Horrendous overall experience with this company. Truly disappointing considering all of the positive reviews. The quote and 1st day of work was a good experience. We didn't have anyone show up the 2nd day to paint and finish the job. Tommy contacted us a couple of days later to say he was in the hospital and would try to finish the job the next day. No problem at all. It was multiple days later with no communication before he showed up and painted the chimney. The quote provided requested he check the flue which was not completed. He also offered to take a look at the gas line as a favor A week went by before we were called for payment stating we were late. We hadn't received an invoice....how could we be late? We ask that the job quoted be completed before payment (examine the flue). He then sent a text stating he was going to put a lien on our home, charge 18% per day for late payment and we would pay filing fees. I called him back and left a message to understand when we went from job not finished to collection agency. I never received a call back. A couple of days later after not hearing back, I just paid the 2nd half of the invoice. He clearly needed the money more than we did. Buyer beware. The work was acceptable. The customer service, lack of communication and aggressive tactics to collect money we were ready to pay once the job was complete was despicable.

"I actually wasn’t in hospital during job. My daughter was on life support. I notified you that I wasn’t leaving her at hospital until I felt like she was recovering. Well she was on life support for 6 weeks. We were upside down. Communication wasn’t good. We were in crisis. Then I had bowel abstruction and was in Hospitol for 11 days. I’m in recovery. My daughter is home now and doing well. The job was complete. I inspected flues when I bid job. My son inspected flu while he did the job. I finished job while all this was going on. I didn’t try to go back on my word. But my wife called. She does the books. While I was in hospital to try and collect so she could close month out and the party said she wasn’t paying. There is no reason for this post. This review. My kid needed me. Then I got sick. This has never happened before. The problem is I told her I would look at her gas line. And if it just needed to be hooked up I would do that. I wasn’t able to do that and this lady got mad. It was a favor. A job I’m not even aloud to do. I’m not a plumber. I nicely told her that it was fine she didn’t pay and I would put Lein on her house. That’s what you do when you don’t get paid. But honestly. The bad review hurts my ranking and will stop me from getting jobs. But my problem is. People are so rotten these days. Child on life support!!! I end up in emergency surgery. No empathy. No feeling. No nothing. I get bad mouthed and job was done. People should care about people a little more than this. It hurts my heart to know this is really the way people are today. And the job was done!!!! This review isn’t right. But I’ll take the cards I been delt and move on and be the bigger person. I’m sorry your experience was not to your liking. We had a lot of problems at same time and was overwhelmed. We finished job and never called for payment. Weeks went by and my wife just wanted to close the books for the month. My apologies and I hope all is well with you and your family."

Tommy was highly recommended by a friend. He was quick to come over and give me an estimate. Once I signed paperwork and gave him down payment it took him about 2 weeks to get job started . His guys were in and out in 2 days. I am very pleased with the quality of our new flower box. He was able to replace by it kept the integrity of the style of the home.

Tommy and his team did a great job on our chimney! Once it finally stopped raining Tommy and his crew got to work and finished in a reasonable amount of time. Anytime I texted Tommy he would respond answering any questions I had. His work was top notch, rebuilt the crown (which looks bomb proof) and cut out the brick mortar out down to the roof line. Tuck pointed and painted my chimney. Not single drop of water has come in since he finished his work. They cleaned up all materials afterwards too! Really pleased that we hired Tommy Mattingly Masonry, I will be using him again in the future for any of my masonry needs.

Tuck pointing jobs went as planned and on budget. Patio project grew in scale after work was begun. Could have done a better job of estimating cost of patio. The quality of work was very good and they returned to address our concerns. Will hire them again.

The contractor met me at the property within a day of me contacting him to provide an estimate. <br /> His crew completed the job on time in a professional manner. At the completion of the job they cleaned up all of the debris. The new chimneys look great. <br /> I would highly recommend Tommy Mattingly. I will probably be using his services again in the future. <br />

wonderful - they arrived as promised worked swiftly - built scaffolding to protect air conditioner and windows - had dumpster brought in for all of the old brick - delivered new brick an materials - bing bang boom - in 4 days chimney completed - all cleaned up - and looking beautiful - tommy and david certainly know exactly how to execute and deliver - - <br /> <br />

I chose Mr. Mattingly after seeing some of his work on Willow Ave. in the Cherokee Park area. He came by and gave me an estimate within 48 hrs. of my calling him. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The work is first-rate and his fee was very reasonable. He even fixed some areas free of charge on my front porch that he noticed needing some attention. The brick and mortar that he used blends perfectly with the rest of the house and should easily last another 70 years. All of the workers were very personable, professional and courteous. They were also very willing to take the time to explain exactly what they were doing and why they were doing it. When they finished, they did a great job of cleaning up the area (no small task when you're doing masonry work). I won't hesitate to call on them again.
