This is a follow-up to my previous review. On May 20 Mr. Warren texted me pictures of the repair I requested on May 1. Please see my previous review.

After the work was supposed to be completed I had to get the owner to go under the house wih me to show him several places that were not sealed correctly. I insisted the work be completed before I paid the balance due. I am confident that if I had not made it clear that I was going to keep inspecting their work under my house and withhold the balance due after the initial deposit that there still would be several unsecured areas. The contract includes a 5 year gone-for-good warranty. Just one year later in April 2017, the company that does termite inspections for me let me know that rodents have chewed through a section of the foam and screening installed by Wildlife Guys. I emailed Dax Warren on May 1 with a copy of my contract invoice and asked him to take care of the problem. I received no response. I called the business and left a number. They did not return my call. I called again several more times until I finally got Mr. Warren. He told me he would go to the house on May 8. I called on May 8 and left a message asking him to text or email before and after pictures of the repair. I received no response. On May 9 I called again. Mr. Warren promised he would handle the situation that day or the next day. He never showed up and never called. On May 15 I sent Mr. Warren pictures of the problem area and asked for a status update. I have received no response. I got several estimates before signing a contract with Wildlife Guys. I chose them even though their quote was a little higher than some other (then) well-reviewed businesses because Wildlife Guys offered a 5 year warrenty. I'm sorry I chose them since they had to be prompted to complete the job and are not standing up to the warrenty.

Initially, Dax gave me an estimate for the work to be done and I agreed to the price. He did put a barrier all around the foundation of the house to prevent any animals from gaining access . He was to have removed all the insulation in the attic that had been soiled by the raccoons. Upon later investigation, it appeared that this had not been done. He was also to have sealed all vents to the attic and this apparently was not done because the raccoons are back! After numerous calls and threats of legal action, I still have not heard back from Dax. So much for a five year warranty on his work. He was paid $4200 dollars for work that was never completed! I am sickened by this waste of money! I have never received this poor level of service from any provider I have ever hired! It would appear from past reviews that his level of service has gone down drastically over the last several years!

After calling him 22 times, we had only one response 'that he would get back us'. Never heard from him again and he did not complete any work after 11/2014.

Initially, they seemed responsive and on top of things. But then there were delays and poor communication. Eventually all communication stopped. I sent emails and called - they would respond to some of those individual requests for information but it was always me chasing them. They would say they would come by on one day and then I would see no evidence of any work being done. I had no updates. I would not know if any animals had been detected or trapped unless I called and asked. They have had traps up for weeks and I don't know that anyone checks them. No bait. I have no idea if I still have animals in the walls or not. I don't know if THEY know! I don't know how you can run a business of this kind and keep your customer completely in the dark about your work and progress. This has been the most egregious waste of money since I've been a homeowner.

The Wildlife Guys turned out great. What stood out was their service, I guess, they were very service-oriented and they kind of went beyond, you know, what a normal person would do and their rate was very competitive too.

Imagine this: Single lady living by herself. 4:30am she hears a ruckus in the bathroom. She goes in to find that her beloved feline friend has brought her a present. A baby possum. And there it was clinging to the shower curtain, occasionally hissing. She grabs cat, backs away slowly, and closes the door. Yup. True story. I called The Wildlife Guys first thing the next day, left a message, and was called back in a very reasonable amount on time. They were currently on a job but said they'd come right away after finishing. True to their word, he arrived as promised and gently removed my new house guest. I would call this company without hesitation any time, and they have my full recommendation!

While working under the house yesterday to look for a dead rodent, I came across what appeared to me to look like a human eating anaconda rat snake. I called The Wildlife Guys and every number on Angie's list. Dex heard the fear in my voice and as luck would have it, had someone finishing up a job at that time. Within the hour they were here to save my day! Poor Austin was under the house for what must have been two hours and couldn't find the man eating snake. He removed a dead rat and found a problem area in the duct work WAY in the front of the house. He did not have the odor spray in his truck because he came out emergently and that was more important to me at the time. While I was devastated my beast wasn't caught, I lost faith in humanity and after paying for services, I knew there was no way that they would come back to spray. It's so hard to find honest people any more.
At 0830 this morning Dex called and said he wanted to come back out and spray and look for my beast one more time. I was truly touched. He came out and I told him we still had a smell coming through. Him and Austin went back under the house and found another dead rodent in the duct work! They sprayed and even fixed the very small patch in the duct work. My beast has disappeared. I feel certain he'll only come back if the rodents do and I think The Wildlife Guys fixed that problem. I can't tell you how much honesty and integrity mean to me as a homeowner and consumer. It saddens me that it is something that is so rare to come by these days. I feel confident enough about these guys to give my highest ratings to them. I can honestly say that I trust Dex at his word and with any job he could be faced with. It was my pleasure doing business with him and we wish him the best of luck in his business!

Mr. Warren began work at my home in early January. It's nearly July and the problem has not been solved. Yes, I am a fool for working with him for so long, but frankly, I've been burned by so many nuisance wildlife removal folks (at this home and others) that I didn't know who else to call. And I didn't want to start over yet again.

If you have a small, quick job, you will think the world of Mr. Warren. He's polite and timely (at first) and seems very knowledgeable about his trade. But if you have a job that turns out to be difficult, you will be hard pressed to get anywhere with this guy.

