We contacted Angi’s list because we thought you screened and vetted the service providers you send out. We had a tree crush our deck during Hurricane Helene. The only one of the four contractors you sent us that responded to our outreach was Tide Remodeling. They gave us a couple of quotes, all via email, and we agreed to on plan. He requested $5000 deposit and was to begin as soon as he could get an associate out to draw a formal sketch so that we could get permits from the county. He assured us he was licensed, bonded and insured. He is none of those things, which he has now admitted to us. He has told us he can not start the work until his license is reinstated, which he hopes is soon. We have researched him further online and discovered that he in fact has no license to do the work, which is why he was trying to get someone else to get the permits. He has a $500 fine that resulted from a complaint from a prior customer that he did not resolve, this lead to the suspension of his license. We have requested that he refund the $5000. He asked that we wait awhile until he can get a license, but he did not know how long that would take. We declined to do that. All of this can be documented via emails between us, including a receipt for the $5000 deposit and my bank records.

Robert and his crew were awesome. They were very accomidating, listened to my concerns, answered questions, and came back to touch up a spot on my bathroom that soaked up some paint (without cost). I am hiring them again to do my bedroom, upstairs bathroom, living room/kitchen/dinning room. They have earned my business

This was NOT a satisfactory exp. Would not hire again. Hired for handy work thru Angi: Install lighting fixtures, faucets, leak in toilet assembly (though was flushing), installing outdoor solar lites, rescreening patio, seal leak in patio roof, garage repair etc. Day one no show. Day 2, staff arrived without supplies or incorrect supplies & spent 1/2 day at Home Depot. Not completed per our contract: garage was rendered 100% inoperable by an attempt to repair a smaller problem (he caused bolts dislodged from main track from testing & left unrepaired). Porch leak not repaired left with a bigger leak. 2 blown electrical outlets. Faucet installed with hot & cold reversed. fans & lites not wired properly leaving dead outlets/switches. Toilet unflushable strong enough. Screws, bolts, wires, stuck in rugs & floor. After firing them & attempting to resolve $ off with the owner on my own b/c I had to hire replacement contractor(s) After my initial phone call to list all the problems hours after he left he agreed to refund some of my payment. Thereafter Robert was unresponsive so had to file a formal complaint with Angi. Ultimately owner did refund 1/3 of the it cost me to fix work/damage. (I supplied emails, texts etc to prove the unresolved work to Angi) CHECK ALL reviews on Google, Nextdoor, BBB etc as there are other local dissatified customers despite the favorable reviews on Angi 3 star because his STAFF was on time, respectful and did the best with other repairs. I did tip the staff generously but before I was able to assess the damage costs with other contractors. I paid other contractors for full repair satisfaction.

Once he finally got around to doing the job the services provided were good. Should do a better job with communicating with the customer

Well with the email I sent explaining how everything went you can see for your self. Sorry for the way I worded this but trying not to rehash it all.

Issue rectified. I retract previous rating.

We paid the $650 on July 18 2024 for inside job and we paid $900 deposit for making the 18 feet length x 11 feet width concrete patio on Aug 11, 2024 . After they did 30% of the job , they keep push our job behind because they said the weather reason and they have the covid , after one or 2 week , they have the wasp string even they agreed with us they will complete certain date . After we checked back , they said they will complete on Tuesday , after Tuesday , they said he will definitely finish on Wednesday . Thursday . It keep pushing behind untill I wrote this complaint with Angi today . So it is more than 2 months , these job has not been completed. This is the real story with all of he text communication as proof .

It went very well! I appreciate the thoroughness of their work and the care that was taken to complete the job for the best outcome possible. They did an excellent job. Very professional; easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

I hired this company to install a new fence. I was impressed by the professional timely manner they finished the job, they even cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company for all your Remodeling needs.

Robert and his team were great. They were very professional and very reasonable on price. They kept Me informed of the progress and any issues that came up. Fixing the water damage which ended up being partially structural, drywall repair, and painting was spot on. Highly recommend.
