Frank Tedeschi and his men did an amazing job. The buffet had sustained substantial damage, both to the interior (drawer and frame crushed by an unsecured heavy shelf board) and the exterior (multiple scratches and dents, and two drawer faces that required replacing). Frank went to a great deal of trouble to match the wood that needed replacing, and the repaired and refinished piece looks as if it had never been damaged in the first place. We are more than delighted with the result! Frank and his crew had previously done a great job stripping and refinishing a large mid-century book/display shelf for us.

This was a very good experience. They where on time. It was done to the agreed upon price. The owner is Frank Tedeschi. We had a warped junk drawer. Rather then send for new drawer which would have cost us another 250 dollars, Frank repaired the drawer for a nominal fee. This was not part of the deal but he did it anyway. The quality of the work is outstanding. The cabinets look like new if not better. There was minimal inconvenience to us. They removed the cabinets doors and refinished them in their shop and then returned and them and re-installed them.

When Frank delivered my cabinet doors and drawers all I could say was "WOW". They came out amazing. My thirty year old cabinets look brand new! I keep getting raves from family and friends who have stopped by. Frank was easy to work with. Arrived on time for our first appointment, went over everything with me and answered my questions. He answered the phone whenever I called him, and responded to emails promptly. I never felt ignored or forgotten. I would definitely not hesitate to use The Refinishing Company again.

Great! The company really did outstanding work. I can't believe it's the same furniture I nearly threw out. It (truly) looks better now than when I initially bought it. Couldn't be happier that I went the refinishing route, and that I was able to hook up with this company to do the work.

The owner never sent us the protective coating like he promised. Now, the cabinets have stains from use, and the owner says he'll come out to the house to assess the problem, but that he will charge extra for the visit. The owner had said, and I quote: "I'm gonna give you this polish, if you don't use it, you'll be calling me to be fixing stains on your cabinets." <br /> <br /> The owner then told me he never said any such thing and threatened me that "I didn't want to make an enemy of him." I have not contacted him since, but I am very upset.

"I always appreciate the time taken to review my company and hope you take the time to read my other reviews as this does not reflect The Refinishing Company at all. I take pride in my work as it displays high quality and durability. I mix the best hardner with my product. This harder is added for every job from a chair to an entire kitchen. It defends my work and results in a long lasting/strong finish. I explained to [member name removed]’s husband that additional protective coating can be applied but is not necessary (hardner was applied in the initial application). This additional product can be purchased, but is never given away. I made this very clear to [member name removed]’s husband and never expected to make a second visit to their home. The protective coating the member is referring to works like waxing your car, it is not necessary but can be applied for extra/temporary shine and protection. There is no way their cabinets are showing stains the hardner prevents this type of wear."

The work took longer then expected since the company was in the process of moving to a new location. We had oak cabinets in our kitchen that were still in excellent condition and we wanted to keep them rather than replace them. The cabinets came out better than expected. The cost was reasonable and compared to replacing the cabinets completely were a big savings. <br />

Frank did a fantastic job on the table. Looks like new. Also did work on the legs which he did not charge for. The work was very good but it took more than twice the time promised to get back the table. I had to contact him several times. He was not very pleasant, but I understood he was stressed when he told me his wife had been in an accident. I would say that his work is excellent, but his customer relations not so much. I would recommend him ,however. <br />

Frank tried numerous times to get in touch with me, which I'm glad because we were away for a couple days. He inspected the chairs at the house and said they would have to be taken apart, and re-glued as they are were all held together with dowels. His price included pick-up and delivery of chairs from Maspeth. I did not inquire or price any other provider, and just went with him based upon all the good reviews on Angie's List. One week later, all chairs were complete and are solid as a rock. Frank is a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend his services. <br />

They did a superb job. The cabinets have a complete facelift! These are 30-40 year old cabinets, and now they look practically new. Once they started, they did a thorough job and saved me a great deal of money. The cabinets are beautiful!

Frank refinished and fixed a dresser which is approx 75 years old. When it was delivered I was shocked -- the dresser looks gorgeous -- looks like a brand new piece of furniture. The drawer now slide in and out easily. I am very pleased with the outcome. I am also having a chair reupholstered. Frank was a pleasure to work with. Thank you Frank! <br />
