Our experience with The Original Plumber and Brian Payne was excellent. Our main sewer link was leaking in the crawlspace and our 50-year old cast iron pipes were not draining properly. Brian and his assistant were prompt, courteous and kept us informed about what he was discovering and the best way to resolve the plumbing problems. They replaced all cast iron pipes that came out of the foundation and all of the problems were fixed! They also did a great job making sure all the carpet and flooring was protected and cleaned up when they were finished. Highly recommended!

I've asked for a detailed list for the work that was done, simply to request a rebate from ALG. I called the office to request it, but the lady said she needed to speak to someone first. They have yet to provide that. I get the feeling they are a shady company, and I don't trust them. There were parts of my AC system that just happened to break while they were here, which allowed for my duct to blow warm air into the crawlspace. They drilled a large hole in the brick on the side of my house for the vent, but did not seal the hole around the vent. I only hired this company based on the Angie's List rating and the need for an emergency repair. This experience makes me question the validity of their vetting process and the quality of their rates.

Very well. Jeremy was very nice and respectful. He didn't shy away at trying to obtain the hose part needed (that other companies have done) and helped me stay within my budget to get this done. I would ask for him personally if and when I need work done again.

It went great. I needed a taller toilet than standard. Sean had to contact several suppliers to find one and kept me in the loop and asked my approval for the one he found. He was very personable and professional for the install. I have found the plumbing company I will be calling when needed from now on!

Austin was the man on the job with his team. They came in and did their job. My leak problem was solved in a couple of hours. The guys were fast and efficient. The Original Plumber even matched a lower price for the job I was quoted by someone else.

We had not had our septic tank pumped since our hose was built 33 years ago. We weren't having any issues but figured maybe it was time. Judd arrived on time, found my tank and got to work. It's a good thing we called when we did, as soon as Judd removed the septic cover we discovered a huge mass of roots from a 30 year old Red Maple tree that was infiltrating the tank. He removed all the roots and cleaned out a large area around the tank removing more roots. He put in new piping and baffles along with a new easy access lid. It was more than 350.00 to do everything he did, but well worth the piece of mind that we are now up to code . Thank you!

Judd arrived earlier than I had expected in the time frame given and completed the pumping of the septic tank in a timely manner. He also gave me some information on what to look out for with a septic system.

I initially gave them a good review until the shower pipe behind the wall busted due to improper sealing and stabilizing of pipe once shower was used causing over $8,400 worth of damages. When James the plumber was informed of massive leak he was very argumentative, defensive and unprofessional about his company’s culpability. I ask him to leave the premises because he want to fight the other plumbing company person there. We couldn’t deescalate his aggressiveness. I will never use this vendor again and warn others before doing business with them.

"[Member Name Removed], It is unfortunate that the shower pipe had busted and caused massive damage. It is never our intention for misfortunes to happen to our valued customers. However, our work order provided to you clearly stated that we had worked on your bathroom sink, more specifically the supply line underneath the sink, inside the cabinet and the shut off that goes with it. Neither of these items had ruptured or even connect to the piping behind the shower. It is a professional diagnosis by a licensed plumber that the pipe behind the shower wall that caused the massive leak was not associated with the work performed and therefore, not liable to The Original Plumber. Upon our detailed invoice stating the specifics of the work is an included warranty that states we are not liable for pre-existing piping that are non-associated to the work performed. Pre-existing piping that may have complications unrelated to the work performed are not liable by the company due to the fact that we have no control over normal wear and tear and usage on the piping that are not accessible or worked on by our company. We regret that you feel so strongly towards our company and technician. However, we hope that after further analysis you will come to understand the work performed is complete separate scope of work from the faulty piping. Kind Regards, The Original Plumber."
