Appointment was scheduled for a quote. A gentleman (Tim) arrived at the precise scheduled time. Prior to assessing the exterior of our home Tim took time to sit down with us to obtain an understanding of precisely what we wanted. After verbalizing our desires and expectations Tim took measurements and provided an estimate. Prior to signing a contract Tim voluntarily provided his suggestions with his clearly evident expertise. There was not any pressure. After interviewing several other companies there was not any doubt Thermal Shield was the choice due to the integrity that was exhibited during our initial visit. When Thermal Shield was then contacted to return to review the initial quote Tim returned and a start date was scheduled. While waiting for the start date Tim called just to follow up and make sure the date was still convenient. The Thermal Shield team arrived punctually each morning and each member had a specialty and hit the ground running. The guys were very professional and took a great deal of pride in their work. The job was completed in the time targeted; approx. five days. While the job was being completed Tim called each day and stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. Due to our home being older, built in 1927 we have dealt with our share of contractors, some not so good. I am sometimes apprehensive with the reviews wondering if they are truly customers. Let me tell you we struck gold with the Thermal Shield team! The final price was precisely as quoted. The code enforcer was by today to perform his final inspection and said "He has been doing inspections for many years and has never performed an inspection which consisted of such quality work" that is a quote. We cannot say enough about how satisfied and lucky we are we chose Thermal Shield. <br />

They were nice enough. I would have to take them down for ordering the wrong size.

The service was great, very courteous service. The worked quickly, and promtly came out for a few service issues, one of the windows cracked. They are about to get another service call however, because our garden window, and the locking mechanisms have a small amount of rust on them. The garden window has rust throughout the frame. No steaming that would indicate leakes in our gas windows, But you can see the rust. One of the windows is hard to open and close too. Probably would investigate fiber glass rather than vinal. Maybe worth the extra cost.

Very prompt. Very professional. <br />Only drawback, none of the inside blinds fit the windows when they were done. They were too large for window opening. Some paint chipped off walls when removing the metal window sills. To be expected. Nothing that couldnt be fixed easily.

I have noticed a difference already, there is a 2 1/2 degree difference on the ceiling since they put it in. They were very good in every aspect and have been in business for 30 years. I don't have any problems recommending them to others.

The sales person promised that he could order windows and have them installed in 4 weeks. We were putting our house up for sale and wanted the windows done ASAP. The did not get the windows for 8 weeks. The sub-contractor did not complete the job. He did not put up the trim on the interior or the exterior. I had to wait another week for the sales person to come out to inspect the house. The sales person rescheduled the person to come out to finish the trim. It took him an additional 10 hours to do the trim. They only caulked half of it, but at least it was somewhat finished. I would never hire this company again.

Four of six windows have had seal failures. Repair work has been shoddy.

My husband was not home when the salesman came over, and I appreciated the fact that he sat down and talked in depth with me, a woman, instead of assuming I could not make financial decisions alone. He presented some very interesting information about windows (e.g. the NFRC) allowing us to make an educated decision about our purchase. The installation guys were friendly and fast, did a great job and even were understanding when my toddler touched the wet caulk.

THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY AND VERY HARD WORKING. THEY KEPT EVERYTHING PRETTY CLEAN AND ARE VERY FAST AT THEIR WORK. I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE BECAUSE OF THEIR WORK.
