Total Home Services of Lubbock

We hired Total Home Services of Lubbock in the Spring of 2018 for an extensive remodel on our home. At first, we were satisfied with the work being done on our house. However, about 1 month into the work, things rapidly declined. Because of the remodel, both of our bathrooms were nonfunctional and we were told that we would be out of our house for 2-3 weeks until the bathrooms were completed. We made arrangements expecting to be back in our home within that timeframe. At that time, workers stopped coming to our house and we could not get a hold of anyone. On top of that, we had paid ahead for this work to be done and we began to panic. Furthermore, we had subcontractors showing up to our house saying that they had not been paid by the contractor despite us paying for that work to be done in advance. Several weeks went by this way and we finally got ahold of someone who told us that they would be resuming work at the house. We tried to be patient and make this work so that we could at least reach a point where they had completed enough work to even out what we had paid them. We had meetings set up and cancelled by workers every day for a week straight and they would always ignore our calls. This pattern of lack of communication and little to no work continued to the point where we could not continue any longer. We attempted to set up a meeting to discuss this, to which they did not show up so we ended up firing them over the phone. We then had to hire out another contractor to come in and fix and finish the work that was started. Because of this situation, Total Home Services owes us several thousand dollars of work they owe, damage they did to our home and property, and our own tools that they broke, of which we cannot get them to pay. In addition, because of poor work, we have had to spend several thousand more dollars in order to correct things that they ruined in our house. What was supposed to be 2-3 weeks out of our house has now turned into 2-3 months and it has been terrible and inconvenient. We have made several calls and texts asking for this situation to be made right, all of which have been completely ignored. I do not wish this upon anyone. Please do not hire these people.

The first porch railing put up was done very POORLY. Thomas and Charlie came to rebuilt it. At a distance looks good. But up close sitting at eye level one can see over 10-15 spindles cut too short leaving gaps. These gaps after 2 weeks are still not fixed after many calls, text message etc. I am having to let someone else fix and possibly replace all those spindles. These 2 photos will show the end result of redo of railing. Sadly, these are throughout the whole finished structure. Overpaid for something not done well.

The guys at Total Home Services are kind, trustworthy and easy to work with. They do quality work every time and if there is any small detail that I am unhappy about, they address it immediately. Their work is very high quality, and I recommend them to anyone that needs remodeling for their home or business.

Charlie, TJ, and the guys took great care of us. They got me everything we wanted and more, all within the budget and timeframe they promised. Very knowledgeable, never pushy, and very reliable.
