Plumbing for a Remodel or Addition - Install
Hired Tom Drexler for a new furnace install. Paid $11,000 for a Trane unit. Sales process was high-pressure. Later found out my existing 5-year-old furnace had an active 10-year manufacturer warranty on the heat exchanger. This critical warranty data was never disclosed to me. Furthermore, the technicians hauled away and disposed of my original equipment without my consent, making it impossible to independently verify their failure diagnosis. Avoid due to deceptive practices and lack of disclosure.

Water Heater - Repair or Service
The plumber arrived and spent 6 hours trouble shooting water heater problem on newly constructed home. He was good and identified problems and took action to correct, but could not fix water heater issue. He discovered there was not enough power, so he could not charge for his efforts as he did not fix it. He offered a $16 and some change monthly service plan to help with costs and I agreed, but he genuinely tried his best including replacing two heating elements. His company brought two electricians who were here for 1 hour and charged over $300 to report there was a break in the wire and did not repair. Next day the builder of the house brought his electrician for 30 minutes, made repairs finding 3 wires leading from breaker box, but only 2 leading to water heater. He diagnosed a junction box somewhere was embeded that the 3rd wire went to. The two remaining wires had been accidently crossed and were wired wrong to the water heater. He corrected that and was done in 30 minutes.

Gas Piping
The job was to run a gas line for a stove while I was out of town. They had told me the job would be done on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Friday I get a call that the drawers to the stove are on the floor and the piping is just hanging there. So I call them...apparently they didn't have the right part and the installer was off for the next 2 days - so would be there on Sunday to finish the job - which by itself isn't terrible; however, they didn't tell me that they'd shutoff all the gas to the house - meaning no hot water and no heat in the house. When I asked them to send someone out immediately to finish the job they said that they couldn't do that...meaning that Sunday would be the earliest. They did call me back later to let me know they would get someone out on Saturday to finish the work. Then, they called me back on Saturday morning to let me know that only Chris could finish this job and so I'd have to wait until Sunday - meaning no heat or hot water when I get home.

Drexler's customer service was amazing - got a technician out to give an estimate the same day I called and started service the next buiseness day. Matthew was incredibly honest, personable, and professional. He did an amazing job installing the new water heater, hauled away the old water heater, and left no mess or scratches on the walls or floors whatsoever. My utility space might actually be cleaner than it was before he got here! 10/10 service!

Woke up to find our water heater had busted. Called a couple other plumbing places but they didn't service our area. Called Tom Drexler and we set up an appointment same day. They sent out a technician named alex adkisson. He was not only professional, but was also personable. He installed our new water heater after explaining the scope of the job to include cost and what that entailed. After completing the install he made sure the area was cleaned. We took care of the bill and signed up to become members. Overall excellent experience with Tom Drexler Plumbing.

Does NOT honor their own warranties, WILL NOT service their own installs . These people are straight up criminals. Full Furnace AC replacement, not listed (on purpose ) in the work section, they continue to be shady

I typically do not leave reviews, but my experience with Tom Drexler Plumbing was so poor that I feel compelled to share it in hopes of preventing others from wasting their time and money. I initially contacted the company to address a leaking faucet in a spare bathroom. I was given a vague appointment window of 8 AM to 5 PM and informed that if I didn’t answer a call prior to their arrival, the technician would not show up. When the technician arrived, he spent time criticizing the company’s hiring practices rather than focusing on the repair. He determined that a full tub and shower replacement was needed, quoting over $1,000. The work could not be done the same day, requiring me to schedule another appointment. The technician arrived late and took the entire day to complete the job, spending a significant portion of time sitting on my staircase visibly exhausted. The installation was subpar—both the faucet and showerhead were protruding nearly two inches from the wall, and the showerhead was visibly crooked. The faucet and showerhead were protruding so far out they couldn't even be caulked. My wife documented the issues with photos. She sent them to me after the tech left. I immediately called Tom Drexler, informed them of the subpar work, and requested a different technician to correct the poor workmanship. A new technician arrived the following week and made the necessary adjustments. However, within four days of using the shower, a leak developed in the ceiling of the kitchen below, and our toilet began leaking from the base when flushed—suggesting possible plumbing pressure or blockage issues. I contacted the company again and scheduled yet another appointment. Despite being given the same 8 AM to 5 PM time frame, no one showed up, and I had to follow up myself to learn the technician wasn’t coming. Eventually, another technician did visit and claimed the ceiling leak was due to "residual water" and dismissed the toilet issue. When the ceiling stain continued to grow, I called again and requested a supervisor. The supervisor came a week later, concluded that the issue wasn’t related to their work, and left without offering any solutions. Altogether, I had to take four days off work to accommodate this series of visits. I now need to hire another plumber from a different company to resolve the ongoing leak. Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Tom Drexler Plumbing. The quality of work, communication, and overall customer service were consistently poor throughout the entire process.

