Tom was on time and was a super nice guy. He hung a new chandelier in my dining room as well as a new light in my foyer. He mentioned that he treats the work he does in other peoples homes as if he were doing it in his own home. Highly recommend him for any type of handy work needed around your home. <br />

I called Tom due to all the good reviews I read about him and his work here on angie's list. Even after reading the good reviews, Tom and his work absolutely exceeded my expectations! <br /> When i first called Tom I left him a message. Less than an hour later he returned my call. He told me he could stop by the following day to take a look at what I needed done and he could assess then if it was possible for him to do it the same day or on a different day. He called me promptly the following morning and was in my house 20 min later. He was straightforward about what the job required and the costs once he saw what he was dealing with. Tom left to the store to purchase the supplies he needed to replace half of the door frame and returned shortly after. After he finished the job I couldn't even tell that part of the frame had been replaced. He was very polite and professional and I can truly tell he takes pride in the work he does and what the final product looks like. <br /> <br /> <br />

Prior to coming out to the house Tom quoted me $45/hr with a 5 hr. minimum. I provided Tom with a list of all the items I needed to have completed, all the work was completed on the list in a timely fashion, with the exception of a ceiling fan to be hung in the in the living room. The chandelier in the dining room was a special project do to relocating the electrical outlet in the ceiling, which took additional time and expense ($150). Tom checked out the wiring in the attic and was able to relocate the outlet. Tom was very helpful and would suggest things to assist in your decision making. Tom was very professional, Punctual, and Friendly. <br />

Had a tricky window AC that needed a custom frame for install. Tom's work was excellent and my tenant has a nice cool bedroom. Would highly recommend Tom for any general handyman jobs around the house. <br />

"This review dates back almost two months ago and I"m curious to know why you wrote a review which seems to deal with personality rather than quality. You did give me A's for quality & price thank you. Punctuality : I did arrive at your home at the appointment time (?). Responsiveness: I did return your call within 6 hrs to set the appointment (?). Professionalism: I did advise you that the existing plastic ceiling electrical box, In my opinion, was not safe enough to hang the ceiling fan. After a search of my van, I was out of stock of the proper metal ceiling box so I had to go to the store to buy three boxes, one for you and two to replenish my truck stock. I may not have been feeling my best that day,(really don't remember), but I did give you my best and when I left you were happy and satisfied that I did professionally replaced the plastic box with the proper metal box, I'm confused."

Tom Balsamo showed up on time. He is a wonderful handyman. He fixed everything on my list which included installing towel racks (two) moving or installing safety bars to better spots, fixed a wall where it had been torn out. He changed lights in our 17 foot ceiling. He also repaired a ceiling light that had been taken down to be cleaned and with it's many parts, he put it all back up. <br /> I highly recommend Tom, (The Master Handyman) and plan to use him in the future as needed. <br />

Great! Except he could not fix two items on my long list which were the wheels on the sliding closet doors or the broken hinge on the linen closet door - it needed to be rebuilt.. Please note that you need to make your checks out to Tom personally as he has no bank accounts under The Master Handyman name. It would have saved me a lot of time had I known that upfront or if it stated that one his invoice. <br />

A major job, which was unexpected by either Tom or myself. I consider his ability to deal with the problem on the spot to be nothing less than first rate. He made a beautiful job of it, and I am extremely grateful for his professionalism. I would recommend him highly. <br />

Tom was great.Very polite and professional. He got all the work done just as we discussed and left my home as he found it. I would use Tom again and actually plan to in the near future for some other fixes we need around the house. This time around he hung 4 large paintings for us. He brought all the tools and hardware necessary to do so. He also painted a 3 food boarder around a room with 12 foot ceilings that we could not reach on our own. His prices are fair and I appreciate his good work. <br />

Tom was very prompt. Went over all work to be done before starting. Did everything I asked him to do. Ran into a little snag so the job took a little longer than expected but unexpected things happen. Would use Tom again if needed work to be done. He was also honest about work I asked him to do which was not his specialty. He recommended that I find someone who specialized in that field to get the best job done. I appreciated his honesty. <br />

Tom to the rescue again. He arrived on time with no excuses and came ready to work. He is very sincere and cares about doing a good job. He has old school values not seen today anymore. He even noticed that a closet door was installed upside down. No one ever noticed that. He has a heck of an eye. He just knows how to do things. I hope he stays in the business for awhile because I have loads of future projects. No monkey business with Tom. Would use him again and again and again..... He does plumbing, woodwork, and practically everything and specializes in electric. Thank you Tom for taking care of us, your fairness is very appreciated. <br />
