Tom Tucker

I contacted Mr. Tucker in early July to touch up scratches on my 23 year old dinning room table, eight chairs, and fix one chair arm. I paid $150 as a deposit, which would go toward the balance due. Mr. Tucker didn't pick up the furniture until early September. At that time I told him I would need the furniture before Thanksgiving. I didn't hear from Mr. Tucker until I called two weeks before Thanksgiving. I left several messages never received a return call. Waited a couple of days and called back. He finally returned by call and said we could pick up the furniture on Saturday (before Thanksgiving). Saturday came so I called to get the address, no answer, left messages, waited all day for him to return my calls. He finally called late Saturday evening stating we could pick up the furniture the day before Thanksgiving. He told me then that he was having a hard time touching up the scratches, and had to strip the chairs and table. I did not asked him to strip the paint, only touch up the scratches. When my husband and I arrived to pick up the furniture, I started crying, he had ruined my furniture! Mr. Tucker stained the top of my table against the wood grain. Each chair had been stained in different coats, which made some darker than others, One of the chairs, that needed to be repaired, was not even fixed. He is NOT an experienced painter. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!

Great job. Fair price. Very professional and responsible in time and a friendly person to work with. I definitely will hire him again if I need handyman services. I definitely recommend him for any kind of handyman services. He seem to be quite versatile in the kind of services he can provide

I was very impressed with the detail in which he matched the stain to another piece I had in the room. He enjoys what he does and it shows in the work he produces. I would recommend him!

He did a great job....I have more lined up for him to do in the future..He is going to hang shelving in the closets and make wooden painted headers for over my window treatments. He took a deposit in the mail and a payment in the mail.

Tom actually picked up the doors for us at Home Depot which was a great convenience as we didn't have a way to get them to our house. The ones being installed had to be cut to fit the opening and the edge painted. We were really pleased with the outcome.

Tom is a great guy. Did throw in a few extras. Work did take a lot longer than I would've expected even considering a couple issues outside of his control (also a couple false starts). The work was fairly done.

Mr. Tucker is very professional. He was hired from an Angies List special, but when it became necessary for followup work, he came back several times at no additional charge, even coming on a Sunday. He also returned all our phone calls promptly.

Tom is the very best handyman I have ever used. He is very respectful, and professional. He cleans up after he works. He is very very knowledgable and very polite. Most of all he really knows his stuff, very competent. I have recommended him to a lot of mr friends. 

Once Tom got here it went well. He had trouble finding our house and got hung up in traffic. He did the job as required. He warned us that once the caulk dried it might shrink, it did. He came back to added more at no extra charge.

We discussed the options, picked one and he explained exactly what he would do. He showed up at the agreed times and completed the work for the expected price. He also hauled off the old material and left the site in good condition.
