Service was excellent in every way. Provider came promptly, was courteous and helpful, and completed the job in a very short time.

I had a jimmy-proof Yale lock on my iron gate replaced last year. The installation then was poor. One screw was never screwed into anything. Recently one of the other screws broke recently, the shaft was broken off. Called, and had the locksmith at my place about 45 minutes later. He worked for over an hour getting it secured properly.

My wife and purchased a home and we needed to rekey the locks. I called Mr. Ngana and he came to the house that evening to examine the doors. He was able to re-key five of the locks that night, but there were two locks with skinny "Papaiz" locks that had rusted/broken cylinders and had to be completely replaced. Mr. Gnana went to the shop to purchase the new locksets and replaced them at our next opportunity. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service.

Top-notch service. It was cold night, so the situation was something of an emergency. I consulted Angie's List and called Tivoli Locksmith. The locksmith came immediately and handled the situation with real professionalism. I don't know what my neighbor was charged, so I can't comment about the price, but I was very, very impressed with the service. I hope I don't run into a similar situation, but if I ever do, I'd trust Tivoli.

It was a very good experience. The locksmith was there within 30 minutes after I called in spite of terrible Friday afternoon traffic. He got there before me and waited 20 minutes till I arrived.

Joseph/Tivoli Locksmith is a first-class company that provided prompt attention, thorough service, and exceptional outcome. I called on 9/2 to request a site visit to look at a faulty outer gate lock to my DC rowhouse. Joseph (the Proprietor) answered the call and let me pick the day and time for him to come out to my house. I selected the next day (9/3) @ 2pm. At 1:35pm Joseph was at my house and calling me to make me aware tht he was there. I hadn't returned from errands yet and asked that he look at the faulty lock until I arrived. Once I arrived he was positive and courteous, and quickly offered an assessment for the lock issue. He provided a quote of $125 if he were able to fix the existing lock. After earnest attempts to fix the existing lock he informed me that it had some fatal flaws and offered to install a replacement lock for $175, with a $25 discount. I was pleased with this option/offer and gave him the go-ahead to proceed. He quickly installed the lock and even provided a custom fit for the bolt to drive in to since the door frame of the gate was so old and had insufficient wood to support a robbery proof solution. This he did at no extra charge, but I had added piece of mind!

Joseph has done great work for me in the past, so when I lost the entire set of keys to my new house (investment property) he was my first frantic call. He remembered me from two years prior and came immediately - like within 30 minutes. He explained that he had an appointment in an hour, but that he'd get me started and come back to finish the job. I had full faith and confidence in him so I explained how we wanted everything re-keyed and went home to my kids and waited. He finished his other job, went back to my new place, did all the work, and called me. He offered to bring me the new set at my home since it's hard for me to get out with the kiddos. He drove over, explained all the new keys, and SERIOUSLY undercharged me for the work (it should have been at least $700 for everything he did). Joseph is amazing; reliable, friendly, dedicated, responsible, and professional. You absolutely cannot go wrong if you call him. I deal with contractors and service employees often in running our investment properties - Joseph is the real deal go-to guy for me. It's a great feeling to have someone you trust explicitly who you know will come through when you need him.

Joseph showed up promptly and knew exactly what we wanted. He also recommended that we re-key two locks to use the same key to minimize the amount of keys we have carry. It took about 2.5 hrs. The last 30 mins was spent on trying to get one key to work.

This was an emergency call, Joseph was there within an hour. He quickly re-keyed the lock and made several keys to match. He was fast and incredibly courteous.

NIGHTMARE!!!!! I called and made an appointment with Joseph on Thursday 9/18/08 for 5:30pm. He arrived at about 6:40pm and went to work on the locks. The problem came after the work was finished, on their company profile it details that they accept credit cards and I pay mostly by this method to contractors. When I offered my credit card to him, he told me that there credit card machine was not working and in fact they have not used it in weeks. I told him that this is my primary method of payment and if his machine was out could he bill me. He then made numerous nasty remarks about how its not his fault that the Angie's List information was not correct and that I have to pay him now or he would remove all of the cylinders he just changed. Other remarks which I will tone down the rhetoric but you will get the point, where "thats why I don't like doing business with black people." Furious and feeling like this is the worst nightmare I have ever been in with a contractor and I have been owning several properties for 5 years. This locksmith only agreed to not remove the locks after following me to my home for me to give him a check. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM ANGIE'S LIST AND I WILL FOLLOW UP TO SEE WHAT COURSE OF ACTION YOU WILL TAKE WITH THEM. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, COMPANY PROFILE MISLEADING AND I WILL ONLY TELL THOSE IN THE FUTURE TO RUN AWAY FROM THEM WHEN IN NEED OF A LOCKSMITH. THIS IS 100% TRUTH AND I WELCOME THIS COMPANY TO TRY AND DISPROVE THIS.

They were excellent and did a great job. They were very prompt and quick to respond. I felt the price was very fair and reasonable. I would recommend them to other people.

The locksmith did a great job. They were prompt and efficient and worked quickly and neatly. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves to the point you couldn't even tell they had been here. We are very pleased with all the locks and we feel safer than before.

It took him three hours, which was unusual. The design of the cylinder was not compatible with my door, so he said that was why it took so long and why he charged so much. I thought that I could have gotten a better deal. I was not happy with them this time and I would not use them again.

The first job he did, the price was reasonable and he was responsive and pleasant to work with. I give him very positive remarks on Angie's List and said, that I would recommend him again. Unfortunately my experience the second time I would not recommend him.

They really worked quickly as I think the locksmith was done in about thirty minutes with the repair and the replacement. The guy who did the repair was very friendly and talkative. I would recommend their service.

The whole experience I had with the locksmith was not good. I wanted a certain lock for one of my doors and the locksmith who came out didn't agree. He became quite unpleasant and made the whole situation really uncomfortable for me.

Joseph is a good locksmith for common lock problems. He should probably have passed on this particular job as being to difficult rather than attempt to fix it and fail at the task.

Tivoli removed broken key from lock. It was a very cold day. He was punctual and very courteous. He worked in the freezing temperature outside to finish the job.

He received the wrong lock and he said that they could re engineer it. I wanted the right type of lock for my door from the factory, not for him to fix the wrong one. He became very angry and said that he would take out the temporary lock or charge me a $125 for the temporary lock. He is a terrifying person.

Mr. Ngana called back promptly and came within 2 days. The work was completed satisfactorily and Mr. Ngana was courteous, polite and efficient.

Joseph arrived on time and was very nice and cleaned up after himself, but that's where the good ends. He gave me an estimate of $250 to re key my locks over the phone, but when he finished his work, he handed me a bill for $375! He did not give me the advertised Angie's list discount, but did agree to knock down the bill to $350. When I looked at the receipt, I noticed he charged to re key 9 locks and replace one. I only have 7 locks in my whole house. Two weeks later, one lock won't open at all, and I can't use my back door. He's promised to come to fix it three times, but has never shown up. Now, he won't return my calls. Very Disappointed.

They responded quickly and did what they were supposed to do. They did good work.

He answered his phone whenever I called. He responded to my request in a timely manner. He was pleasant and professional. I would use him again.
