Lacked ability to design a quality product. Was unable to provide professional quality documents. Communication was a huge issue. Constantly added things, changed rooms around,, etc.

"Bruce is very controlling and when I made a change for his wife that he did not approve he let me go. I added a toilet to the mud room just inside the garage, which would be easier then going through the master bedroom to use the bathroom or the opposite end of the house. This is the change I added to the blueprints. I feel this was a great idea along with a selling point for the future. I have designed over 20 complete custom homes and several hundred additions with no problems. All of my designs have been engineered and permitted. My fee is $6500. Includes engineering. My blueprints are guaranteed to pass permitting Thank you. Scott Taise"

Scott was very agreeable during the designing phase, but later we had issues. He did not plan for plumbing and did not build per the plans. Scott did not start the project until 4 months after start date, he did not supervise subs and there were structural issues. He has lost his license for the second time in 12 months and had to stop work and has not yet refunded the money he owes us. He collected large amounts of money without doing the work, but then ran out of money without doing even half of the work we paid him for. He bidder low, but then use change orders to up the funding and insist on more cash. He could not find workers so the project sat for long stretches of time. Our city inspector says he hasn't seen this low quality of work, ever.

"The job was bid a year before the project started. With the economy I hired a framing crew. They did the framing. I let them go, because the job was rushed and not finished. The extra money went into a complete new roof, new trusses, plywood and membrane roof. Because of the 2:12 pitch. The change orders are part of the business. When the customer wants extras there is a charge for it."

Scott was very nice and easy to work with. There seemed to be some communications errors throughout the project but he was willing to fix them. After a few attempts at fixing the issues I realized it was as good as it was going to get and they didn't notice the details that I did. Things like (seeing drywall tape seems and joints, or being able to open installed French doors). Scott was a very nice person and I don't have any ill feelings towards him and his crew but it just seems like they lack the attention to detail and finishes.

Scott was thorough and careful in all of the work he did. He was courteous, kept us informed daily on the job status, what needed to be completed each day, when he would return for the next task. He cleaned up every day before he left. His workmanship is superior, fully guaranteed, and we are fully satisfied with the finished project. We will definitely use him again for any future projects.

Scott contacted me immediatly after I submitted my request. He is very professioal and made suggestions as we discussed the project. His finished plans and structural analysys were excellent.
