tour of the home; in fact, it was, for me, an enjoyable learning experience. I, and the sellers of the house, agree that his inspection was fair. The team was extremely professional. John is very knowledgeable and is willing to teach future homeowners about their home. He was able to answer every question I had. The inspection was very thorough. It was obvious John has been doing this for decades by detail he provided me in the inspection report.  <br /> I would highly recommend John to anyone needing to complete a home inspection.  <br />

The Home Inspector was remarkably thorough and spent about 5 hours inspecting the home.  John was very helpful and provided lots of useful information.  The inspection did include all crawl spaces, the attic, and the roof as well.  He didn't just do a visual inspection from a distance: he got in/on everything.  <br /> The report after the inspection was incredibly detailed and included photos and sketches.  <br /> I would highly recommend The Home Inspector! <br />

He was excellent, he spent hours doing an inspection. I felt like I got my moneys worth. Everyting he predicted what would happen did. He inspected the dishwasher and refrigerator. He inspected every outlet. He went up on the roof. I just couldn't get over how wonderful he was. The price was well worth it. I have never had anybody as thorough as he was.

The $400 price tag was competitive. At first, I thought the $120 price for the radon inspection was high but after seeing the equipment he uses, I feel more confident in the results of the test.  That peace of mind makes it worth the price.

He is very thorough, takes his time, and is very detailed.

This is the 2nd home inspection John has done for me (the other was 4 yrs ago). He is very professional and knowledgeable. He explains things at a level a normal consumer understands. Very thorough, takes his time and is not bothered when you ask questions. He was able to come within a couple of days of my calling for an appointment. His rates are reasonable and he emails the report shortly after as well as sending a hard copy.

Mr. Woodmansee performed a very thorough inspection over several hours. He was careful to explain what repairs would need to be done, why they need to be done, and even how to perform them. The report recommended certain repairs and allowed us to put together a cogent repair agreement for the seller. Mr. Woodmansee was very personable, professional, and knew his stuff. A+ all around.

John was prompt and polite. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions as he went through the inspection and even gave us tips and hints on how to repair or improve certain items (example: he recommended adding gravel around an outdoor shed to help water drain away from the base of the shed..). The inspection lasted about 5 hours on a 2100 square foot home! John was VERY thorough- just like the other reviewers said he would be. He opened every door, every drawer and every cabinet. He examined every wall, door frame, door, etc. He ran the water in all the faucets, checked every step and every banister. He took very thorough notes, and we received a summary of the inspection within 48 hours via email. We then received the full report, along with pictures and additional "homecare" information via mail within the week. The only thing I want to note is that John measured high CO2 levels in 2 places. However, when the home owners had the fire department and a second inspector check the levels, they found that they were below normal. I'm not sure why that was. We still plan on installing CO2 detectors.

I actually made the appointment after office hours when his secretary responded to my voicemail request from her home. Mr. Woodmansee arrived on time, was methodical and thorough in his work, and provided commentary on his findings throughout the day. He noted everything from an unsafe deck to a sticking drawer in the kitchen. I would definitely use him again.

I rarely give such a glowing evaluation but Mr. Woodmansee is the best in the area of home inspections. I would call him 'board certified' which he is a member/a director of ASHI and other types of societies of home inspectors. Mr. Woodmansee is detailed oriented which is critical when one is making a decision as to whether or not to buy a certain house. I was a G.C. in Manhattan and I would NOT buy a house/building without Mr.Woodmansee first inspecting the property.
