I though the finished product was well done, until the carpeting on the steps came loose and both the plumper, me and my dog slipped on the steps. Advise Anthony Barrera of the problem, and he promised to fix it. He never did.

The original estimate for job completion was four weeks. The job is still not completed in the kitchen and media rooms, they started the third week of June 2014 and now it is the second week of August 2015.
Interior paint - overall a good paint job throughout the house, except for my daughters bathroom -- they did not use satin or bathroom designed paint so now the paint is fading. The kitchen cabinets have paint cracks at the bottom of the cupboards. Then after staining and putting in the kitchen tile they never have touched up the stain marks they left behind. A second note, the first time they put in the heated floors somehow the connection lines were nicked and the entire kitchen floor had to come out and be redone. Then they did not replace the wood bridge pieces from the ceramic tile to the laminate floor...my husband ended up nailing them down since I got tired of snagging my socks on the floor.
Heated Floors in media still does not work. Again, the connection lines were tiled over incorrectly. There are black score marks on the trim boards. The fix is suppose to be the splice kit that the licensed electrician requested from Tony. Tony was suppose to order the second week of June 2015. The electrician and Tony were scheduled August 6, 2015 at 12:00 pm the time was agreed upon by all parties. I was home for the appointment, the electrician should up at 12:05 pm, Tony's tile guy showed up at 1:30 pm; however, Tony did not show up till 3:45 pm with one splice kit (we needed three total) and the grout for the kitchen floor -- the receipt was in the bag dated August 6, 2015 from the Tile Store in Chantilly, VA. What was the point of all of standing around for 3 hours and 45 minutes if Tony had the required materials?
Kitchen Floor is heated and is working. However, the grout is coming out in numerous places and some of the tiles are becoming loose. In addition the boot molding has never been installed so dirt and dog hair get caught up in the groove between the tile and where the kitchen cabinets meet. The tile guy came out in May 2015 to measure for the boot molding but the materials have never materialized.
Several of the iron banisters rods are loose and the back stairs the entire hand rail is loose.
The bath tubs that were refinished are both peeling and bubbly from the bathtub paint that was used. Both will need to be removed and replaced with new tubs.
There are problems with any big renovation projects...however, it should not take a year to correct things. I can only assess that Tony Touch Paint, LLC has grown to large to pay attention to customer service and timeliness of services rendered. I paid the bill in full, with the commitment from Tony that he would make the job right. The job is not right and I am done waiting for Tony Touch Paint, LLC to stand by their work. In addition, I noticed today when I logged into Angie's List that his licence cannot be verified and he has failed to pay his bill to advertise on Angie's List....again, a clear sign that he cannot run his business efficient or legally.
We initially hired Tony to clean and refinish our hard wood floors. Tony came to the house and explained his work philosophy and how his team would do the work. He was thorough and answered all of our questions. The workers came on time, and did a great job bringing 20-year old floors back to life. We were so pleased that also called on Tony to put in new carpeting on the basement for us. Again, he did a great job addressing and remedying any concerns that we had. His pricing is fair, and he is completely transparent when breaking down costs. We enjoyed working with Tony and offer our highest recommendation to anyone looking to have any type of flooring work done.

Good group of guys showed up to perform the work. However, the work performed was just fair. I ended up with paint drippings on approx. 70% of my roman shades throughout the house and more on the floor in a number of places. I was supposed to get 2 coats throughout the home. To me, two coats means two coats.... one coat applied, let dry, second coat applied. To them, it means using a roller wither a deeper pile. So, get up close to my walls and you can see the color beneath where the coverage wasn't enough. Luckily my new color was really similar to my old, so it's not a glaring issue.

My mudroom was painted an incorrect color. It appears that they had run out of the color needed and just moved forward with what they had instead of driving 1 mile to Sherwin Williams and picking up a gallon. Again, the color wasn't a drastic change from the other, so maybe they thought it would go unnoticed??

I'm a business owner myself and understand the importance of speed of work to maximize your profit, but NEVER at the expense of quality and professionalism. Slow down, take a bit less profit, do incredible work and watch your business explode!

Tony and his crew were outstanding from start to finish. If there was a rating higher than an A, it would be our pleasure to give it. Tony was quick in responding to my initial requests and prompt at providing a competitive estimate. His crew always was there on time or early. Roger was the lead on the team we had. He was great at understanding issues that popped up, and deftly and calmly handled it when the scope of work expanded. Roger, Joshua and the team stayed for as long as it took to get the job done professionally and courteously. Tony came by himself to ensure that everything was done to our satisfaction. Based on both the quality and price of the job, we would highly recommend Tony and his crew for any work that they say they can do. They were a complete pleasure to work with, and will always be our first call for any future work.

