Great, done the same day I called, and it was for 24 doors. No problem over fixing someone else's mess. Now the doors open and close completely, no rubbing or sticking. Should have done this before. Live and learn.

Everyone was lovely to work with.  All the crews who came to the house were very nice.  The end results were also lovely for the most part.  The cabinets are beautiful, but we do have some chipping of paint on the cabinets already which is disappointing since they are only a few months old.  The fireplace looks great.  The new windows are great.  We did have some leaking the first time it rained but they came back and caulked to fix that problem and also sanded and painted some of the damage to the cabinets.  We were very pleased with their prompt response to that issue. <br /> As I said, they were lovely to work with, but communication was a challenge.  I wasn't clear on who my point of contact was supposed to be so I felt like I was bugging Vicky but I wasn't sure if that was part of her job.  I had to call a lot to find out when things were going to be completed.  I had to really stay on top of what still needed to be done and remind them.  We ran into a couple miscommunications. For example, we assumed that they would reinstall the appliances they pulled out of the kitchen as part of the scope of work but that was extra.  We also asked for a final walk through to go over the work done.  There were a lot of little issues that made the project look unfinished or unpolished.  Most of those were fixed in that final walk through.  <br /> Overall I would recommend them but I would encourage customers to be super specific in the initial contract and plan to be a project manager throughout the process.  I would also ask for a final walk through to have them correct anything that doesn't look right. <br />

<p>Initial miscommunication about first estimate visit. Immediately, the owner, Tony Forfa contacted me, apologized and came out to do the estimate himself. From that point forward, everything went exceedingly well. I do feel that the willingness to correct with professionalism and performance is very much appreciated. The install went perfectly, and the wonderful service was the bright spot in a long process. My kitchen renovation was due to a leak, and mold abatement, not a planned renovation. Kitchen Specialists will get all PLANNED work in the future. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Wonderful company, with an eye toward excellent customer service. I am not only thrilled with results, but with the experience. Mr. Forfa was responsive to my need economize, and helped me make decisions which provided me with cost saving options. I have a crazy dog, and they were very helpful in letting me know they were near, so I could take care of her, and not have a canine melt down. The young man, Chris, who did the install was so professional and very thorough. He also helped me with some of the choices I needed to make and was very neat in his work area. I highly recommend Kitchen Specialists and I would use them for any remodeling--especially high end, custom work.

The experience was very good. They gave great advice their suggestions were very valid when I needed it. They were very professional and punctual. If they were late they always called and did not leave us wondering and also let us know if they  were going to be early. I am very please with the outcome of the work. I would use them again in the future. I recommend them to others.

They were outstanding and extremely helpful. They are good. The work is being done by another company. They went out of their way to make sure that she got all the rebates possible. It took them at least an hour and a half to two hours to write up the invoice; they did this to ensure that she gets all the credits as far as rebates could be acquired. This was way above and beyond what they ordinarily would do so I was impressed. I have purchased from them in the past but never to this degree. They have always been very attentive. They give me all the different options. They provide very good customer service after the sales as well so I have been very pleased. I am going to be purchasing a new stove top from them in the future.

Overall we were initially very happy with Kitchen Specialists.  They showed up when they said they would, and called if they couldn't make it.  We were pleased with the responsiveness and quality of the work. <br /> HOWEVER...the tilers had to come out about about a year after all the work was done to replace the tiles in the dining room.  Moisture had come up and compromised the floor and the tiles had cracked where the joists were.  This was under warranty.  After the guys had finished up they informed us that Tony said the work was under warranty, but that we needed to pay an additional $500 to cover the cost of the materials.   Since we had not been informed of this prior to the work we refused to pay unless we were presented with paperwork we had signed covering this possibility.  We did not receive any further paperwork from Kitchen Specialists. <br /> Today (12/13/2012) we had an installer out to replace the 2 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher that had broken.  We had purchased the KA from a different vendor, but Kitchen Specialists installed it. In fact, Tony, the owner of Kitchen Specialists, was involved in the installation of the dishwasher. <br /> When the installer pulled it out today  (and I have pictures) we found a hole in the floor where the electrical box and been shoved through to make room for the dishwasher.  The electrical box - directly under a water source, hanging down inside a 1' x 1' hole.  We are on a raised foundation, so the local critters have spacious access to the house. <br /> Even if this were under warranty I would not ask Kitchen Specialists to come out and repair their mess.  I will need to hire at the very least a competent handyman, an electrician, and a plumber to install the new dishwasher - properly. <br />

They were awesome. The did exactly what they promised to do. Their communication was good. Their craftsmen were professional. My overall experience with them was excellent. I am getting ready to remodel my kitchen so will definitely use them again.

