This is a family owned business. My father started this business, when he was a young man. I joined him and started to work with him when I was a teenager. He taught me everything I know about home improvements. I received my license and opened my own home improvement company 1985. I have been in this business now for over 30 years. They were fine. They left some pieces of insulation in our front yard, which it was winter time so they're still out there; little pieces, not big, big amounts. But they were kind of messy. I think they did a good job. As for responsiveness, they came right away. They fit it into their schedule and we work, so a lot of times we're not here. Somebody was here that day but I don't think that was in issue. I wasn't there that day.

We were provided an estimate within a few days of our initial meeting, and once accepted, a contract followed within a week. Tim and his crew arrived on the first day, re-acquainted themselves with the project, developed a plan and left to purchase the necessary materials. Once they returned, they continued to work every day until the job was completed. Along the way, we made some minor changes and they made some recommendations. Overall, we found their workmanship to be exceptional. My handyman husband (who is a perfectionist to a fault) was very pleased with the crew and the end result. We would highly recommend Tim Howard.

Mr. Timothy showed up with his team and got right to work. His is a family business, his father taught him, and you get that old-fashioned small private business treatment complete with affordable price. Special mention goes out to Steve who paid great attention to detail, getting everything just right, was extremely knowledgeable and generous in sharing what he knew (gave me step-by-step instructions on how to stain and paint the railings, a project I’m determined to do myself). We are so thrilled with both stairway and basement drywall and can't stop admiring them. Thank you so much, Mr. Timothy and crew! With confidence I highly recommend you and your team for all home repair and improvement!

Very professional. Had the room framed, drywalled, floor tiled...electrical and plumbing. They made sure carpet and hardwood floors were protected while working. Worked non stop. Job finished in four days. Communicated well...Instilled confidence. Lowest bid on the job!

Timothys crew arrived early in the morning to add a small addition on our deck. When my husband arrived home he noticed the deck was not the height we asked for. We contacted Timothy and the crew was out the next morning to tear down the addition and build it to the height we needed. We have used Timothys for three project on our house, a roof on the garage, a new patio on the side of our house and the addition on the deck. Each time we are very happy with the work and will continue to call him for future projects

First, the painters moved all of the furniture my wife and I couldn't move, removed the venetian blinds, and covered the carpets, kitchen cabinets, and counter tops with canvas or plastic sheeting. <br /> The painters then spackled, sanded, and caulked all of the nick, cracks, nail pops, and dings in the walls and ceiling. They also caulked all cracks between the baseboards and the walls, and between the crown molding, walls and ceiling. The ceiling was then painted with two coats of ceiling white, the walls with two coats of satin wall paint, and the trim with two coats of semi gloss white. The painters were prompt, pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Each day before the left, the painters cleaned the areas that they were painting so my wife and I could use the kitchen and family rooms. The finished work was beautiful. <br /> My wife and I have used Timothy's Home Improvements in the past and I am sure we will use them again. We are very pleased with their work. I highly recommend Timothy's Home Improvements, to anyone who needs a quality and trustworthy contractor. <br />

Timothy was fantastic!!!!! After heavy winds, the fascia became detached on one end and was swinging down against the house. Timothy came out the next day and provided an estimate which was MUCH less than another contractor I had come out. He said it would be a couple days to order the material and that he could do it as soon as the materials came in, about 4 days later. I should clarify, that my house is two story and sits on a hill so the job wasn't a quick fix - he charged $275 for the piece of fascia that was detached and said that he would try to match the color but it would obviously be brighter white than the other piece of fascia. He charged $475 to do both pieces so they match. He was great and I will use him going forward for everything. <br />