As I work and it is not easy for me to get back to meet someone to check traps every day or so, we agreed to a schedule. Mr. Warren was to either email me what was in the traps and what was done or leave me a note on the door. The first couple visits were great. Then one day, I got no note and no email and it was h*** or high water to get him on the phone. Almost a week later and I finally get him and he was really sick. Of course, I was understanding. He promised to be back on schedule the following week.

Long story short, it's been a round robin of him saying he will be coming on certain days, he comes once and then the next time I get no note, no email, no call. Then I can't get him on the phone. I finally had my husband call him from his cell stating he had a rodent problem he needed help with - Mr. Warren didn't know it was my husband and thought it was a new customer. He called back within the hour. Since then, it's been this same scenario, over and over. He says he's coming and maybe he does a time or two and then he doesn't. What rat is going to go into a trap that isn't kept fresh?

I must be a fool for continuing to call this guy, but every time I finally got ahold of him, he was so nice and polite that I thought maybe this would finally be the time he'd make good on the situation and deal with this once and for all. But I also noticed that even after days of not coming, he could never come today...it was always tomorrow or the next day or after he finishes this other job. I couldn't figure out how my job was never a priority. I was always after some other job.

Several weeks ago, after a come to Jesus email, Mr. Warren said he's lost more time and money coming out to check these traps and that he really needed to just go ahead and do a full seal up of the house and that in 7-10 days our problem would be solved. He said it would be cheaper for him to just do the seal up than to continue on this way. So, they come out, they seal it up and came back to check the traps once (they caught one more). After that, he didn't come back. We thought it was finally solved, but in a few days low and behold they worked their way back in. When I finally get him on the phone, he admits that he didn't think the rear exclusion work (the large portion of the rear of the home is open to the crawlspace and a contractor had put wire mesh in place in hopes of excluding the rodents) done by our contractor was proper, but that he'd hoped it was enough. Since they'd gotten back in, he said that would all need to be redone the right way. He said he was coming by to do that and that it would take an afternoon. I thought he came - now after another company looked at it today and showed me how improper it was, I'm not sure if he ever re-did it or not.

After I thought he had come out to re-do the rear exclusion, I was certain that I was still hearing activity and I tried calling Mr. Warren to discuss. I've been calling him now for 3 weeks and he won't return my calls. This weekend, I can hear the rats just running around in the ceiling - there is no doubt they've returned. And, there is no way this guy hasn't gotten my calls.

If the job is beyond your ability or you've decided that you just don't want to do it any more, have the common decency to call me and quit - do not just fail to call me back. That is completely unprofessional. As I said, I'm the fool that dealt with his not showing up when he was supposed to and not returning my calls b/c I was so desperate to not have to call yet another company. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this guy. If your job turns out to be easy, you would most certainly think this guy is the bees knees. But if your job turns out to be much more than a couple visits, you will be sorry. He will not show up, he will not return your calls - and then when he finally does, he'll be so nice, you'll think you're the crazy one, but trust me. He's just going to check out on you.

Started off well. They emailed me a proposal. We discussed price, services to be performed and a payment plan. With all the stuff going on with making electronic payments,I had concerns, and we were able to work out a mutually afreaable secure method.Made a downpayment, and work began. At first, the owner came with several assistants. They put out traps and started sealing up points of entry/ intrusion. Then they madea schedule for return visits.Mom is 83 and does not get out nuch, depending on a helper from the community in order to get to the store, Dr.appointments and church. As such, she is somewhat subject to the availability of the helper. On a few occasions, she needed to leave the house to do her weekly grocery sgoppingaton a day on which there was to be a visit. She called the owner, got his voicemail and left a message.Sometimes she got a call back, sometimes not.Often she would return home to find that someone had stopped by while she was out .All told one rat was trapped and removed.Last week, she was at home consistently and no one showed. She found tgat a rat or rats had been trapped where she was unable to reach, and was getting nauseous from the odor.I called and left several messages, getting no response, funally sendung an email on 5/7.In the meantime, a concerned neighbor sent out a local exterminator to address the situatiin, and I received a call from him.

Dax Warren and two of his crew made several trips to my house in an effort to safely remove the mother raccoon and her babies in a Have A Heart trap. Eventually, she was able to take one baby and escape from the house, leaving the second baby behind. When the crew returned the following morning they found the dead baby, and removed it and the equipment with regret. We were all very disappointed, but hope that the mother and baby are in a safe place, particularly since all possible entryways have been closed.

The Wildlife Guys impressed me with their professionalism and dedication from the beginning. They made every effort to capture the raccoons so that Dax could take them to a safe place on his land on Johns Island, and I learned so much from him about dealing with wild animals and their characteristics. I recommend them highly, and would not hesitate to contact them in the future.

I was selling my rental property (house) and the buyer's inspection came back that i had vermin in the attic. This is something that needed to be fixed obviously ASAP, or else i would lose the deal on the house. I got the number for Wildlife guys from a friend, and Dax was there within a couple of hours. I called around to a couple of other companies in the meantime, and based on the work they needed to do (quite a bit to repair some damage up there), the Wildlife Guys had the most competitive price. Dax was also a pleasure to work with, very punctual, did a fantastic job and really saved the day on my house sale. I definitely would, and already have, recommend this company to others!