I heard about kitchen specialists on the Christian radio station I listen to.  When the time was right to get serious about our kitchen remodel, I took a drive to their showroom.  From the very beginning, their staff and tradesmen were friendly and professional.  On this first visit to their showroom, I met with Steven and we did a rough layout with the approximate measurements I brought with me.  I let him know that except for one area, I liked the basic layout of my kitchen.  We met for about an hour to determine a layout, options, and ball park price range.  Then Tony came out for an actual measurement and quote. I felt totally confident and at ease with Kitchen Specialists and all of their tradesmen who worked on our project.  . The project started on time and  they kept us informed and updated throughout the entire process. Yes, there were a few "glitches" during the project, as with any remodel,  but they were handled quickly to our satisfaction.   We were only out of our kitchen for  about 3 weeks, not much time considering the scope of the remodel.  We actually gutted the kitchen and went down to the 2 x 4's.  <br /> The cabinetry they built is beautiful, just as I expected and fit perfectly with my new appliances. The granite countertop is a plus, and adds so much to the overall look of my kitchen. The recessed lighting throughout is a wonderful addition since previously we only had one light, above the sink.  The tradesmen who worked on our project were professional, knowledgeable, courteous, mindful of our concerns, and arrived when scheduled.  On the rare occasion that they were delayed, we got a call from either the office or the tradesman himself. The areas where they worked were cleaned up when they were done for the day, never left a mess! They protected the rest of our home from construction dirt and dust as much as possible.  I never had any concerns about them working inside our home. <br /> I am totally satisfied with Kitchen Specialists and the remodel/update of our outdated kitchen. So satisfied that I have since had them do a total update of the main bathroom in our home.  Again great experience with a great company.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the services provided by the Kitchen Specialists. Staff was excellent and work area was always left clean. Kitchen remodel was done in a timely matter. The owner is personable and delivered exactly what was ordered. We highly recommend the Kitchen Specialists.

From start to finish from the manager to all the workers that came on the job DID their part "EXCELLENT"   OUR FAMILY LAST RATINGS FOR THIS COMPANY. from one to ten "We give them ONE MILLION".

The work turned out okay, but it was a hassle. They did good work but I had to be on them constantly to get the work done. I did not like that they continually tried to do upgrades from the contract I was provided.

The remodel went well and looks good after 4 years.

They were horrible. They were the reason I joined Angie’s List. I was looking to avoid repeating that sort of experience. They promised us a certain timeframe that they didn’t follow through on. They delivered a cabinet that was too big for our bathroom. They cut it down, and then our sinks didn’t fit. They didn’t show up when they said they were going to. The owner of the company was such a jerk. It was just a nightmare. We paid them. We just wanted out. They didn’t secure the pipe in the wall, so they had to reopen the wall that had already been textured and painted, just so that they could attach the pipe. It was a mess. It took them about three months to finish a small bathroom. We have it all documented on our calendar at home. It was a horrible experience that kept us awake at night. Their workmanship was poor. Even with all those problems, if we had received great quality work, we would have been fine with it. We didn’t get the quality we expected. They put the tiles on wrong and we had to call them back. It just wasn’t good quality work. We don’t mind paying for good quality. We think their price was too high. They were terrible. We just wouldn’t recommend them at all.

The cabinets have been done so poorly that I will have to have some one else come out and fix it. All their work is amateur and the finish on it is just terrible. I had to negotiate a lower price with the owner. They did all they could do to do the cheapest job. I would not recommend them to anyone. They were virtually never on time. Sometimes they wouldn't even show. They said that they did call when they were late but we never did get any calls. They took a month longer to complete the job.
