Technicians arrived within an hour of a phone call. They found the problem right away and took the necessary steps to make the thermostat and AC unit work properly again in just a few minutes and then advised us on how to prevent a future occurrence. The men were courteous and efficient on top of their quick response, and we were very pleased with the company and the service.

Mr. Gonzalez was able to work with us and get us a good price as well as approved for financing. Installation was fast and smooth. We will be hiring him again for other remodeling that needs to be done.

Installation was great. No mess. Workers cleaned up after work was complete. Totally replaced a 14 yr old contractor A/C unit and compressor with a 17 SEER Ruud System. They also sealed leaky air ducts in the attic. They also supplied us with a compatible smart thermostat we can control remotely. And they assisted with the paperwork to apply for utility rebates. Financing was very affordable.

The service was outstanding! They went above and beyond for us. My wife was scheduled for surgery when our AC stopped working, We checked Angie's list and called Toned Homes, they came out immediately, and troubleshot the problem. they got us running temporarily but it was determined we needed a new inside unit. While I was at hospital with my wife for the procedure my son let them in to replaced the unit. They worked tirelessly to make sure that my wife could rest comfortably when we got home. All the technicians along with Tone himself showed so much concern for my wife's well being that I felt I was dealing with family. Tone even worked well into the night to make sure the unit was up and running and the house was cool. My family has found our AC service company for life, these guys are awesome and I highly recommend them! If Angie had A+ instead of just A they would definitely get that rating instead. Great company!!!!!

Saved me $7000!!! My AC went out and left us with an 89 degree tempature inside our home. I had several reputable HVAC companies come out to service my AC. They all told me my system was beyond repair and because of the age of my unit (12 years) it was out of date and I would need to replace the entire system. The prices ranged from $6000-$10,000. I called Toned Homes and the owner Tony came by within the hour to check my system. He was very friendly, informative and thorough. Unlike the "others" he didn't try to upsell me a new system, he took his time and figured out the problem with my AC and fixed it! I was very happy with my expirience with Toned Homes and in the future when I do actually need a new AC I will definitely call them first.

"We realize thay the work was not what the homeowner expected. He did send 2 emails to our accounting department. I became aware of the emails and immediately called him to address the situation.the customer was disappointed with our work and told me he had decided on an amount he felt was right and diputed the charges with his credit card company before my call. I explained that i understood his complaint and that I would like an opportunity to fix the work. He stated that he was busy with things and that he would decide if he would let us fix the work. He said that he would get back to me. I just heard back and I am going to resolve the issues that he has with the work. In response to the offer being a bait and switch offer, the offer is to do a small grout/caulk repair for three hours of time $120 it was an Angies list idea. It didnt work out on either of the two offers sold and when we tried to assess before charging we got a f rating from a member. We didnt like the offer either, consumers are thinking that we can fix years worth of damage for $120 which is not always possible. The offer works more for maintenance of grout or small cracks rather than for repairing severly damaged moldy grout. We have requested to not participate in this offer any more because we are losing time, and money as well as getting people upset which is our biggest loss. It is not a good offer since what the customers need is rarely a match for simple grout or caulk for three hours. This offer doesnt work for anyone so Im sorry we even got involved. Hopefully we can resolve this for him."

