I purchased the replacement tiles and grout based on his recommendations. Andre was the only estimate that did not insist that I go far above and beyond the basics. He did mention that if he removed the tiles and the work was required it would need to be done, but it was almost as if the others were saying they needed to do much more than was required. When a question about changes to the estimate and scope of work came up, he consulted me, confirmed that he would insist on doing the job to code which required additional work and I agreed and accepted. Exactly what I expected. FAR less expensive than my other estimates. It looks great and matches perfectly with the existing shower tiles. Plus, I just flat out liked him. He is a very nice guy.

Very nice people to work with. Unfortunately, the grout joints and caulk joints were very sloppily finished.

Andre was punctual and professional. He installed a slate backsplash which looks marvelous. Since my house is a 1923 bungalow he had to accommodate the tilted walls which are not exactly at 90 degrees. He integrated the backsplash with the granite counter top giving the kitchen a professional, completed look. He cleaned up after his work and offered good suggestions about other work I'll need in the future. I would gladly hire him again.

Andre installed porcelain and glass tile as part of our master bath renovation. He was a good amount cheaper than the other quotes we received, and because of his positive reviews on Angieslist, it was a no-brainer. Andre honored a quote that was several months old and was able to come in to start the work within 2 days of accepting his proposal, which we appreciated a lot. He came in to due our floor first )so that we could move ahead with installing the vanity and ordering the counter) and came back the next week to finish the walls. We had some hiccups along the way with craftsmanship and the incorrect pattern being installed in some places, but Andre fixed all of the problems without question as soon as they were brought to his attention. I think the crafsmanship issues were a result of Andre doing the installation himself and being out of practice. He had mentioned that he had to lay off his guys due to lack of work and he was out of practice on installation since he hadn't been doing many lately. Overall, the project took a day longer than orginally anticipated, but it came out looking nice and Andre was easy to get along and to deal with.

Tile Doctor had the most comprehensive proposal--detail oriented.

Experience was great, Andre came by and provided a clear estimate of the work to be done and what materials I would need to provide. The price was less then I received from two other contractors who did not have the positive reviews like Andre. We scheduled the work for the following week, he and his helper showed up on time and did call about 20 mins prior to say they were on the way. They got right to work, put down drop cloths, moved the washer/dryer out of the way and started ripping up the old tile. About 5 hours later the tile was installed, area cleaned up, and everything put back in place?you couldn?t tell they where there. I had Andre quote on a few other jobs ( kitchen backsplash, front steps and bathroom) and will be setting up a time this spring for those to be completed

Mr. Tile was on time for his estimate. He explained everything and even suggested a cheaper and better way to go, which I appreciated. He told me where to find the best price on tile. He came back a week later to do the work in one day. It took him less time than expected and he actually reduced the cost!!! I would highly recommend him! His work is top notch!

He replaced the back splash and tile in my kitchen and over the counter and around the sink. I think he did a great job. He completed the job in 2 days due to the fact that he fixed our wall due to prior work that was not good. He was professional and honest from the time of estimate to the work that was done. He was very reasonable price wise too. He was just a decent person to work with.

The job was done quickly, and the crew tidied up after themselves and ensured that the apartment remained dust free. Andre went from store to store until he identified the right tiles (they were perfect) and the whole job was conducted in a very professional way. An excellent communicator, he listened to what we wanted instead to telling us how it should be. On the basis of this job, we want him to remodel our master bathroom in the coming months, and are confident he will do a quality job.

It went well. I was really impressed how everyday they cleaned up after themselves. There was never a mess left behind. They did the job quickly. They were courteous. The guys were very nice and polite. I liked the price.

Fantastic! Andre was referred to me by a family member of mine who has complained about every service person she has ever used. But when I mentioned to her that I wanted to remodel my kitchen and bathroom she said that I had to call The Tile Doctor. She said Andre Reed, aka The Tile Doctor, was the best contractor on the planet! So that caught my attention. I called him more out of curiosity than anything else. Andre came over the same day that I called him and he gave me a free estimate. Actually, he gave me several estimates since I was still in the planning stage and I had a few different ideas of what I wanted. It took me a couple of weeks to make up my mind on my finishes and Andre answered every question I had through my decision-making process. He was extremely patient even though I know I must have asked him a million questions. Andre and his guys showed up on the start day a few minutes before schedule and got straight to work. All of his guys were very respectful and each worked very hard! Each night, they would clean up after themselves which shocked me. The contractors I've dealt with in the past would leave everything (their tools and materials) all over the place. So it was nice to come home and not have the place in chaos. Needless to say Andre completed the job on-time. Everything looks fantastic! Did I mention that his final price was exactly the same as his estimate? Anyway, I love my home and I love The Tile Doctor! P.S. I am a former real estate broker and I've dealt with lots of contractors. I can honestly say my experience with The Tile Doctor was by far the least stressful, highest quality project I've ever had done. Andre's estimate was not the lowest of the 5 estimates I received (he wasn't the highest either). When I look at my bathroom and kitchen, I don't regret spending the extra money!