Anthony and his crew were great - incredibly professional, responsive and punctual, and the work performed was very good. Anthony responded to all my communications (calls, texts, emails) very, very quickly, which I found impressive. He was very clear and direct in explaining everything, and the job was done within the time frame he had originally estimated. Henry and Julio were very good too - very punctual, diligent, responsive to my questions and requests, and veryfriendly as well. I especially appreciated the fact that they worked through the weekend in order to complete the job on time.
I think the best compliment for a contractor is a customer's desire to work with them again, and I definitely plan to use Tony Touch in the future.
Amazing service! I searched for laminate installation on Angie's List and acquired Tony's name; I called him up and he was able to come out personally the following day for a free estimate. I gave him the sample from Home Depot and he offered an estimate that was almost 200% below the average estimate for the same job while still offering to use the exact product we wanted. The job took approximately a day and a half and the contractors were professional and cordial (not even minding the wandering Akita roaming throughout the house). I would highly reccomend!
The work was performed over 2 days and on the weekend in which the owner/Project Manager really worked with my schedule. The painters/installers did a magnificent job and were very kind, professional, knowledgable and clean. The owner/PM also followed up to see if I was please with the job which I appreciated. The pricing was very, very reasonable as compared to other companies that provided me quotes. I would definitely recommend them to any neighbor, friend and unknown person in the DC area.
Very responsive. Met with me on short notice for an estimate while I was in town for a short visit. It had been a rental property for 10 years and I live out of town but I wanted to fix it up for sale. I felt very comfortable with his level of professionalism and compared him to other bids and found him well within range. He was also able to do the work of several contractors each doing one thing all under one contract and for a lower price than others combined. He started work within two weeks of signing and stayed true to his estimated time line.

He sent pictures of before and after the work and I am very happy. He understood my budget limits and helped keep costs down but retain quality of paint, repairs and workmanship.

Inside the house we had carpet that, when removed, found there was more damage than expected. He sent pictures of what he found and we talked candidly about changes to the contract with additional fees that were essentially at cost for materials with a small markup.
He was very helpful in keeping up communication with me, even being far away and letting me know how things were going and any decisions that needed to be made so I felt comfortable with the work being done.
I sent a property manager to review the end product with him and she gave high marks. And she's a tough cookie.
Only problem is, now I wish I could move back in rather than sell it!
I initially had to wait almost two hours for the initial estimate due to miscommunication. After that was resolved, Anthony and his crew were great to work with. They were extremely flexible working in a tight timeline to include last minute changes even around the holidays. Great quality of work.

They didn't show up. I had scheduled an appointment for an appointment for an estimate but they didn't. They showed up this morning, and they are supposed to come back tomorrow. He couldn't find the shutters at Home Depot because of the size, so they had to drive all the way to Colombia to get closest to the size that we needed. They had to drive about an hour away. I said that we needed something that was close and I didn't want something hanging 6 inches, and they are not identical. I think they are going to be close enough, and I am impressed that they did all that. He knocked off $100 because we did not want to pay $700 for putting up 2 shutters and paint.

Wow, I was really impressed! I really appreciated Anthony's responsiveness and willingness to work with me and once we agreed upon a time and price, they came as scheduled and completed the job in the same day. The painters were professional and despite the cooler temperatures, they completed the work with great care and precision. I do have some areas that need to be touched up but overall I think they did a great job. I would certainly use them again and would recommend them to others.
I want to start off stating that I knew this was a complicated job due to the multiple locations needing to be addressed in different manners. Anthony was very accommodating, professional, and responsible. Even when Anthony had a medical reason to not be involved in managing, he was. The overall grade, however, would be a B-. I would still use them again and recommend their use.
At first, I thought I found our handymen for the rest of our projects. I told Anthony the issues in COMPLETENESS OF WORK with other contractors, and was assured there is no problem here.
My wife and I were told that the entire job would be completed in 3 days. I expected a week, but it ended up being 2 weeks and a day. Communication was a challenge on both my end and theirs. There were times when I talked to Anthony about specifics and details that we had agreed on, but when the working crew came, there was a misunderstanding. For example, I wanted all doors to be painted semi-gloss white. When the job was done, I noticed the doors were only painted on the front (facing the hall). I was told that is what they usually do when painting doors, but I thought it was understood that painting the door is the entire door. A misunderstanding that was solved once it was brought up. We also had some issues in cabinet painting as the doors were closed before fully drying. When opened, paint was removed. This was brought up and was grossly resolved.
Here is a summary of the work:
Hardwood flooring-Looks great but had issues with the staining of the stair nose. This was corrected. They had to do a lot of work securing the sub-floor, which I thought meant silencing creaks. One creak was fixed and the other is right at the base of my stairwell. I was told this is due to the beams in my home, but they would check. I asked later about it as I still heard the noise and didn't notice anything to suggest the wood was taken up for the problem to be checked, but was told it was inspected and is the beam...
Painting in home-Walls and ceiling are great but doors and molding look like spots were missed.
Staining/painting of banisters-We have dark on top and bottom with white spindles. We had an issue with drying time and drip spots but was ultimately resolved. Looks great. Stains from banisters were noticed elsewhere in the house like on doors.
Kitchen cabinet-there was some back and forth with this because of the peeling of paint. Even when pointed out, not all was resolved. We also agreed to the painting and install of about 2 ft of crown molding on the top of a cabinet where it was missing, but this was not done.
The quality of work was ok, as I had to point out issues that needed to be resolved, and some were not. It got to the point where my wife and I were just ready to be finished with the entire process. Overall, the grade is a B- because of this and because the work was not as thorough as I had expected. Today I even went over some things that weren't fully completed and cleaning carpet from shoe stains.
I reached out to Anthony for another job involving the installation of a pedestal sink, and painting plus installing shoe molding and 1/2 rounds. This is the powder room I had hardwood installed also, but when the sink/vanity was removed, some of the molding and rounds were not painted or installed on the sides after being told we were acquiring a pedestal sink for the room. I wanted to use Tony Touch again because I believe they have a great rep and maybe the communication was the predominant issue with my job. And he does work with you.
I just suggest being very detailed and descriptive when getting a quote for a job, ask questions, and inspect the work.

