Tice Lawn Maintenance

They were very good.

The job was to level and seed the front lawn. Mother Nature can sometimes be a bit*h. The original topsoil has some interesting seeds in it. As promised, TICE came back in late August, killed everything on the front lawn, seeded and fertilized it and just came back to give it a feeding. It looks TERRIFIC. BETTER than I could have hoped. These people are pros.. Leave 'em alone and let them do THEIR job. Don't try to second guess them. You'll like the results.

They were great! They came out the same day and started the much needed services.

The crew doing the work apparently got no direction from the owner with whom I discussed the job. They ignored my concern about shrub placement near a steam vent; did not "pin" the sod on a hill so it slid with the first rain and is still not in place, covered over ground cover plants with mulch, did not remove brick as planned, and on top of it all, the sod died. So $1700 later, I have a dying scrub and a dead lawn. Owner does not return calls. DO NOT HIRE!!!

Tice Lawn Care uses top grade materials versus some of their more familiar nationwide chains. They also apply the actual recommended amounts resulting in quicker more visible results.

The crew did a good and thorough cleanup. It is a large yard with LOTS of leaves! We were pleased.

Tice Lawn Maintenance is very professional. They come when they say they will, they do an excellent job, and they call back immediately when I contact them. Very satisfied.

It went very well. Dave provided a quote right away. They sprayed first for some insects and then had his team come at the identified time. The job took a little longer due to weather, but the team was there when the weather was good and they did a great job. The additional items that I asked about were also completed and done at no additional charge. That was a really nice and unexpected surprise. Overall they did a fantastic job and I would definitely hire Dave and team again. In fact, they are my new lawn service, so that tells you something!

I have them come every year to do my lawn maintenance and fertilization. They are very professional, punctual and they do a great job while making sure you are satisfied.  For example, I had to have them come back last year because things were not done to my liking and they returned the next day to make sure everything was trimmed exactly the way I wanted it.

It takes about five different applications before they are finished. They have one more application to do but  i am not satisfies with them. My problem was they didn't take a soil test. I took my own soil test and it showed it was very weak. I took it to the state of Connecticut soil testing company and then they found that it lacked in a lot of things. I was doing a better job myself than they were doing. I don't believe in lawn company's coming to do your lawn if they don't do a soil test. It's like doing your lawn with a blindfold on because if you don't know what it lacks or what it needs then that's a stupid thing to be doing on stuff. The quality of the work was fine. My lawn was not good. They were very good in responsiveness.

Work was done professionally and as promised.
