They sucked.. Came in to my house to fix my shower that was leaking and when they left I still had a leaking shower but now it leaks black water. I sent a video of the disaster to the man that did the work and he called me back and threated me. Do not use this company
Response from The Lindsay Co
"Sorry you did not feel we met your obligations. The shower valve was leaking before we arrived. The tech explained the valve needed replaced and made the leak less than it was before leaving. Enjoy the day."

The came to check why we were not getting Hot Water in one of the bathrooms. His recommendation - the entire house's plumbing has to be redone and we have break down the walls. Cost estimate $10-15K We had another plumber come down and it was done with a total spend of $300.
Response from The Lindsay Co
"A cross connection between the hot and cold water lines is what caused there to be no hot water. Glad the other company found the problem and corrected it. We did not cause the cross connection and your warranty company does not cover to find an issue that is not normal wear and tear."

I was about to go on a 3 week trip. I noticed the upstairs basin overflowing. With a flight booked paid and leaving in 4 hours... what to do??? The guys from Lindsay Plumbing came out as fast as possible... cleared the blockage in a matter of minutes. Their promptness literally saved me thousands in damages. Thank you Jim.

This company is extremely dishonest and was trying to sell me on repairs outside of the home warranty contract. The plumber purposely lied about the damages and lied about my claim status. He made up a story that my floors were replaced and the damage was due to the floor level of the new floors. He purposely tries to get Home Warranty Claims denied so that he can charge extremely high prices outside of the home warranty, i.e. making sure the claim gets denied. He also did not clean up after he left. Extremely unprofessional and would NOT recommend their services. He made sure my claim was denied and then tried to charge me $575 to get a toilet flange replaced. The normal cost for this service is around $200 maximum including original service call, parts, and service.
Response from The Lindsay Co
"Good afternoon. I have reviewed the pictures of your flange. The flange is approximately 3/4" below finished floor. The wax has washed away which is why the water closet starting leaking. The flange shall be even or 1/4" above finished floor. The tile looks like it was added and this is why the flange is below finished floor. We do not determine coverage from your warranty company. We tell them what we find and they decide what is covered and what is not covered. If you do not like the price feel free to shop around as I am sure there will be some greater and some less. When we do a repair it is not a temporary add on to the existing flange. Most companies will not pull and reset your water closet for $200. Thanks for understanding."

very unprofessional technician. He was assigned by American Home shield insurance company to check on a minor leak from the side wall tile near my bath tub. When the technician from this company came in to my house first he checked the issue and told me that he need to get access to see inside the tub to check the pipe. So I called another plumber to remove the side panel from the tub wall. After two weeks another technician came in and he made a statement that some one drilled a hole in the pipe so it won't be covered by AHS. He put me to a shock stage and walked away. My house is 10 year old and I am the first owner. I have been using this tub for the past 10 years and never had any issue until last month. Why would some one make a hole in a pipe where there was not even a complaint ever and it is a closed unit. This guy his name is Chad -he did not even inspect the area well. he barely took a pic with his cell phone and made this unethical statement that "the owner made a hole in the built in pipe" ! I don't believe a licensed professional or technician would ever think that way. I made a second opinion with a technician and he said it was from deposits and erosions on the metallic pipe and it could be changed and problem could be solved. I would never suggest this company to enter in my neighborhood. Emailed all my friends and posted social media as well. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WANT YOUR PROBLEM TO BE FIXED GET SOME ONE ELSE.

AHS sent to have my water heater replaced they knocked a hole in my wall and replaced a pipe that I later found out that was suppose to be covered under my warranty as well as they were suppose to rough in the hole they created. Also the water heater wasn’t bad it was the pipe leaking. Wouldn’t give me a company receipt and won’t return phone calls. BEWARE UNRESPONSIVE UNPROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS! They other reviews on here are fake.
Response from The Lindsay Co
"Good morning the pipe that was leaking was covered under your warranty company. The other pipe that was replaced was discussed with you before hand and you decided to have it replaced. The pipe has to be leaking for AHS to cover. They do not cover for preventive maintenance."

