"Thank you [Member Names Removed], It was a pleasure working with you!"
"Thank you so much [Member Name Removed]! We are so happy that you choose us to complete your project. We are sorry about those delays with the manufacturers and we will continue to do all we can to make sure our customers get what they need."
"Thank you [Member Name] for the kind review, we appreciate it! We are VERY happy that you are pleased with your project and our services, we do aim to please. A big part of the reason we started The Paver company in 2010 was to be able to bring affordable quality paving stone work to our customers and we never get tired of hearing how much people love their new paving stone area! We also understand that unhappy customers are much more prone to complain, than happy ones are to compliment, so we thank you for taking the time! John Brightenstine Owner"
"Dear [member name removed], I’m happy to address some of your concerns for you and I am sorry to hear that you are not 100% satisfied with your project. Unfortunately though, this forum is the first I am hearing of it? We can be reached at (916) 222-8844 or info@thepavercompany.com. As with the elevation changes you mentioned that had to be redone to your satisfaction, we are happy to make changes to satisfy our customers. These items are most easily addressed and remedied while we are still on site and can make changes. After reviewing your file I see that the border was indeed changed from a runner (6” wide) to a soldier (9” wide) to help and prevent any more future root issues like the ones that destroyed your original concrete walkway that we were replacing. The 9” wide soldier border and subsequent 9” wide concrete bond beam footer beneath it is MUCH stronger than a 6” wide runner border with only a 6” wide concrete footer, which is why we always use the 9” version for driveways that have to hold up to the weight of vehicles. In your case, it was suggested by the crew building the project after excavating and exposing the massive root issues on site, that the BEST way to help guard against future root intrusion was to go with the stronger soldier border. Sometimes the crew knows better than the designer and function trumps form for best practices but rest assured the subtle “narrowness” is only visual and your walkway is still the full 4 foot width you paid for and in fact is much stronger now as well. I also see in the file where the change was made and signed for at the time by you. If now after the fact you aren’t happy with the change, you know we are very easy to reach and to work with. Just like how we made the elevation changes for you, we are happy and eager to satisfy. But as mentioned, this is the first I’ve heard about it and the project was finished on October 10th. 2013. I can’t fix it if not given an opportunity to do so. That said, please feel free to call us if you would like to change back to the runner border? Thank you, John."
