We experienced some delay related to material availability and weather that was out of our control but the overall project was successful. Outline your expectations clearly in the contact to ensure both party understands their responsibility to avoid any misunderstanding and expectations.

"Thank you for the opportunity! We do appreciate your business and friendship. Sorry about the delays due to weather and material availability. We signed a contract and started your project 3 days later. Most companies take weeks or even months to start a job after signing so I hope you understand we actually knocked your job out swiftly and in a timely manor. I appreciate the constructive criticism and will make sure we have every detail spelled out next time! We appreciate you and your families hospitality as well! Thank you for choosing Total Quality Construction Services LLC!"

I previously had two reviews for this project. My first was very favorable. My second was an F rating for not following up with the job. However, I have met with Jason Lambert of Total Quality Construction and he is in the process of making repairs to my project. Overall he is a very good person and his work is of high quality. Please disregard my previous review.

"[Member Name Removed] I appreciate you being patient as the months of November and December are slow. Mixed with this virus it’s slowed things down even more. I was going out of business due to a mixture of virus and slow months but things are picking back up and you are top priority! We have been growing fast and it’s because of doing quality work but I also have had some warranty work come about that I just couldn’t get too fast enough due to lack of help. It’s hard to find good help these days. Since then I’ve hired new personnel and I personally am back in the field seeing these projects through along with warranty issues such as yours. You stated previously how pleased you were and we appreciate that along with your patients in allowing us to get back with you to fix your shower issue which was a result of shower not being sealed when completed. We appreciate your business and value your friendship! Thank you again!"

The bathroom looks very nice. However a leak was detected in the shower. Justin came out and looked at the shower and said it was never sealed but he would come back in a few days to make repairs. He never showed. After several calls and texts he finally responded. His response on November 17 was "I'm losing my business. I grew too fast and couldn't keep up with everyone. The guy who did your work came back to bite me and I don't want this type of stress . I've been trying my damnndest to help everyone but it's become too much. If you find a different professional in your area he won't charge you hardly anything to reseal. I just don't have the time. I'm sorry. I'm doing work myself to try to stay afloat until I can get something else going. It's because of not having good help." Then he replies for me to go to Angie's List. So his two year guarantee on quality work means nothing. I have quite using the shower so as to not make it worse. I've had another company take a look at it. Due to water damage a lot of the shower will need to be redone, at my expense. Although I paid Justin $4,000 for this job. I would think twice before hiring him. He is still in business based on his website.

I used Justin Lambert, general contractor and owner of Total Quality Construction Services. He's a local guy, lives in the Jefferson area. He's good about returning phone calls, messages and visiting the building site. I LOVE HIS BUILDER, TOM !!! Tom is an amazing, talented carpenter and jack of all trades. My experience with the whole crew was most excellent. Give Justin a call ... ?

I had 4 fans, and 8 other fixtures as well as a security camera installed the first time I hired justin. The second time I hired him, he replaced flooring and base trim in my kitchen and dining area. And the third time I hired him he remodeled a baby for me. Very easy to deal with. All projects were finished on time. And the work was quality

My sunroom is exactly as I expected it to turn out!! Large windows added give it so much light! Justin Lambert is highly talented with his craft! He was precise when changing out the windows. And my ceiling looks fabulous! It is natural looking wood now and I just love it! I enjoyed working with him and getting this accomplished in my home. He was available to answer any question I had. I will use him for future restorations!