We showed the tile we wanted for our hall bathroom, but Toned couldn't provide it for us. Instead, he showed us alternate materials, so we had to choose from his selection. We signed contract with Toned at end of August, but the company didn't begin demolition until mid-September. He told us the job could take up to two months, and it did stretch into the second month. Many problems occurred such as Tone didn't measure floor correctly, or Tone gave the wrong cabinet door style, or the new window screen had holes in it. The process took way too long, and there was even a whole week where NO work was done at all. Toned asked for more money BEFORE the job was completed. Towards the end of the job, he wanted full payment when work had not yet been finished. This owner is so money-hungry, yet he's disorganized. I recommend that the homeowner keep accurate accounting of payments made because Toned Homes tried to over-bill me. But, my own accounting records showed my payments are completed. After this bad experience, I don't want to remodel again for a very long time.
Response from Toned Homes
"The customer is correct about some things in this review 1. I personally mismeasured the floor 2. I ordered the wrong panel for the cabinets 3. We received a damaged screen Other things in this review are a mean spirited and a personal attack on me the owner. 1. We have done work for them before. Look directly below and you will see that we installed a complete ac system, ducts and insulation for this same customer. 2. We started the job when agreed 3. We completed the job when predicted 4. All problems were quickly responded to(a d rating is not fair for responsiveness) 5. We were punctual 6. We provided a high level quality job. 7. I am money hungry and more concerned withmoney than quality . This is a crazy statement. Quality is not a question ever for us!Unfortunately she told my worker on the final day of work that she was going to make me wait since the job took a long time and the screen came damaged. I felt holding the final payment was intentional and that she was trying to prevent me from completing the job. I didnt ask for payment in full before the job was completed. I asked to be allowed to compete the job so that we could be paid. (At that point there was a more than $7000 BALANCE being held for a screen that was damaged in delivery) 8. I couldnt provide the tile they picked: they selected a tile from a closeout store that was cheap looking and thin I suggested a tile from one of our sources and the tile that we provided was a higher quality and much more beautiful. 9. I told them it could take 8 to ten weeks. We started mid September and finished the first week of November. I am going to try to post photos of this bathroom. It is awesome. I appreciate the work and we will honor all warranties on this job and the other work we have done for them. I am sorry for the disappointment from the customer. I will work harder to be more organized and to be as perfect as possible."

After hearing how another contractor had conned me, Tony worked with me on the payment of my AC unit (5 ton Ruud-both inside & outside units) and was just awesome! He came out and saw that my current AC was fried and that we were miserable in the heat. His guys were out FIRST THING the VERY NEXT MORNING and we were happy as clams by that afternoon! They were clean, friendly, prompt and professional! I was so happy with them that I am having them replace my roof next! I have, and will continue to, recommended them to everyone I know!
The smooth operations started with assigning a project manager, foreman and crew to conduct the following tasks. Kitchen Remodeling: The furr down kitchen ceiling was removed, along with the boxed florescent lighting. The ceiling was raised and recessed lights were installed. Their certified plumber changed the pipes in the ceiling and installed new dual sinks, garbage disposal and a goose neck faucet. Their certified electrician installed electrical wiring in the ceiling to accommodate pendant lights over the bar and installed numerous new electrical outlets in the kitchen and breakfast nook. Seven kitchen drawers and twenty-nine kitchen cabinet doors were removed and refinished and they changed one to a glass door to accommodate a new three shelf wine cabinet. The pantry was redesigned to accommodate a built-in microwave space. Crown molding was installed in both the kitchen and breakfast nook. A beautiful crystal chandelier was installed in the breakfast nook. Old lighting over the kitchen sink was replaced with an LED strip light fixture. A pony bar was removed and replaced with a flat counter top. Cape Cod Beadboard was installed at the base walls of the bar. Formica counters were replaced with granite counters. The wooden window base boards were replaced with matching granite. Travertine tile, along with a complimentary travertine/glass trimming, was used for the backsplash. Thr ceramic tile floor was replaced with ceramic wood plank tile. All the kitchen knobs were replaced with pewter color knobs to match the bar pendants and breakfast chandelier. The finished product resembles an off-white color English kitchen. Ramp installed: A ramp was installed from the kitchen area to the washroom. The old ceramic tile was replaced with the same ceramic wood plank tile to match the kitchen. The step down from the kitchen to the wash room had caused me to break several toes. Since they were working in the wash room, they replaced the washer faucet and lint hosing. Back Porch; The weight of the roof to the patio had caused the three columns to lean. Additionally the weather had caused some of the base on the columns to deteriorate. The columns were modified by adding additional supporting brackets. The brackets were customized to match the existing colonial appearance. The bases of the three columns were also modified by replacing the weak or decayed wood with new material. The patio was repainted. Professionalism and Craftsmanship: From day one, the staff worked diligently. As a retired executive, I am aware of the issues that arise with staff which can easily cause delay in the most well planned projects. I am delighted to report however that this team of professionals were committed to complete the project on time and it was evident by their daily punctuality. I was very impressed with their integrity and knew the entire duration of the project that they could be trusted. As for their craftsmanship, it is evident that these tenured workers took pride in their work. Every detail was entertained and no shortcuts were taken. Before they left each day, they cleaned, sswept and mopped. They hauled away the debrise, ensuring that the kitchen was as functional as possible. The professional skill set of the carpenters, floor, and masonry installers, and granite installers is reflected in my beautiful kitchen. However, the expectations were set by the owner of Tone Homes. Additionally, Johnny Red was in charge of managing the daily activities of the entire project, supplying the required materials and coordinating the scheduling of the various team specialists and supervising the staff. It was indeed a pleasure and an honor to have had a team of honest experts work on the renovation of my kitchen. At the end of the day, I established a set of new friends that work for a company that delivers high level workmanship. I can honestly say that my kitchen looks like something out of a magazine and while I am enjoying it everyday, I have fond memories of the individuals that made it all come true.
"Thanks for your business. I believe there is a mix up. The category says kitchen and bath but the review is for an ac check. We also have never charged 59.00 for this type of service since the price grade given was a "C" We would like to talk to thw mwmver about that part of the review. Upon checking we found the actual price charged was 49.95. Here is the maintenance that we performed. We checked the heater for safety We checked the evaporator coil We checked the return air for proper seal We vacuumed the return air We checked the electrical connections and tightened up any loose wires We checked fan and fan capacitor We checked the drain connections And other normal inspections like the thermostat accuracy and such. Normally A "C" rating may be deserved but in this case we also fogged the duct work and did a complete duct inspection which has a value of up to $125. We feel that the normal price of $79.95 for the ac check and the duct fogging and duct inspection is a great price! While we concede to the member Opinion we ask them to reconsider this grade because we really intend to give an above average experience."

