I contacted several other decking contractors during the summer. They came and they provided a quote, but when I followed up with them, it took several weeks for me to get a response back. I was hosting an event at my house and really wanted the deck finished on a short time frame. I was referred to Scott and his crew with only about 3 weeks until my project needed to be completed. Scott was very responsive in providing me with a quote and said that he could start on the work right away. Scott did a great job of managing expectations on the project and finding ways to get the project done in the most cost efficient way possible. He was invaluable when dealing with the city inspector as well. When other contractors told me that it would take two weeks to get a response back from the city inspector, Scott helped me to secure a same-day inspection to keep the project on schedule. While working on the deck, Scott noticed a few very loose deck footings and the rough shape that my fence gate was in. He gave a fair price on a replacement of the gate an built a very nice new gate. The project was completed and inspected on time, maybe even ahead of schedule. I was happy with the service and was very impressed with the responsiveness and promptness that Scott displayed. I would consider him and his firm for future landscaping projects.

Job was completed on time and very close to proposed budget.

On time and on budget. They designed and installed a patio that fit in an A-symmetrical space near my sun room. The brick walk way frames our house perfectly.  A year later, after the winter season, the bricks are still in place and level. We are very pleased with the end result. Our next door neighbor was so impressed they had S&S SPECIALTY LANDSCAPING design and install a large patio as well.

Scotties was responsive when we called with questions. They cleaned up the work sites very well. We were pleased with the work.

It was a great! <br /> We had a number of contractors bid the work, and most of them walked away rather than submitting a bid. The stones used were 200-400 lbs each and the area was not accessible with machinery, so the stones had to be placed by hand. Of the few contractors that did bid, S&S was not quite the lowest, but they were very competitive and took the time to understand precisely what we wanted.  <br /> It was a massive project and S&S came through for us. It was a two week project (ten days) that took a bit longer due to weather delays. Despite all the challenges everything was kept clean and tidy.  <br /> I was particularly impressed with Scott's flexibility, he was knowledgable about different products we could use and advised without forcing us to take his advice, when we made decisions contrary to his recommendations he verified technique with the supplier, and now with the early snow melt I can visually inspect and see that the patio held up superbly through the winter.  <br /> The team was also flexible, there were 2-3 guys there doing the prep and grading work, but then on rock placing days the crew grew to 6-7 guys. Everyone was polite and Abe in particular was extremely knowledgeable. <br />

<p>It went horrible the wall started to bow after three days. He also charged us more than the original bid. He did not want to fix the wall which he gave us a verbal 5 year warranty on. We ended taking him to court and now have a judgement against him. He as informed me that he will never pay the money. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to hire this guy. Please save yourself the headache and don't hire this guy. He goes by several names maybe this is to hide his reputation. We hired him as S&S Landscaping.. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>3/12/2016  Scott contacted me after 8 months of going through the court system asking if he could pay a quarter of the judgment I said NO its to late you had your chance to fix it. I asked that all he do is pay the judgment against him and he said he would not. He then admitted to having a bobcat being driven on the wall and said that is what caused it to bow. He mentioned if I would take down this rating I said no other people need to see your horrible work.  He also was not the lowest bid we had as he claims. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p>
