The Weather Busters by Airflow
About us
The Weather Busters owes its origins to Palisade Refrigeration, started by Bob Fano in 1968 from the basement of his parents’ house. The business quickly grew to a storefront in Fort Lee and five employees. Within four years, the business expanded beyond refrigeration into heating and cooling, thanks to the acquisition of a metal shop. A few years later, Palisade Refrigeration moved to a commercial building in Rochelle Park. The company’s reputation for quality work developed and helped us thrive through economic recession. In 1977, we merged with another company to form Airflow Systems and moved to Paramus. Further expansion of residential home services helped us survive the economic challenges of the 1980s. Over the years, we’ve become a 25-employee operation. But through frigid winters and blazing-hot summers, our mission has remained the same: To help keep you and your loved ones in perfect comfort year round. And to help us achieve this mission, each one of us lives and works by the principle, “Good is never good enough.” It’s important to us to promote the benefits of energy efficient heating and cooling systems. That’s why we aligned ourselves with many major manufacturers of equipment for service replacement, and full installation. And that’s why we joined a national organization for the advancement of our trade in 2004, a demonstration of our dedication to the highest standard of installation and service work that our industry requires. "[member name removed] - The technician that was at your home corrected a leak that was coming from one of your radiators and also turned another radiator on that was not working for you. Unfortunately you failed to mention that in your review. When testing the boiler with a digital carbon monoxide detector, he found the unit leaking 150 parts per million of carbon monoxide. These are dangerous levels so he turned the boiler off for your safety and his and recommended replacement. Carbon monoxide is very dangerous and there is no acceptable level of carbon monoxide according to the national gas association. I would encourage you to make sure the company you hired actually tested your boiler with a digital detector to make sure it has a 0 reading and is safe to operate. Carbon monoxide detectors that you use in your home are not appropriate for professional testing and will not detect low levels of carbon monoxide."