It was a wonderful experience!! Marco was the man who did the work. He was prompt and very respectful of our home. He came and got right to work each day and worked straight through. He also cleaned up everyday before he left. They said it would take between 5 to 10 days. It was finished in 4!!! I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly!!!
I had never hired a professional contractor previous to this. Toned Homes came highly recomended from reviews on Angie's List and testimonials. From the beginning estimate to the finished product, they remained very professional and curteous. Everyone involved in the remodel were definately a credit to their craftsmanship. The quality of work was very high!
The finished product blew us away! We didn't realize our old and tired looking 80's style kitchen could be transformed into such a wonderful and modern room1 We'll be proud to show off our kitchen for many years to come! Toned Homes delivered the kitchen we wished for. We highly recomend Toned Homes! Thank you again!

We were having problems cooling a newly created bedroom in a space we had added on about 7 years ago. Being an open area the kids hung out in, we didn't realize the area wasn't cooling well. When we closed up the space the previous month to make an extra bedroom, it became stifling hot in the new room. Toned Homes inspected our ducts and determined that there were unnecessary turns and jags, leaks, and tons of extra ductwork causing a lot of inefficiencies. Owner Antonio Gonzalez spent all the time needed to explain three options to my husband, and then again with me at a separate time. They were able to re-use some of the existing ducts to complete this job. This company is very good about helping the homeowner keep costs down by reusing existing materials that don't need to be replaced. The installer seemed knowledgeable and was a hard worker (outside temps in the upper 90's). He hauled off a heaping truckload full of old ductwork that was not needed. When the work was done, I expressed my concern that it didn't feel like the room was getting comfortably cool, so he returned and spent another couple of hours doing additional work to "make it right" and we were not charged for the extra time or supplies.

This was my SIXTH contract with Toned Homes since June 15th of this year, so I am obviously very pleased with the quality and service this company provides. Everyone I have dealt with is top notch and I highly recommend this company.

After the previous job that Toned Homes completed in our den, hallway, kitchen, and guest bath, we realized that the washroom and entryway also needed upgrades.

I should make a note about the "B" rating I have been giving Toned Homes for price on the last few reviews. I didn't get estimates from different companies so I can't say that the price was excellent. I trust Toned Homes and I have automatically picked them for the last few jobs because of my satisfaction with the previous jobs. I trust that the price was a good price.

The walls had about 30 years of cigarette smoke and tar so a sealant was applied to the walls before they were painted. It went as hoped, no surprises or problems. Since we still lived here while the work was in progress, the work crew had to work around us and they were very accommodating to our needs.
