"After only positive interactions with Mr. [Member Name Removed], I was very surprised to see this feedback. Mr. [Member Name Removed] hired Titan Remediation to remediate his home in Pompano. He had previously received a quote from a different remediation company and provided it to us for review. The other quote had been approved by Mr. [Member Name Removed]' insurance provider and, as a result, we came in below this approved quote's cost. During the remediation process, Mr. [Member Name Removed] expressed his satisfaction with our progress and lauded our attention to detail. In fact, he was so pleased with our work he also asked us to do the remodeling following remediation. We discussed the rebuild options and created a plan to submit a drawing for review. However, during a final meeting, Mr. [Member Name Removed] disclosed he did not want us to pull permits for the work. We declined the opportunity to move forward as our professional knowledge informed us that permitting was necessary. A short time later, Mr. [Member Name Removed] asked to meet again to discuss remodeling. We declined again, maintaining our stance on permitting and our schedule had since been committed to new jobs. Despite the clarity with which we expressed our situation, Mr. [Member Name Removed] continued to request remodeling assistance for several weeks. It is very hard to believe that Mr. [Member Name Removed] was in any way unhappy with our remediation work given his repeated requests to have us continue work for him. Subsequently, Mr. [Member Name Removed] recieved our checks for the remediation work, however, he refused to speak with us and even his insurance provider at one point. He obtained a copy of the final invoice that was authorized and agreed upon by the insurance company and began questioning the invoice. The insurance provider aided by cancelling the checks and then resubmitted them directly to Titan Remediation along with an apology for any delay. Regarding the invoice, it is important to remember that for remediation work, itemized bills may give the appearance of duplicate items. Typically, this is because items have to be listed line item by line item and not grouped by service or by room. More importantly, is that the insurance provider authorized and approved the work, and the work done and billed was within the boundaries of that agreement. Remediation is an endeavor that is made more costly due to the high level of training and liability involved. As far as a claim about our licensing status, insurance providers would NOT agree to pay claims to unlicensed remediation companies, plain and simple. The AOB we require you to sign prior to doing work, allows our company to bill the insurance company directly. More importantly, it gives us the ability discuss your claim with someone who holds the same knowledge and understanding of the remediation work required. Signing the AOB, of course, allows you to retain your rights and maintain full control of any remodeling work to complete your project. However, it is important to know that the company you choose to complete your work assumes all financial responsibility of your claim until it is settled, no matter how long that process takes. We at Titan Remediation take pride in the fact that we are able to help people in difficult situations. Remediation work is initiated out of necessity and not by choice. We take the gravity of our clients' situations seriously and strive to help you navigate a complicated process by shielding you from as much stress as possible. While it may be a long and difficult process, we have consistently found the result of our work is that we get homes back to a healthy and safe environment for our clients and their families."
