TLC in AZ, LLC

After 12 weeks of a 4 to 6 week job and not finished, terrible attention to detail I locked them out of the job today and filled with the ROC, I asked for their ROC number and they wouldn’t give it and I couldn’t find it on the ROC website. So I am now assuming their not licensed and the quality of their work shows that. Scott wanted to fight me in the street when he came to pick up the last of his tools. Will update with the ROC findings.

It went wonderfully. Scott does great work. He communicates daily. The stucco repair went quickly & the paint job was done beautifully. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know.

These guys are awesome! They've done exterior and interior work and definitely go above and beyond. They beat other quotes significantly, were great communicators, and didn't leave a mess. TLC in AZ does incredible work, and they will always be my first call when I need any wall repair service.

Scott and Sofia were amazing to work with! After I had submitted my inquiry for an interior painting job that needed to be done in a new build home I got a call from Scott pretty much immediately. We set up a time to do a virtual tour of the home and they gave me numbers soon after that. First day of painting they were able to finish (almost) all of the main part of the house and the master bedroom! They worked all day (and into the night) and it looked amazing. They came back to do touch-ups and finish behind the fridge two days later and were able to leave us some leftover paint. Very easy to communicate with, and they did an excellent job. I will definitely reach out to them again if I need another paint project done, and will be recommending them to friends and family.

I had to fire owner Scott since after two weeks on the job, only 50% of the house was painted. I was very patient in allowing him extra time to finish my 1,800 sq ft house, which should have taken 4 days to paint. Days would elapse where Scott would not come to my house or call me. I had to call him to find out what was happening. After two weeks, I fired him. When I called to tell him (after 14 days on the job) that he had to have my house finished in three days he started screaming at me, telling me that I will not tell him how to run his business. This has been a horrible experience for my wife and I.

Scott contacted us quickly, and after meeting and inspecting the site, he submitted a proposal which we reviewed and accepted. He scheduled us for the following week. He was here as scheduled and kept us informed throughout to work. He and his assistant completed the job to our satisfaction in two days as promised.

Not well. Contractor agreed to 1) patchwork of 4x8 section, 2) full cut out, replace wire, and 3) texture match existing pattern. The workers, Scott and Sofia, completed 1 and 2, but could not match pattern, even after two attempts. After further reviewing prior job photos on Angie's List, it became apparent they have limited experience in stucco, and in particular pattern matching, in spite of what they claimed and agreed to. After the second failed attempt to match the pattern, I decided to drop them. As a result of this, I had to hire another company to complete the job. I found a professional stucco and plastering company, with decades of combined experience who discovered the underlying wire mesh (chicken wire) was not properly interfaced with the adjacent areas, and thus had to be redone, and then they completed the finish coat and perfectly matched the pattern with the adjacent areas. This other company did a wonderful job. I have high definition pictures of the work done by TLC in AZ, and the work performed by the other company to fix the problems created by TLC in AZ.

It has taken me far too long to write this review. For the tl;dr crowd, let me just put it this way. Scott and Sofia exceeded every expectation as it relates to quality, punctuality, communication, and overall value. I honestly feel so lucky to have found them. For those who want to know a bit more, I'll start with this: in my first conversation with Scott, he said that he is first and foremost in the customer services business. That is a good sign when you are speaking with a contractor. From there, I had them come and evaluate the house. They had a quote back to me within hours to repair major stucco cracks, minor ones, and to paint a few exterior walls. They were so affordable we had them do a much larger project than initially anticipated. Their explanation of the project and the anticipated timetable was spot on, and if anything changed (even minor) they always communicated with us. Most importantly, the quality was outstanding. High quality + low price = maximum value. I recommend TLC in AZ without a single reservation, and I'm very picky. If you're not sold yet, here is a final detail. During the final stages of painting, a slight bit of paint fell on an umbrella I had left outside. I returned home to a brand new, much larger umbrella with an apology for "damaging" the other umbrella. Scott and Sofia err on the side of customer satisfaction. No nitpicking. No arguing. They go the extra length without prompting to ensure their clients are happy. Call them now for your project. You will not regret it.

They did a great job. Provided a lot of information about what they would be doing, worked very efficiently and pleasantly, and did an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

Very well! The stucco coarseness is uniform and the paint matches the previous paint job; can't tell there had been a problem.

Everything went great. Contractor showed up when he said he would. He did all the work that was included in the bid. I have no problems and would hire him again.

We hired TLC to paint the interior of our house while it was vacant over the summer. Scott and his crew did a great job and left the house very clean.

Scott and Sofia, the work they did on our tile and flooring after prior tenants destroyed our unit...miracle workers, very affordable, offer payment plans which helped with the amount we had to spend, gave copies of every receipt for every supply and whatever work we needed, and took credit cards for payment as well which was protected by the payment app used so we were protected as well as them rather than paying a check directly and it not working out, prepayment wasnt asked for. Nothing was expected up front either. They even found us a new stainless steel fridge, paid for it on their card, so we wouldnt lose the sale price they found with military discount, and took care of delivery so i didnt have to leave work. I mean these two are hands down freakin saints and wont let you down. Their work is also warranted for one year. And they went above and beyond surprising us with updated LED lighting and this amazing backsplash in the kitchen for free as they knew my man is serving overseas and the prior tenants literally destroyed the flooring, left windows open for mold, left food garbage in bags on the floor and our brand new carpet not even 6 months old, their dogs destroyed with holes ripped in, dog urine in the carpets, really just screwed up and made it non-rentable at all and again Scott and Sofia just gave us like a brand new place, new wood flooring throughout, deep cleaned, new paint, fixed our sinks and like i said gave us cool upgrades as a surprise that just made the value of it higher than before the destruction. And the price, they really considered and respected our budget. I will use them for anything i need going forward.
