TJM Family Construction

Tracy was going to charge me $150,but honored another estimate I had received  for $115. The job was well done and in a timely manner.Everything was cleaned up & put back in place when he was finished. He is friendly and seems to care that he does his work correctly.

This is the second time I have used TMJ Family Construction. Tracy is great to work with, The job was done on time and on budget. The jobsite was left clean each day and they worked around my dogs schedule as the work was in my backyard

THE GUY STARTED THE JOB AND DID EVERYTHING WRONG MORE THAN THREE TIMES OF CORRECTIONS.

I had payed the service provider for my remodel and had signed a contract for the work. He had contacted me and told me that he was going through an divorce and that because they were partners it would be a while before he could start. He told me that he was so busy even though he had dissolved the business. He kept putting me off putting me off and then through someone who used to work for him that he had left the NJ area and was working in Florida. He left me high and dry with my deposit and no work and no updating me on where he was working and he refused to get in touch with me (He blocked my phone number)

Tracey and his crew were very professional and friendly. They put in new windows and storm door. When I came home to find that the door was swinging the wrong way Tracey took it off and rehung it with no fuss at all. The trim and finish work is beautiful. Tracey and his crew even worked around my dogs and their schedule, making sure gates and doors were closed at all times. This is my second project with TJM Family Construction and I will use and recommend them again.

He's been very good in anything he's done with me. I need to know when I will get the work done or if he cannot. I gave him two checks last April 5th & 6th totaling approximately $8k and has delayed giving me an updated final contract based on the changed we both have made, so he will not begin the work. I need a finalized updated contract, so my kitchen remodel can begin and get completed. It has been almost a year.

You can do no better them TJM Family Construction for any construction work for your home. Not only do they do superior work but they do treat you like family. I had an outdated falling apart bathroom and now I have what seems like a spa. They do everything: new tiles, floor, fixtures , sink etc.. There is nothing Tracey and his crew can't build or fix. They are truly amazing. The best contractor I have ever dealt with. And their prices are very reasonable. I can't wait for them to do my kitchen!!!!

Went very well. They are very nice and easy to get along with. Respectful to their surroundings and willing to listen/figure out the best and most cost efficient way to go about things. All jobs came out very satisfactory.

The job was done well. The work was done timely, given the weather. The workers were professional and cleaned up everyday. They were respectful of us and our property. They were also responsive to any detail that we had brought to their attention.

<p>The workmanship was excellent and attended to every detail I requested.  I would definitely use Tracy again for any remodeling work I need.  I have received numerous compliments from my neighbors.  </p> <p>He cleaned up when finished and covered other parts of the unit so as to minimize the dust factor.</p>

<p>The very first day they started they were late and then late multiple times after that. When they did the demolition they left a wall up that would have created and bump out in the room that I had to tell him about, he then stated that he would charge a little more for that and not to worry about it. They put up a whole wall 6 inches further then I specifically requested in writing based on plans. They had to take it down and correct it. Then while doing the job Tracy stated that he was not going to put in two independent electrical lines per the contract. I argued and had to remind him that it was written in the contract. I don't believe that he would have installed them any way. He was rude to my wife while on site. To the point I had to let him know, never the less my wife is no push over any way. She had no problem telling him. Then he told my wife she could leave the home alone with them there and that they wouldn't steal any thing. When my wife told me that I thought are you kidding me? On several occasions while working outside we would over hear Tracy yelling at other customers. While Tracy was outside yelling at some one on the cell phone. One of his employees was working and was struggling with something I jumped in to try to help him. That was a huge mistake on my part. Tracy came back in and said very angrily to me can I get in there. They also smelled of alcohol and smoked cigarettes in the work area total unprofessionalism. I knew I was in trouble I had paid 2000.00 so far, and at the very least wanted to get my moneys worth. That didn't happen subsequently I told him I no longer wanted his services. Since then I brought in two licensed plumbers that stated the same thing, the work he did was done wrong and would have to be corrected.</p> <p>I will be bringing this guy to small claims court. This guy Is a joke don't be fooled. I'm writing this review in the hopes that no one makes the same mistake I did. Trust me I'm paying for it <b>$$$$</b></p> <p></p> <p> </p>

This is a great company!  They are skilled and reasonable.   They do what they say they are going to do, they do it when they say they will do it and they are sensitive to pricing.  What more can you ask??   I highly recommend them.

The day was uneventful but very successful. All work was completed and Tracy is very thorough and keeps you updated all along the way. I have only praise for TJM Family Construction and was glad I contacted him after being "blown off" by others who obviously didn't want the business, or didn't think they could handle it. Tracy's great!

<p>It went extremely well! The appraisal of the job was prompt and thorough. The estimate that followed was detailed, concise, and the price was very reasonable. Tracy and his helper showed up ready to work. But, they were faced with two big surprises: the door was delivered unassembled, and we had some water damage at the door sill which couldn't be detected until the old door was removed. Tracy promised the sill would be repaired completely and they would deal with the significant task of assembling the door before installation - and he assured us we would not be shocked at the additional cost. They spent 2-3 times the estimated man-hours to complete the installation, and it cost Tracy his only weekend day off. The additional cost was less than we expected (feared), and all the details were taken care of. Workmanship was superb - TJM obviously has the skill and experience the do the job right. I would recommend this contractor to anyone, and we expect to have them do more projects at our home.</p> <br />

Tracey was very professional, listening to my wants and suggesting the best way to achieve them. He offered options and never made me feel silly for asking questions. <br /> This is a family business and I like that he is teaching the trade to the next generation. <br />

<p>They were on time, pleasant to my tenants, careful of and covered the tenants equipment under the area they needed to work on. They supplied all material needed to do the job, even the bleach to kill the mold, removed all the material that needing to be discarded and cleaned up after they were done.  I was very pleased.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />

He did an excellent job. I was very happy and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use him again.

Tracy and his team of three did a great job. They started when they said they would, generally met expectations for how long the job would take, and delivered high quality results. They also did a few little extra things that needed to be fixed that were discovered after the job had already been scoped; they did these additional items for no extra charge. <br /> I would hire TJM Family construction again. The estimating process was fair and transparent, the work was done as expected with little-to-no surprises, and the end product was excellent. In addition, Tracy and his team are honest and trustworthy, which is super important when you have people working in your home. Thank you for the great work. <br />

This is a very friendly and professional family business! <br /> I was pleased with their prompt communication and work ethic.  Tracy is a good listener and did things exactly the way I wanted. They came when they said they would and worked hard to complete everything on time.   I would definitely hire them again! <br />

Excellent workpersonship and quality.  The materials and end product (deck and restoration of area) were as requested and price was very good. This deck is built to last and looks good.  The Provider had to make adjustments to schedule due to weather and other emergent issues; nevertheless, the end product and quality exceeded expectations. <br />

All went well. We needed it done within a certain time frame, and he fit us into his schedule. It was inspected by the town and passed.  He works with his nephew, who was extremely courteous and professional. <br />

Job went well but when old door was removed Tracey found that the new door was a bit undersized. The door was labeled as new construction, but it did not fit the opening. Tracey had to then improvise to fit the door to the opening, which he did very nicely. Tracey was very accommodating and even returned on Sunday to complete the work. Although it cost more than the original estimate due to the extra work needed, Tracey gave us a fair price and even made some concessions with the price. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing work done. Very professional and clean. <br />
