They torn up my lawn and landscape edging and told me I had to repair it myself and then charged me more than the original estimate.

"Dear [Member Name Removed] Architect, We know you are happy with your fence and that it is installed exactly where you wanted it. You told us you were pleased with how it looks and so I'm so happy that Angies List gives contractors an opportunity to respond to reviews . There is so much more to this, as you well know. I'd like to address each of your points itemized below 1.) The reason the lawn had gotten damaged is because there had been posts set there. The posts were installed in that location because you requested them there. Then, when you changed your mind, we extracted the posts and reinstalled them in the new area you told us you preferred. We did fill in the holes and raked them over. Had you been decisive, this would have been avoided, and also saved a lot of time and effort. 2.) Crushing the piece of your edging was an accident. We apologized for this numerous times in emails, over the phone, and by Troy stopping over to resolve this. Your site required the machine to dig holes, and the space we were working in was very limited. Again, it was unintentional and the offer still stands. 3.) The contract is higher than quoted because it was based on a price per post installation - as you well knew. So... when you added more posts, the price went up . Mr [Member Name Removed], we always strive for complete customer satisfaction. Having worked with your architect services / designs on 3 separate occasions, we expected so much more professionalism from you. Your indecision left our installers installing and moving posts around like they were lawn furniture . The same indecision led to a post being placed directly on top of a drainage pipe...this from an architect ? ( which we repaired at our own expense) You expected our installers to move all your construction debris out of the way for the fence installation- which was never discussed or factored in. The wire you expected us to use was buried in weeds 10' tall that we had to fetch. My men spent an hour just hacking away at the weeds and briars to get to the buried, overgrown rolls of wire. Because of all the ways you took advantage of us, your simple job went from taking a day to taking three days. But, in the end, you got exactly what you wanted , where you wanted it, and told us you liked the end result. You were happy with your new fence. For that, we felt accomplished and satisfied. What disappointed us, however, was that we tried contacting you for over 3 months with no reply regarding the damage to the edging and no payment for any of the work or material."

The gentlemen was very professional and kept his word with everything. They called when they said they would, they did everything they said they would do, and I would highly recommend them. They were prompt, professional, and great to work with.

I contacted TNT via email and I received a prompt response from Troy Yanoff scheduling a date for an estimate. Mike, our future fence-installation foreman, came to our house, spent some time talking to my wife and I about what we wanted in our yard, made some notes and emailed me an estimate the next morning. My wife and I accepted the estimate, arranged for a construction date of May 11 (TNT was booking about 30 days in advance), and placed an over-the-phone Amex card deposit with TNT (about 33% of the total fencing cost). <br /> The late April weather caused some delays in getting some of TNT's prior work finished and our fence installation date was moved up to May 13. Mike arrived about 7:30 AM that morning and began knocking down the existing fence, the rest of the crew arrived before 9 AM and got right to work. <br /> The fence that was being replaced was bordered by flowers and a neighbor's Koi pond. TNT was able to work around both the flowerbeds and the pond and performed a quality and professional installation. All work was completed by 4 PM the day of service. <br /> My wife and I were (and are) well-pleased with their service. <br />

I couldn't be happier with the results. The fence looks great and was completed on time. Throughout the process, communication was fantastic and prompt. The crew was courteous and professional. <br /> The area to be fenced is very rocky. I had doubts about it even being able to be done, but they did a great job. My landscaper later asked me how they managed to install a fence in such rough area. I don't know how, but they did it. <br /> On top of this, the price was at the low end of what I expected to pay. <br /> I only wish I needed another fence or that TNT did other types of work because I would hire them again in a minute. <br />

Everything went very smoothly! Very good customer service. The owner's wife was prompt in responding either by phone or e-mail. They stayed in contact after initial estimate to give us a date. They were very booked at the time but that's a good sign. They came the day they projected. We saved $100 by removing the old fence ourselves & disposing of the wood. Of the 3 Angie's List estimates I got, Troy's was the most reasonable. Very professional from start to finish. <br />