Anthony worked very fast and was extremely communicative from the beginning. I never had to wait around on him, which was great. The entire main interior (I didn't ask for any rooms to be painted) he said would take 2 days, and it did.
Very communicative, receptive to changes in requests from me, a "can-do" attitude, friendly, no major problems.
When we returned home to see the completed job, we noticed a few details that weren't done as discussed and some places that needed touching up. Anthony responded immediately, took responsibility for it and arranged for his workers to come over and do fixes right away. By the time they were done, it was perfect - exactly the way we wanted it. I appreciate this, because you hear nightmares about home projects, and Anthony was true to his work and wanted to make sure we were happy with the job.
I would use again, and I plan to use again.
It took a long time to get started. There were lots of delays, some of them caused by rainy weather, The entire job was done very quickly: maybe five hours from start to finish. I was surprised. The quality of the work was very good.
This is my 2nd project with Tony, and I absolutely love his ability to grasp my concept ideas and bring them to life. Now I have my accent wall and complementary color in my bedroom.
Tony, has been very responsive and has worked well with my schedule to get the job done. Tony and his crew work well, and even came back to make touch-ups per my request without any hesitation.
Thanks for doing great job, and always helping me with other projects, beyond your scope.
Anthony Barrera is the owner of Toony-Touch, and he sets the tone for the people who work for the company. You will find them courteous, very careful in handling your possessions, and honest. You won't find anything missing when Tony-Touch's crew leaves your house The company's customer service is excellent it caters to its customer's needs. If you are like me, sometimes you think you want things done one way, and Anthony is very diplomatic about helping a customer to understand why the work should be approached differently. I have never undertaken a renovation project before so we had several miscommunications about the work. Once I explained to Anthony, that I needed to understand what might be involved in a project before it is done, he has helped me understand the things I needed to know to make good decisions.
The work is planned at the customer's convenience. Don't want crews in the house on Saturday, or any day before 8? Tony Torch will accommodate you. Oh, did I say the paint job and is especially gorgeous and the tile on the floor and the walls of my master bedroom bath rocks? I'll say it again. They did it to the paint job to the designer's every specification, and Anthony designed the exquisite pattern of the wall tiles in the bath.
Typically, the crew comes in with their equipment at the appointed time, if they are painting they move everything except the most fragile of items for you. I had my closets painted, and that saved me time. I could have saved more time, but like I said, I have undertaken this type of project and I wasted time packing or removing things that they were prepared to do. Anthony, visited the house on a regular basis to inspect his crew's work.

Anthony is a good salesperson and completely sold us on his preparation and painting process. He is a nice young guy and his crew was very nice and professional and respectful. I have to say that if I had not stayed on Anthony to do the level of work that he sold to us, I suspect it would not have happened. As a general contractor myself, I have a keen eye for detail and and expectation that people do what they say they are going to do, and not just talk the talk. It took a lot of review time on my part to make sure that things were done as expected, even after the final walk through - which felt quite rushed. He is coming back to complete some small clean up tasks he said would get done but did not.
Anthony will do well if he can get past the sales pitch and put that energy into the work, getting the message across to his painters that detail matters, and clean up is paramount. Especially on a project of this magnitude, and with the level of detail he said would be accomplished.
In the end, we are happy with the job, but only wish that it had not taken our time as it did.
