Great job

It took over six months to complete what should have taken about three months. The contractor was not very communicative after the work started. There was actually a period of about three weeks when I could not reach him. I called, texted, emailed, but did not receive any response until I threatened to find another contractor. At that point, he appointed an onsite liaison, Ken, who was more responsive. Once the work was "done", there were items that had to be fixed.

He did a great job in the beginning and did most of the job within about 2months.  I was very pleased with his work, and even referred him to others.  I did give him a down payment of $27,500.00 and was never compensated for uncompleted work.  He just stopped showing up and never finished the last 5% of the work.  He became completely non-responsive to phone calls as well.  

Contacted us and said he had a financial meltdown but would  not reimburse the down payment of 30,000.  Started not showing up for appointments. Would not answer calls to business or cell. <br />

We communicated by phone, email, and text messages, including text messages at 6:30am that i thought was inappropriate. He said the painter would be there at 8am however I was unavailable till 10am. I was promised he would be there at 10am however he did not arrive till 4pm. Kinda ruined my plans for the day. Thats the low Punctuality score. <br /> I had also asked for a quote on exterior painting and concrete work. Was promised a proposal on 4/4 but did not get a formal written proposal yet. They wanted to start pressure washing the outside without a formal proposal. I felt railroaded there told him NO. That is a low tactic on the professional score. <br /> <strong>The painter did  do great job and at a great price</strong> but i joined Angie's list to find the best contractors. I realize that stuff happens and contractors are busy people. We all are. Overall Good rating. <br /> <br /> <br />

<p>.TJ was seldom on site and did not manage the construction at all, I had do work with the sub contractors as he gave little to no instructions to them.  After final payment we found a problem with the glass doors, the screens would not go on the doors.  He said he would get the rails fixed but after two weeks stopped answering my text and phone calls.  I went to where the glass doors were purchased and they came out to look at them and said the wrong rails were installed, but there was nothing they could do because TJ's people installed the doors.  Now were are stuck with glass doors where the screens will not stay in the doors.</p> <p>Also have problems with the floors buckling and stucco coming apart in places.</p>

'I had had trouble finding someone to attack my 35 year old rubber tree which had taken over my back yard (and my neighbor's yards).  It's at least 20-30 feet tall and takes up most of the yard and had grown into the utility lines.  I found Titan's Tree Service ad on a Google page and decided to give them a call.  They came out later that same day to give me an estimate. I accepted their price and we set a date.  The next day they called to say they had had a cancellation and could come the next day.  I was thrilled since I had been looking for someone for weeks.  They showed up on time and went right to work.  I told them to trim it as much as they could and they did much more than my previous tree service and for a lower price.  I will definately use them again. <br />

Tommy was the third person I contacted to get a quote on the renovation of my house.  When my family first met him, we liked him immediately.  He listened to what we wanted and gave us his input.  We could tell he was a honest man, trust worthy and an expert in his line of business.  Tommy proved to us immediately that our first impressions of him were correct.  He was able to get the best at the lowest price for his customers.  The cabinets, granite and flooring were high end and the best quality.  The original quote was $43,000.  After the job started, I increased the scope of work to include things like widening the Master bath door, painting the exterior, installing hurricane shutters, and screening in the front porch.  All his price adjustments for these extra jobs were reasonable. He and his employees were very efficient and finished the job in the original scope of time, even with the additional requirements.  I had my neighbors tell me that somebody was there every day and they often said that we picked a good contractor!  He was very good at returning emails and texts.  I was very picky (as one should be) about how my house looked and how the work was done.  Anything I had a problem with was addressed quickly. I would (and have) recommend Tommy McDonald to my friends and anybody who reads this.  Choosing him to be our contractor was, by far, the best decision my family and I made.  During the middle of this renovation, I asked Tommy if he could do some upgrades to the house I just bought before I moved in.  If I wasn't happy with Tommy's work on this renovation, I would have never asked him! <br /> <br /> <br />

Tommy McDonald made it possible for us to upgrade our single pane windows to top of the line (name brand)., tinted, insulated windows. Without his help and generosity, it would have taken several more years before we could have made this upgrade, if at all. It is rare these days to find a businessman with his integrity and sense of fairness. When we shook hands on the deal I knew he was committed to provide everything he promised and more, which he did. <br />      The installation went very smooth and the end result was nothing less than professional. He is the only contractor I would recommend and the only one I would trust. My wife and I are totally satisfied with the quality of his work and we are looking forward to the next project he can do for us. Thank you Tommy, job extremely well done and much appreciated.

This was all done at my brother's home in Florida.  He does not have a computer so I am doing this part for him with his input. <br /> <br /> He said there was not one negative thing he can say about this person/company. <br /> In fact, one day when he was calling to talk to him about a minor thing, he was pulling in the driveway.  Alway on top of everything.  Work was great.  <br /> <br /> Would definitely recommend him. <br /> Wish there were more companies like this <br />

He is excellent. He did a lot of work for me. He did some bathroom remodeling and repair work. He did the drywalls, doors, windows, exterior walls, stucco, concrete work, air conditioning ducts, plumbing and other works. It was a big job. He did $75000 worth of job. He was punctual and honest. He went above and beyond what he said he would do. He paid to attention to detail. He and staff were unbelievable; they were so professional. They restored my faith in contractors. He was onsite and did a great job. He was just terrific. I can?t say enough about him. I would highly recommend him to anybody. I would hire him in the future if required.