This review involves the handling of a leaking water heater issue through American Home Shield (AHS). After contacting AHS, they assigned Lindsay Plumbing to address the issue. Lindsay reached out to me on the same day and immediately scheduled an appointment. I was told that I would be contacted by Chad relative to a Friday, 8:00 am appointment. On September 7, 2018, Chad called and advised he would be at my residence at 8:00 am. He arrived promptly at 8:00 am on that day. He introduced himself and we went to the upstairs 2nd floor attic. While in the attic, I could hear him talking to an AHS representative, advising them of the problem and discussing what parts he would need to replace the water heater. Once he was downstairs, we discussed the heater needing to be replaced. I also received a call from AHS advising me what my out of pocket cost (permit, parts and labor) would be, and that they would take care of the replacement water heater. Chad scheduled the following Friday for the work. The following Friday, Chad and his associate arrived promptly at 8:00 am. and immediately got to work. Chad and his associate worked in the attic removing the old and replacing the new water heater. It took them about an hour to complete the installation and removal of the old water heater. Chad provided me with the requisite paperwork relative to the new water heater and indicated that his office would be scheduling a City inspection the following week. Overall, both gentlemen were very professional, and cordial. They did an excellent job. As a footnote, I learned that I would be heading out of town the following week. I contacted Lindsay to expedite the city inspection. I spoke to Sherrie. I advised her of my situation. She told me that she would be calling the City Inspectors office to see when she could arrange before I left town. Within minutes, I received a voice mail back from Sherrie advising me that she had scheduled an afternoon appointment with the City Inspectors office, within the next two days. The inspector come out two days later and issued my permit. Again, I applaud the professionalism exhibited by all persons with Lindsay that handled this matter.

I was home with my grandchildren, ages 5 & 9 at my daughters house, when the warranty work was being done. Mark and another person come to do the work. They showed up after 8:30 and ran in and out, up and down the stairs, never saying anything to me, often leaving the front door wide open for long periods of time. I had to get up on three occasions to close the door. At 10:30 mark comes to me and asks if my daughter had left a check for him. I didn't know anything about a check. Mark said it was $640 and the warranty company had called my daughter to tell her that's what it would cost. I called my daughter at work, she knew nothing about it. Within minutes Mark was being extremely rude to my daughter on the phone and threatening to remove "his heaters". Mark made me extremely uncomfortable and to avoid conflict in front of my grandchildren, I paid the $640 on MY CREDIT CARD. Mark said I would get a receipt by email which I did. This receipt is for $640 is a joke. No name, No Address, no details, all it says is "goods/services".

My daughter calls American Home Shield and was told that the Lindsay Company was NOT authorized to do any of the work that he was charging for. All of the services he charged for should have been quoted and approved in advance. Notice above where I said he never said or asked me anything. A bill in any amount should have been itemized.

Monday morning, if my credit card is not refunded, I will be disputing the charges.
We have not had hot water for 4 days. We were referred by our home warranty company, hence paid $75 for the service. Two men came out today, decided that our water heater was not working and were confused as to why. They kept saying, "this is very confusing because the pilot light is on". They could not seem to conceive of the notion that the thermostat would allow the heater to run for less than a minute and then it would shut off. The pilot remained lit during the whole process, as it had from 4 days ago. They would get it to run, then it would stop, get it to run, then it would stop... and so on. Finally it was running, after they said they had fixed a stuck thermostat, and they left. Minutes later it was not running again.
I called the Lindsay Co and the scheduling woman put me on hold to call the men who had just left. Upon resuming our conversation, she argued with me that the heater had to have 30 minutes before we could have hot water. I told her it was NOT running and she asked if the pilot light was on. When I said yes, she told me to leave it alone for 30 minutes and then call back if I still didn't have hot water. I told her it was NOT running (again) and she said, "what do you mean running?" I was subsequently told by this woman that if the pilot light was on and it's a gas heater, then it would work. I called back in 10 minutes and told her it was like putting a pot of water on the stove and not turning on the burner. She still argued with me. There was no one available to talk to me except her. She was certain that she was right and that I had no clue about how this worked. When I suggested another repair person, she assured me that the plumber and assistant who came out were licensed.
At this point, who knows how this will turn out. Not only were the "licensed plumbers" unqualified for this effort, but I was treated as though my mental capabilities were limited. How can this happen and these "plumbers" still stay in business? I see that the BBB has closed 10 complaint issues with their service in the last 3 years. I just want a hot shower and it looks like I won't be getting that today.
If there is a good resolution to this issue, I will be more than happy to state that here, also. In fact, I'm looking forward to it.
.
"Thanks for your business. After replacing all major components of your hot water heater one forgot to tell the plumber about the remodel that was going on in the home. After this plumber found where the hot and cold water were mixing together. This is the reason for the lukewarm water. Glad we were able to get this taken care of for you."

Like some other reviewers, I came upon the Lindsay Co. through AHS home warranty. They came two days after the call, gave me the promised heads up before arriving. Courteous and answered all my many questions. Fixed the problem. No complaints! I'll follow up if something comes up with the repair, but I'm happy.
