I am not one who usually writes letters of recommendation. I believe that if you pay to have something done well ... then it should be done well. But this is an exception and it needs to be recognized. I actually first came into contact with Time to Roof by using Time to Paint to paint my house. That experience was so positive that when it came time to fix my damaged roof... there really was no other choice in my mind. These days, it's hard to even get a subcontractor to show up on time, let alone care about your property. In short, al Parada and "his guys" (as he refers to them) repaired, cared and cleaned up around my house as if they owned it themselves. When Al says he guys will show up at a certain time... they do. When Al says he's going to do something, he does it. More importantly, Time to Roof did many things above and beyond the call to improve my roof. They improved upon the flashing, replaced any rotten wood, replaced or repaired vents, adjusted gutters... the works. In the valleys of my roof they lined all of it with HydroStop... a material that basically eliminates the chance of leakage in the valleys. They made sure the roof vented itself better than the contractors who built my house did.  Each night, the guys swept for nails, fluffed up my pine straw and blew away leaves and debris better than my yard guy does.  It's the attention to detail that impresses. During the recent storms a lot of people have had their roofs repaired around here and i have watched the jobs they have been doing. Each and every time it reinforces my the decision I made to use Time to Roof. Since, I have recommended Al to my brother and my girlfriend.. . both of whom used his services. Ask either of them if they are happy and they will go on and on about it. In the time I have lived on Lake Wylie I have used dozens of subcontractors... and only three, maybe four, stand out. Al's two companies are at the top of that list. And the attention to detail is company wide. My experience with Time to Paint was just as rewarding. I like to think that I have a nice house... but fact is... my house looks nice because of Al. <br /> <br /> Use him. I absolutely promise that you will not only not be disappointed... you will be impressed beyond what these words express. I could go on and on... and will..... just ask. <br />

The project went very smoothly. In working with Al Pareda to first replace the roof, the painting process began as soon as the roof was completed which made the entire process easy to handle as a homeowner. I was very impressed with the level of skill and care taken on every detail of the painting. Al and his crew were very professional and wanted the finished product to be perfect. They didn't miss a thing. When I would mention an area that I felt needed further attention, it was already on their list. They were always one step ahead of me in what needed to be done. The front porch was the last to be painted. A week later when the paint started peeling, I called Al and his crew came that very day, scraped the paint of, re-sanded the surface and determined that an alternative paint product needed to be used. They completed the porch that day and we have had no further problems. I would highly recommend this company for exterior painting.

It was a pleasure to work with Al Pareda and his crew. The estimate was provided in a timely manner and Al answered all of our questions upfront. Not knowing what we would be faced with in terms of wood repair once the old roof was removed, Al was able to provide us a quote where we would not be charged additional fees if more plywood required replacement. He and his crew spent a couple hours on and around the house and property (including an inspection of the attic) to understand the scope of the job before providing the estimate. This made me more comfortable knowing they had seen the work required. Once work began the crew was professional and on time, even working through rain to finish as scheduled. There was no disruption to my family. Al frequented the site each day to check in and survey progress.

They worked from starting in the morning hours way into the evening hours for approximately 10 days completing all tasks with perfection.

Initially, our roof had been hit by a tree and I had called three contractors to review the damage and make estimates. At that point, I found out that our roof had sustained hail damage from a "catastrophic" hail event that had occurred on 3/28/10. Al was punctual in coming to do our estimate and offered to meet with the claims adjustor from my insurance company. He was punctual at that meeting also. His estimate was a fair price as the other estimates were substantially higher but his estimate was more in line with the value placed on the roof by my insurance company's claims adjustor. I researched the product (GAF) that Time To Roof uses and was satisfied that it was a superior product. Our old roof was 15-25 years old and was the basic 3 tab shingle construction used at that time. We had no ridge vent and we had a plastic, scratched, and pitted skylight in our master bath. Al's original estimate included upgrading to architectural shingles and a ridge vent. Additionally, we upgraded further to High Definition GAF shingles and replaced the skylight with a glass, low-E skylight. This is all reflected in the price paid above. We had the old roof removed. Installation of the new roof went almost flawlessly except that the truck delivering all the roofing materials from the material distribution center was several hours late. This was understandable based on the volume of roofing replacements going on in the area. Al's roofers worked until the sun went down that day in order to get back on schedule. The installation crew was personable and also, innovative. My old skylight is no longer being made and all new ones are a different size. The roofing crew constructed a new frame for the new skylight and it seems to be working well and is pleasing to look at from the ground. Once installation was done, they cleaned up so well, it would seem as if they were never here. Al. within his quote, also had the finished installation inspected by the Regional GAF Representative to confirm that the installation was done in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications for warrantee purposes. Once this was done, I received a warrantee from GAF. It is a lifetime warrantee. According to GAF, it is also an upgraded lifetime warrantee, again all inclusive in Al's quote. I am always wary of home improvement companies of any type and have had good reason to be a couple of times over the years, but Al Parada struck me as a contractor that is fair and honest in his business dealings and very proud of the quality of work that his staff performs.  

Time to Roof and Time to Paint is an awsome company! I knew i needed a new roof, and I considered repainting the outside of the house myself.   Glad I listened to Al, and let the pros do their work.   No way could I have accomplished the task.     Al and his team provided exceptional service and performance...   The first part of the job was to replace our roof.  They were in and out in just a few days.  They also installed a couple of attic fans on my roof that are already improving the air flow throughout the second floor of my house.  His team was friendly and profesional, and they went out of their way to be sure the all aspects of the job were done to our satisfaction.  When they left, other than a great new roof, the area surrounding the house was still in A1 shape.  Before beginning the wood repair and painting, they first power washed the entire house. However, they went a step beyond by  also power washing our driveway and brick wall that is adjacent to the driveway.  They did not charge for this, but just handled it.   I have had many contractors on my property over the years, and have mostly found things that were left on done, or just not done with a sense of pride..     That was not the case with this company.  They went out of their way to take care of even the slightest detail. My garage door is old, and I thought I would need to replace it. The joints were coming apart, and looked awful.  These guys sealed and repaired the joints, and it looks like a brand new door.  Throughout the paint process they were neat, efficient, and again as professional as they could be. Several of my neighbors have seen their work, and are now engaging TIME TO ROOF TIME TO PAINT as well. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a great product, and good experience. Very professional interaction from initial phone call to end of project. Came to do an estimate and measured up on the roof. The dumpster was delivered and roofing was quick and efficient. I was very pleased with the workers and the clean-up job.

Great personal attention. Very thorough assessment and communication about what the steps would be. Completed work very quickly and professionally. I did not like the color after 2 coats and they changed it without changing the orginal quaoted price. This decision was made over the phone by the owner who was out of town and no questions were asked. No payment was required until the job was completed to my satisfaction. Cleaned up area completely and left things nice and neat.
