Kyle did an amazing job on my bathroom remodel and other work. He is worked diligently to get my bathroom shower and floor tiled in marble with a unique design elements. He pays close attention to detail and I was impressed with his craftsmanship and professionalism.

This is my third review, I’ve paid Kyle in full for work that he has no motivation to complete. I have texted for days and called before any response. The last conversation he lacked any motivation to complete his work. I have a shower door waiting to be put up, grout that needs completing, and grout that has pitted all over my bathroom. He lost the the sink stopper to a sink he never replaced and the pipe under another bathroom sink just came apart and water went everywhere. It was put together poorly. I would not have him do my third bathroom. Now I have to pay someone else to do work I paid him for. He bagged me to submit my first review before both the first bathrooms were finished. It was positive and I wish I could take it back. I have a hole in my wall where a shelf was supposed to go. I would never recommend Kyle to anyone. I’m very disappointed in how things went, this was a big investment for me. Hawaii is very expensive.

Kyle did an exceptional job. He completed the project quickly, professionally, and with extreme quality. We had a minor issue and he responded quickly and adjusted the build. I would highly recommend and would certainly hire this professional again.

Kyle has done truly fantastic work for us in a very reasonable amount of time. Our church decided to renovate our church cottage and convert it from a Sunday school house into a parsonage for our pastor to live. Our cottage had no bathrooms or bedrooms and was a large open space. With Kyle's help and input we were able to draw up blueprints to convert the space into a 3 bedroom 2 bath with a new kitchen, utility room, and living room. We had several ideas and he helped us refine them and told us when we were on the right path or when it was unrealistic. Within a month we were able to have a viable plan to begin construction and our pastor was able to move in after three months of work. This included reorganizing walls, running electric/water, floors, installing closets, new kitchen cabinets/appliances, a water heater, washer/dryer hookups, new windows, doors, and termite damage repair. He was flexible when we needed to bring in separate crews to do fumigation, A/C units, and roof repairs. He worked with the other contractors to make sure they had what they needed (delaying drywall for a week and finding other projects to do so the A/C crew could run cords inside the wall; running exhausts a week earlier than planned so the roofers could single around them...etc). He has always been very professional and his work is beautiful. He takes such pride in his work and will make sure your projects look their best. Kyle is easy to get ahold of and communication has been open throughout the entire project. I would definitely work with Kyle again.

Had a contractor that ended up doing more damage than you can imagine! My wife and I were devastated! Fired him and began looking for solutions to the botched 500 sq ft ceramic tile job. I found Kyle on Angies list. His reviews were great! I reached out to him and he responded back within 8 hrs. Set up an appointment to have him estimate the job. Upon meeting Kyle I immediately could tell he was personable, professional and competent! He did not mince words and was direct about the repair: The tile would need to be pulled up and reapplied..properly! After more conversation, my wife and I contracted Kyle and his team. Kyle really shared our pain and wanted to make our home whole again and restore our happiness. (It’s very hard to find that type of compassion these days) The job was finished in 3 days, quicker than expected! That included: complete demo of botched job, materials, hauling debris, prepping, installation and finishing. The result is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! My wife and I are extremely pleased with the craftsmanship of the install! Kyle and his son Malaki are true craftsman! VERY friendly, punctual, communicative, down to earth and business oriented! You can search for better but, I doubt you will receive the same service that Toa & Kyle’s Home Solutions offer! Chance em’! You won’t regret it! Worth every penny and some!

Went well. Kyle was easy to work with. Provided daily updates and explained step by step process. Shower looks amazing and luxurious. Hard worker and thoroughly cleaned up daily.