When I first called TNT fence, Rita answered and quickly made an appointment for Troy to come out and measure. Troy measured (in the snow!), explained my options, and let me know that he would send me an estimate within a few days. <br /> I didn't have to wait long. The next day, I had my estimate emailed to me. It was higher than other estimates I had received, but none of the other companies had reviews on Angie's list, and Troy & Rita were very friendly and accomodating, so I signed the contract. I did ask why the estimate was higher than others, and Troy explained that it was due to the rocky terrain. I appreciated the explanation. <br /> As promised, the appointment was scheduled as soon as Troy and Rita received my deposit. Then, unexpectedly, Troy had another client that wasn't ready for him yet, and he already had my materials, so he actually asked if he could install a week early...which was fantastic! <br /> Troy's entire crew arrived early in the morning for installation. The only surprise was that the auger hit a pipe at the end of my septic leach field, which they quickly repaired. The crew was very friendly, personable, and treated my space the same way I do. Nothing means more to me than having a contractor treat my home the way he would want his treated. <br /> Since I was paying Troy from an online bank, and installation happened early, I hadn't yet cut a check from my online account. I explained that to Rita and Troy, and there was no issue at all with me having a check cut the day of installation. <br /> I will be recommending TNT to everyone that needs a fence. If every company operated like this, there would not be a need for Angie's List. This company deserves special recognition. <br />

I contacted TNT through Angie's List, and received a prompt call back to arrange for an estimate. Todd was obviously knowledgeable and experienced, and took measurements and talked to me about what I wanted to do. I had studied the website pictures and knew what I wanted. I received a detailed estimate within a day or two, and it became clear that I needed to downsize the cost of the job. I widened the space between posts and removed "residential rail" from the job, and the resulting new lower cost fell within my budget. (My first revised estimate included an error, which was caught and corrected before work was started.) <br /> An installation date was determined three weeks out from the estimate date. This date was adjusted due to a short stretch of bad weather, and the fence was installed in one day. (I was in out of town on the installation date, but my neighbor watched the installation and said the crew was "amazing.") <br /> Some scrubby brush needed to be cut back in a few spots, but the crew apparently had no difficulty with it. There were a few small scraps of wire mesh left behind, and a small handful of staples, but the job was left otherwise in a neat and orderly fashion. <br /> What I did not expect: the truck(s) used in the installation left some pretty deep ruts in the yard, probably caused by the rain that had delayed the job softening the ground. Two of the gates were high on the bottom and my puppy had no difficulty wiggling under them. I called TNT and asked if they could retrofit the gates, and was told someone would come out with some pickets to remedy the problem. In a few days I came home from work to find one gate fixed, and I took care of the other one. The pup has not escaped since. Overall, I am pleased with the job and the responsiveness and professionalism of the personnel. I would use the company again, and have recommended it to neighbors. <br /> <br />

I got so many compliments from people that had seen the fence. Everyone says he did a very good job. He was very professional. I called and talked to his wife, one of the caps that go on top of the pole came off, and I want him to replace it. Maybe he just kind of forgot, but I just need him to come back. I am sure he would though if I give him another call. His price was $2,000 or $3,000 dollars less than another person that I called for an estimate. I would use him again in the future, and I would recommend him to other people too.

After initial contact, Troy came by and after we described what we wanted, he walked the property with us to be sure he understood what we were looking for. He showed us a number of options, and followed the next day with a quote. After some promptly-answered questions and revisions, we decided on our fencing and ordered the materials. After about a week and a half, TNT contacted us for installation. The evening before, crew members dropped off some equipment and first thing in the morning, they arrived and got to work. The job took about two days. We opted for a combination of picket fencing near our house, and rail fencing lined with wire around our treeline. This created a large yard for our very big dog to play in. There wasn't quite enough wire to finish the lining, and of course our dog found those spots immediately. But after a quick phone call to Troy a couple of guys showed up the next morning at 8AM and fixed them, and the overall installation is perfect, just what we wanted.

I needed a quality, good looking fence put up in my backyard. I went to Angies list and contacted about 5 installers to get quotes. Of the 5, 2 of them responded very quickly. One of them being Troy at TNT Fence. Troy was able to come to the house within two days and provide a quote. He was very professional and very friendly. I decided within a week to hire TNT Fence based off the quotes. Troy immediately called me and setup for delivery and install. I expected the process, from ordering to install, to take several weeks. However the fence was delivered and installed by TNT within 5 days. Troy walked me thru the whole process and kept me updated throught out the whole process. The fence is BEAUTIFUL. When Troy came to pick up the final payment, he even took some of MY extra garbage on the side of the house. He is very friendly, responsive, personable, and most importantly honest. For that I would absolutely recommend TNT Fence without hesitation.