We spent 38,000.00 for them to remodel our master bathroom and replace the vanity and top in the guest bathroom. this work started on 7/16/25 as of today 09/06/25 I am still waiting to fix the guest bathroom. The electric outlet that was installed in the master bathroom does not work and they installed the shower head too high. the guest bathroom they measured wrong so the person installing the vanity cut holes in the walls to install the vanity and you could not open the doors. He also cut holes in the walls to install the sink so the two sinks were in the wall under the electric outlets. The person installing did notify the office on 7/18/25 that the vanity did not fit. No one from the office ever came out to look at it. The we had to wait until the salesman came back from vacation and then the supervisor went on vacation. they finally looked at the issue on Aug 27th and they finally came to change the vanity on 09-05 but when they arrived we found out that the sink was cracked and they could not put it in. As of today 09-06 we sit with a vanity with no draws and no sink. No compensation was ever offered. I have guests coming to visit and no guest bathroom to use.

I purchased a new hot water heater last October. I just had my furnace replaced by a different company and they had to remove the new hot water heater. Upon removing it I noticed a huge dent in the back, 13 in x 19 in. Called customer service to discuss this and was told there's nothing they can do. I originally was really happy with the service, quick and efficient. I did not expect a brand new hot water heater nor a check, but I did expect and do expect some sort of compensation. I will edit this review if and when I feel they've made the situation right.

Do NOT use this company unless you want to be charged astronomically higher than what you should be. I had a furnace/air system put in and charged over 10,000 when unit itself costs a little over 3,000. Had pipes in kitchen alone done and charged 2,800 and left the wall out from floor to ceiling where pipes went. Now 5 years after purchasing this unit tried to charge me $800 for a part repair that was under warranty so that was for labor alone went elsewhere and had done for $180. They take advantage of people that aren’t knowledgeable on what stuff like this should cost. Don’t appreciate repeat customers and you will never pay a fair price avoid at all costs.

Will never use this company again. Had new system installed June 1st, 2022 it’s not July 3rd, 2022. They have had to come out once every week since install because the brand new system they installed continues to freeze up. We paid 12k for the new system and it’s been nothing but issues since. Clearly the technicians are under qualified it should never take this many visits to fix an issue with a BRAND NEW SYSTEM. Not to mention they told us they would replace all the lines when installing New system and didn’t replace any of the coolant lines that run from unit outside to the furnace. This company is waste of money and a giant headache. I have had to spend at least one day a week for the last 4 weeks waiting on Tom Drexler to come out and “Fix” our system. If you want nothing big issues and to waste 10k by all means call 1-Tom-Drexler. - First visit they didn’t wire the thermostat properly -Second visit they said they didn’t charge it with enough coolant -Third Visit still coolant leak charged again and scheduled appointment for “quality control” to come out -Fourth visit they “found s as leak in coils” -Fifth visit they replaced coils and re-charged system -Sixth visit just scheduled due to the system still freezing up. Do yourself a favor and keep shopping because Tom Drexler is a waste of time money. Not normally one to leave reviews but hopefully this will help someone else avoid all the hassle we have been dealing with.

I am extremely disappointed and feel scammed by this company. I had a sewer issue, and since they are well known and somehow (no idea how) have good reviews, I decided to go with them. They came out and put a camera down and said they found a root in the sewer. Great. I had them go ahead and do the repair and paid them FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. We were fine for a couple weeks, then had the same problem again. I called them out and they told me there was another root down the line. It would be TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to fix it. Called to have them snake the line again, and they refused. I called around to other plumbers. They told me they would have charged us $4,000 to replace the whole line. They also told me they thought the problems we were having were from the work that Tom Drexler did. They also told me they have to go behind and fix a lot of Tom Drexlers work. I called them to have them guarantee their work, and they refused. I paid them FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS, and they don't want to help fix the problem or guarantee their work. I absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! They are supposed to be coming out next week to look at the problem again, after bothering them SO MANY times. So who knows what will come of that. I am hoping they will make the problem right, but don't have much confidence in them at all. Save your money and support a business who will stand behind their work. Hopefully I won't need to contact the BBB.