Kyle Ikeda Recommendation Kyle has been a very pleasant and personable craftsman to work with. The first time he came to the house to do an estimate he asked whether he needed to wear a mask or not and we told him we preferred he wear a mask when speaking with us. He did as we asked. He is very considerate and accommodating. He never forces his preferences on you. He makes expert and excellent professional and design suggestions but ALWAYS leaves the decisions to the home owner. During the estimating process he went over in detail the design options available to us, Making sure we understood the cost scale as he presented each option based on the current structure of the bathroom and its present features that is appealing and we should consider keeping. He was also very honest about whether certain ADA compliant features need to be adhered to. He also discussed with us the plusses and minuses of safety features to consider given our age. We decided on two design options based on ours and his valuable input and asked him to quote both options. He produced quotes for both options within two weeks. He then followed his quotes with a face to face meeting discussing in detail what was and was not included in each quote. Once we decided on which option to go ahead with, we then went into more detail on the specific hardware and tile to be selected. His extensive portfolio of previous remodels helped us greatly in choosing the hardware, size, color and tile pattern options to possibly use. At this stage Kyleʻs extensive experience and master craftsman experience was invaluable. During the remodeling process he reviewed daily what was done and what he was planning to do the next day. What we also appreciated about Kyle is that he is a very organized and neat professional, he cleans up at the end of each day. If Kyle sees an issue in the original design due to the tiles or hardware we chose or modifications he needed to make, in order to make the overall design look more appealing he will stop, consult with us before implementing any changes. His artistic skills come into play here and again his suggestions led us to make the whole project look so much better than we had envisioned. One time we noticed a bad variation in the tiles from the same box he had already set. He had just left the house 15 minutes ago and We called him about it. He turned around and came immediately back to the house and removed the offending tiles and reset it with tiles that matched. This illustrates how accommodating he is and how he will go out of his way to please the homeowners. In summary we very very highly recommend Kyle Ikeda as a master bathroom remodeler. He has excellent design and artistic skills and his recommendations based on his extensive experience and portfolio are right on. His communication skills are excellent and he involves the homeowners in all aspects of the remodel from the design phase to the final remodeling phase. The quality of his work is exquisite. The tile work is immaculate and the installation of our unique shower system was completed without a hitch. The pan was installed perfectly with no pooling and the water all flows to the drain. All the plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and tile work was done by a single person, Kyle Ikeda himself. No subcontractors are involved to cause scheduling holdups. Our renovation was completed on time in 3 weeks total, from tear down to completion. If you want a master remodeler with all the skills needed to do your perfect remodeling job, hire Kyle Ikeda.

All went very well! Kyle is great and very skilled. He is honest and hardworking. Arriving early and leaving late, Kyle worked to get things done. Kyle suggestions help take things to another level. His attention to detail helped make this simple shower conversion into something beautiful and luxurious. Kyle goes above and beyond. For example, He had finished painting the bathroom and walk-in closet. I was disappointed with the color I picked. Kyle, knowing I wasnʻt happy, went ahead and repainted it with color I liked making sure I was happy in the end. I will work with Toa and Kyleʻs Home Solutions again in the future and will continue to recommend them as often as possible. Also, Kyle is now my beef jerky chip dealer... lol

We love our dining room! Kyle was able to transform our spare bedroom into a beautiful dining room complete with upper and lower cabinets, drawers, a butcher block countertop, extra electrical outlets, and space for a refrigerator! He also tiled the entire first floor with a beautiful herringbone designed pattern and it is beautiful! Our guests are constantly complimenting our home and we love it! Kyle was very easy to work with and very responsive to all of our needs. We would definitely recommend him for any remodeling work you need and we will definitely be working with him again!

Kyle was great. Responsive. He provided a complete estimate at the beginning of the project and began the project on schedule. He communicated often and clearly as the work progressed and continued to be responsive until the project was complete. This was a big job but it went smoothly. There were a few unexpected bumps in the road but Kyle made sure everything turned out how we wanted. We’re definitely happy with the result!

No job is too big or too small for Toa and Kyle Home Solutions. Kyle does it all! My first contract with Kyle involved cleaning gutters, repairing a screen door, and changing the floor tile in the bathroom. This morphed into a huge project that took nearly a year to complete. When Kyle removed the existing bathroom floor tile, he discovered extensive termite damage that had been left by a previous contractor. It was like peeling the layers of an onion. The more Kyle uncovered, the grimmer it looked. He found that the termite damage had extended to two supporting beams downstairs. It involved consulting with a structural engineer and a pest control specialist to determine the exact extent of the termite damage. Kyle took the time to trouble shoot and brainstorm the project, consult with outside experts, and then set up a plan of action that covered two phases: 1. Replacing and reinforcing the beams to support the upstairs floor and 2. Changing out the termite eaten wood and renovating the entire upstairs (new flooring, tub, vanity, cabinets et. al.) Throughout the entire project, Kyle was extremely professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I so appreciated his patience with me as he sometimes had to explain and re-explain the process until I understood. He is extremely efficient and thorough, and his communication skills are beyond measure. He kept me posted continually throughout the work and sent pictures so I could see the progress. Prior to the onset of any phase, I was given a detailed description of the work to be done and it's cost. If I had questions, he promptly explained them. Kyle also had a unique ability to assess a problematic situation and offer an array of solutions so that I could pick the one that best fit my budget and timeline. I plan to use Kyle for future projects and highly recommend him without any reservations whatsoever. He is simply amazing! Kyle is the best contractor I've worked with on the island, hands down!