<strong>Overview of Issue/Repair:</strong> <br /> 3 Level Townhome (finished basement): <br /> Sliding door off kitchen on second floor was incorrectly flashed. Due to this, the door needed to be removed, repaired/re-flashed, and reinstalled. A section of "sinking" kitchen subfloor around this sliding door was also replaced <em>*Note: at this point we could have purchased a replacement door and had this installed at no additional cost; due to our budget, we decided to re-use the current slider*</em> . Additionally, a majority of the plywood and window framing below, in the basement, was rotted out. Siding was removed and replaced after all the rot was repaired with fresh plywood and framing. We did take this opportunity to replace the 2 windows while they were out. <br /> <strong>Overview of Experience:</strong> <br /> It was apparent from the start that Timothy is clearly focused on understanding and providing what the customer wants/needs and not just obtaining a signed contract. Timothy met with me in person and on the phone a handful of times prior to finalizing our contract. Throughout the entire process I felt comfortable reaching out to him for advice and clarification, and never felt as if my questions were "elementary" or annoying. <br /> Timothy was on site each morning to see progress and ensure that everything was meeting our standard. It is great to have this interaction with the owner. Additionally, all of his team is punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. They take time to show and educate you as they are performing work. <p> </p> <p>Our home is about 8 or so years old. The builder didn't take much pride in finishing the walls in the garage. Having had a finished garage in our prior home I knew that was something I wanted and also knew that the finished garage in our prior home was a huge selling point. The crew from Timothy's Home Improvement did a fantastic job of finishing the walls and ceiling and the floor is perfection. The crew was very professional, punctual, and courteous. They arrived when they said they would and upon leaving the work area was as clean as they had found it. All in all a very favorable experience.</p> <p>The overhang on our front porch was constructed in such a way that allowed rain water to infiltrate the fascia and the overhang itself causing discoloration and bubbling of the paint. Tim?s crew completely reconstructed the fascia and overhang to the standard that it should have been by the builder and it looks great. </p> <p>My wife and I are very pleased with the work done by Timothy?s Home Improvement and will definitely be using them again. </p> <p> </p>

Tim's contractors were skilled and professional. Even when confronted with unexpected rotted wood, they were undaunted. They went above and beyond the contracted repair work and even hung a bat house for me. I would not hesitate to recommend them. <br /> <br />

Timothy's Home Improvement is a solid, credible contractor. Very professional and very respectful of home and property. <br /> The lead guy on the master bathroom remodel is one in a million. He definitely is an artist/craftsman. Everything installed was new <br /> from top to bottom. Porcelain flooring, shower stall built, toilet, vanity, plumbing, fixtures, lighting, ventilation, tub surround built and of course new tub. Ask to see pictures. I'm leaving a lot out. <br /> I'm very much a perfectionist and things had better be lined up, measured properly and level. Believe me...I check and notice everything. <br /> We can blame that on having a machinist / toolmaker for a Dad. Well (Bill), the lead on the bathroom remodel met my level on what I expect. After seeing how things were progressing I left many decisions up to him and I trusted his judgment at that point. He is very intelligent and a craftsman. <br /> <br /> The guest bathroom had new flooring put in, faucet/plumbing, toilet, ventilation and lighting. <br /> <br /> <br />

<p>A small job became large due to no fault of Timothy and his crew. Timothy was in touch prior to the start of the work and every day during the project. His team consisted of different people with areas of expertise. The size of the crew was appropriate to work involved. The deck installation had not originally been planned. Even so, Timothy was able to get the personnel and equipment immediately and all of the work was done within the week as planned.</p> <p>The team was professional and polite. They cleaned up every day. I live in a townhouse development and they were very respectful not only of my property, but of that belonging to my neighbors.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I will use Timothy again.<br /> <br /></p> <br />

While searching for someone to replace the very large leaking Palladian window above my front door, I found Timothy's Home Improvements in Angie's List. Timothy was quick to respond to my call and provided me with a reasonable estimate. After discussing the job with Timothy I was confident that Tim and his crew were competent and could do the job to my satisfaction. In the course of installing the window Tim's team found rot in the door and side window frames. We modified the contract to cover the rot repairs. Tim's crew went to work and did a beautiful job install the window and repairing the rotten trim. We also hired Tim to install drywall in my basement bathroom, the basement closet, and the garage ceiling. The drywall was installed in a timely <br /> fashion and was finished ready for paint. <br /> I was very happy with the work Tim and his gang did. Through the whole process of installing the window, making repairs to the front door and trim, and installing the drywall, Tim kept us informed of his progress and was always easy to contact (Tim always responded to my calls in 24 hours or less). <br />

The service provider arrived promptly to do an estimate. He then provided me a quote within a day. Upon receipt of the signed contract and deposit, he started within two days. His crew worked h****** this and, despite the weather, finished this job in 5 days (one of which was lost to weather). <br /> The work looks great. <br />
