Thrasher Foundation Repair - Wichita

I had a full drainage system put in wall supports first time around I hadwater in my basement so they came a second time and they said they fixed the problem. These pictures are from their second time being fixed so now they?ll be becoming a third time to fix them again with another mess that I have to clean.

The crew was very professional and finished the job in a few hours.

Warranty work. Noticed sealant coming loose in a couple of spots. It was very minor, but they noticed that drive had settled slightly and redevelop it. I had not noticed that. It was much appreciated. On time, friendly and polite. Very satisfied.

It went great, the service technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. Answering all questions asked. I was very satisfied.

They were proficient and finished the work in a timely manner.

Randy and his crew did an outstanding job. As with any construction project, snags are expected. We ran into a significant snag with state of my foundation. Randy stopped the project until he could discuss the situation. He offered a plan that allowed us to move forward. Plan B worked great and the job was completed. Hats off to Randy and his crew

Tyler was very professional and polite. He kept us informed on the operation and when they would return, which was very much appreciated. Tyler and his crew worked during 10° weather, all the time dedicated to getting the job done. Also they brought out a large piece of an old blanket type insulation from the crawl space and it froze to the ground and I told them just to leave it that we would take care of it. But when they left they had removed that piece. Tyler and his crew were remarkable!!!

Crew was well organized; a coordinated effort. Project was completed in less time than anticipated, while maintaining quality. Very good on clean up, as well.

You've heard the phrase "Slam Bam Thank You Mame" ? I felt they scammed me out of over $20K. Their work was not only sub-standard, as I have subsequently learned, but overpriced and ineffective for the problems within my home. They admitted their work caused subsequent problems in my garage area and sent a crew out to insert a foam in the flooring there and caulk cracks. However work they did in the basement was not only ineffective but they blamed soil conditions and my limestone rock foundation....now saying they can't do anything about this type foundation. They installed 4 jacks in the basement...did not secure them to a secured beam, did not ground them in cement or even crushed rock--but used unopened bags of river rock---like used in landscaping!!! Since May, one of their jacks has completely come loose and just jiggled when grabbed. Before contracting with Thrasher, I received another inspection and estimate from LaMunyon Co out of Clay Center KS. They HONESTLY told me they could do part of the work needed but listed other type contractors I'd need for the additional work. Thrasher's slick salesman initially tried to sell me on a $40+K project, which I immediately said I could not afford (I basically live off Social Security and am a widow) He then modified and brought it down to 30K+...still no can do. He then gave the bid I accepted and when I asked--more than once--"will this take care of these problems?" He assured me then proceeded with pressure telling me that if I signed the contract right then I'd get a 15 % discount. That was last Spring and their crew came and did the work on May 18th, took them 2 days. In August, my floor were worse and I had multiple cracks now in my walls. Door were not latching and locking and one garage door was not working properly. so I contacted Thrasher's Customer Service. "Oh so sorry", "we'll get a manager right on this" blah blah. Finally Sept 23rd some one came for a look-see. Left saying he'd discuss with a manager and get back to me. Oct 1st, the initial salesman calls me derating me for not taking one of his more expensive bids, and his attitude was "you get what you pay for" Oct 8th that guy's manager calls me, discusses the situation. Oct 24th he calls back and makes an appointment to come see for himself on Nov. 2nd. He was a no show Another manager contacts me after I called the company and "let them have it" and showed up on Nov 3rd saying the other guy was ill. That's when the repairs to my garage floor got scheduled, him telling me this was costing them about $5000, but again nothing could be done about my limestone foundation however they could put in more jacks and estimated an additional cost of $28K Nov 19th the foam was inserted in the garage floor. Needless to say....I have contacted an attorney regarding this situation. Via Angie's List, I located a couple other foundation contractors...one, like LaMunyon was HONEST and said the work was too extensive for what they did. The other is Leading Edge Enterprises...who promptly answered my inquiring, sent a knowledgeable contractor here to inspect, then estimate with no pressure or gimmicks....work is proceeding very well at this time....I'll let you know the results when complete.....

Overall went smoothly. They were able to get me on the schedule and work done quickly after I finally selected a company. I had 4 bids on the work. KS Basement was the 2nd lowest. I went with them because of a longer warranty and included a sump pump replacement.

Very smoothly and timely. We had the estimate done during negotiations on the contract of the house we bought. The job was done after the sale. The crew was on time (early in fact) courteous, professional, and personable. The job actually took less time than expected to complete.

Workers were very friendly and very informative. They worked fast, did a good job and cleaned up the mess very well.

On time, very efficient, cleaned up the work area and explained the details clearly.

Salesman was well learned on the subject. Crew was communicative, on time, experienced, skill and respectful. When the job was completed, one could hardly tell they had been there.

Even if the weather didn't cooperate for the outside work, they still came and did what they could, and were very willing to do it in order to get the job done.
