The Open Box

This is the fourth time that Open Box Moving has helped us with our moving needs. We just sold three houses in Asheville and not only had to move everything out, we also had to arrange for someone to deliver our new stuff. Open Box took the challenge and they (Keenan and crew) performed flawlessly. I HIGHLY recommend them and if I ever need movers again, I will only use them.

Very professional and easy to work with! We have used Open Box 5 times from moving to our house and also moving heavy furniture from multiple floors in our house. I will always keep them in my contacts.

This is the 2nd time we've used The Open Box. They were fantastic both times. Very careful to not damage the house or furniture. the guys were polite and professional. Responsive to phone calls, confirmation email and follow-up. Price very reasonable.

They were a little late getting there but did an excellent job once they arrived.

The following significant issues occurred during the move: 1. Significant scratches in a newly installed wood floor at the premises being vacated. This was not noticed until the move was complete but photos were taken and sent to Open Box. 2. Large gouge in the LR wall of the "move into" house caused by banging the edge of the DR table into the wall. The lead mover took photos and assured me that it would be fixed. 3. Two pieces of furniture in particular took an excessively long time (IMO) to put back together. My desk and the master bed. The bed in particular seemed to require all 3 members of the team to deal with ... 4. A bracket used to additionally secure two pieces of the deck together was missing. And the biggest issue is that repeated attempts to get in touch with Open Box (Felicia) have been met with silence over the past month. Customer service has been essentially nonexistent.

They are very conscientious and helpful. They are timely (with their estimates of arrival). They could improve their "serve" by returning phone calls more promptly.

Flawless from start to finish. They were extremely effcient packing up the apartment and prepping it for the movers. Movers were fast and well organized. Nothing damaged, good price, great service, and all in all a worry and trouble free move. I cannot recommend highly enough!!! Thank you !!!

Felicia in the office was very responsive, and the guys were absolutely terrific.  I should say that I have moved something like 11 times using professional movers, and this was the best of all those good and bad previous experiences.   Excellent service. They arrive when they say they will, are friendly, and prep the house with pads and runners before beginning moving items.  Care was given to all of my antique furniture, and there was not a scratch on anything.  They work steady and hard.  I cannot say enough positive things about them. <br>

They were on time, 3 guys and 1 truck. They were careful with furniture and the houses, clean, friendly and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently.

I checked the Angie List for movers in my area that handle cross town moving and found the listing for the Open Box.  There were a number of great reviews so I emailed and left a message on their office phone.  <br /> I received an email with their information and I called and explained my needs.  Felicia understood and scheduled me right away for a 3 man crew to meet me at our storage location and load and carry our belongings to our home 4 miles away. She gave me the pricing and allowed for the 5% discount through Angie's List. <br /> The crew was punctual, professional, and worked wonderfully as a team.  They were very careful and it seemedt they had been working together for a while. <br /> It took them an hour to carefully load our belongings, much of it packed into boxes, on their truck from the 10X20 locker. They followed us to our new home and immediately began to unload most of the boxed items into our garage, and furniture into our home.   <br /> The entire move took 2 hours and 15 minutes! <br /> I was so very impressed with their teamwork, attentiveness to safety, and professionalism. <br /> This was an amazing experience and I would recommend them to anyone. <br />

Everyone with the company was very polite, professional and friendly.  Movers showed up on time and were very careful with the furniture. <br />

Two young clean cut men were courteous, prompt and efficient.  However they did not (as I had asked them and the owner) remove the legs on my heirloom solid cherry dining room table and instead turned it on it's end putting several hundred pounds of weight one one end.  I had previously explained to Felecia the owner, that previous movers (6 yrs prior) had mishandled and weakened one leg. I have yet to remove from storage so have not assessed for possible damage.  Prior to the move, Felecia Lunsford came to my home in order to provide a quote for a long distance move.  Said she would get the quote to me that week.  I have not heard from her since ( almost 1 month ago) and no one from their office has returned my 3+ phone calls requesting a call back. Apparently this has happened to other people as well.  How can I trust them to responsibly handle my long distance move? I will be looking elsewhere.  ts too bad, because they are otherwise professional and just downright nice people with a great niche for a green moving co. <br />
