The Landscapers

Worst experience with a contractor, ever! Do Not Use! Gave Mike Todd of the landscapers of Westchester $20,000 in early March as a deposit. $14,000 of the money was to order a very specific synthetic grass material. After three and a half months we had to call the synthetic grass company to find out our order was never placed. Even though Mike Todd and his staff repeatedly told us they were checking on the order and that it would be “dropped shipped directly” to us. Mike Todd could not produce a receipt and claimed it was common to have material shipped cash on delivery, even though that is not the grass company’s policy. The company needs 100% of the money upfront to place an order. Mike Todd should know that. His excuse is that the salesperson messed up. That a salesperson, of six years’ experience, doesn’t know how to sell or explain anything and took Mike Todd’s order as a bid, not a sale. OK! No receipts! No emails! No nothing! Come on! What company is going to ship $14,000 of material, with a first-time customer, for cash on delivery? This isn’t a pallet of mulch! We tried to reach out to the salesperson but he was away in NYC and unavailable, in June. In August, after Mike Todd refused to return all of our $20,000 deposit, we finally spoke with the salesperson from foreverlawn and he DID NOT back up Mike Todd. Here’s the salesperson’s response: “Per our conversation, Mike Todd called into the office inquiring pricing for the K9Grass ( $7.00 per sq. ft.). I think he was looking for approximately 1,820 sf? We never received an order from him because there was never any payment made. Product only sales are 100% payment before any material is ever shipped.” What has Mike Todd been doing with $20,000 of our money!? And he still has all of it! Mike Todd then tries to get us to sign an NDA. He wanted to charge us 6% to return our money if we signed an NDA, basically saying we are not allowed to talk about this. We declined and said we would only sign for a full return of our money. Mike Todd refused to return all of our deposit, even though he never bothered to us it to order our material! Currently have an attorney dealing with this. Mike Todd also claimed, via his attorney, that he has: “received and will forward one (an email) from the sales manager explaining that it was a mutual mistake.” Mike Todd claims he has received and will be sending proof that he is right and that we are wrong. Instead, Mike Todd sends an email from the “Dealer Onboarding” rep, stating: “I apologize that this situation has become so complicated.” This is the proof Mike Todd tries to, finally, after over four months, give us? Just awful! Still cannot even produce a receipt! In process on filling a complaint with the local consumer protection agency.

They were great! They are very knowledgeable and professional and explained exactly what was going to be done how and why. I would recommend them to anyone and will most certainly call on them again.

5- Stars across the board. The Landscapers did an outstanding job at my house about 2 years ago and it still looks amazing. I had a retaining wall built in the back, a patio, a walkway leading to the patio, driveway paved, new sod, and a front walk done. Literally, a complete overhaul. This was 2 years and not a single weed has grown through or stone moved! Start to finish, they were polite, professional, clean, articulate, and just plain friendly. You don't find that anymore Job Cost: $45,000 Experience: Flawless Reactions from my friends and family when they visit: PRICELESS No question, go with them.

So pleased with the work that Mike and The Landscapers did at my property! He was so knowledgeable and attentive to what I was looking for, accommodating whatever he could. Our yard and new fence look amazing! Would absolutely recommend.