It was a horrible experience- very similar to the January 2020 complaint. Justin was in extreme hurry to sign the contract and get started on the project- the "name of the game was speed" and the project would be completed 1/31/20. He would start on 1/2/20. He agreed that my husband should cut his Christmas trip short to have the material here for him to start. The materials were here 12/30/19. The company did not start until 1/8/20. Make no mistake they were in a rush, but it was just for the 50% deposit for the job. They worked approximately 8 days. One day was 7 hours, the rest were 4 or less. There were four one to two hour days. We ended up paying two of the draws. Once the contractor was a couple thousand ahead of the project, he abandoned the project. He made a feeble attempt to schedule work days, but emergencies always came popped up last minute. He even told my husband that- despite not being on site for a full two weeks and being overpaid for where he was in the estimate, he needed another draw to come to work. My husband said that the contractor had more emergencies in the months that we knew him than he's had in his whole life. After conceding via text that the contractor felt he made the mistake of under-bidding the project, he agreed to finish the external work. He brought a worker to the house and left. The worker did literally nothing for two hours. Justin came back and they hung 11 pieces of siding up. They sent my husband to Home Depot to buy $100 box of nails. While my husband was at Home Depot, they packed up with our screws and our nails (for the second time) and took off. We texted him that he was fired. We then hired a new contractor who had to work for two days fixing mistakes. Despite the money that we lost on this project by overpaying this contractor, we hope our experience saves you from making the same mistake. I wish the person's review from January 2020 was available when we looked into this company. The approximate cost of the total project according to the estimate was 11200 for the labor of the whole project with us purchasing all materials. We have paid 8400. All that was done was the framing. The roof was not finished, the siding was not even really started, the electric was never touched, no HVAC, and nothing internal was even started. We never made it to the MEP Inspection. Do not use this contractor. Do not trust him. He was officially fired on 2/14/20.

"Ms. [Member Name Removed] im surprised to see you leaving this review when i was dealing with your husband this whole time. I explained to your husband that my contract very clearly stated that he could not bring in any other contractors to do the work we discussed. I framed up and dried in a 600 sqft addition. Installed 3 windows and flashed them. We installed a metal roof to match existing and tyvec house wrapped everything. We started the hardie siding and when i looked inside i saw the extra work that was done and none of our guys did it. Mr. [Member Name Removed] your husband breached my contract in multiple ways is why i never returned to your project. Otherwise we would have completed no problem! 1st breach) he poured some footers around the bottom of addition that i never knew about until i got there and then insisted on me doing the work for the original contract price when it included lattice skirting. The footers were for the T1-11 skirting that was not a part of contract. 2nd breach) had some guy i didnt know that was un-insured doing insulation and framing the closet inside and the Hvac as well. I provide my customers with an extended warranty and my contract also clearly states that you cannot hire personel to do work while in contract with us. We are responsible for the the job and bringing unqualified persons to do work on our job site violates contract. And the comment about the pricing was correct. You were in the room when we were talking about pricing and he told me when yall re financed that he only had a certain amount in equity to fund project. So i agreed to do the work for a lot cheaper than average. When he started adding in the extra workand liability i explained that i couldnt do it for that. We have a contract in place to prevent this but in this case it was breached and the liability alone was too great for us to legally stay involved. What would happen if that guy would have been injured on site? I am still sorry as i hate having bad experiences with anyone! We do great work and have pics and references upon request for all of our customers."

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I recently had to fire Justin Lambert from our bathroom remodel job prior to completion, for incompetence and breach of contract. Much of his work had to be redone. I want this review to be helpful to you in deciding whether or not to hire Justin for any projects. Here are Red Flags you should consider if you plan to engage him: RED FLAG #1 Much of the type of work Justin lists on his business card and website is not legal for him to perform. To call his business Total Quality Construction Services is misleading. Justin cannot perform construction because he is not a Licensed Contractor in the state of Georgia. Take deck construction, for example. In the county of Jackson, the county of his business, a building permit is required when building or rebuilding a deck. This requirement is to ensure that the deck is safely built to code compliance. Justin cannot get any sort of building permit for your project, because he is not a Licensed Contractor with the state. Without a permit, the county would shut down the deck construction if it is discovered. That could get very ugly, and expensive, as it is possible the work would have to be removed and redone. Best practice is to contact your county building permits and inspections office and ask if a permit is required for your type of project, and hire a Licensed Contractor. Quite often, these offices can tell you which Licensed Contractors are active in your area. DO NOT pull a permit yourself, that makes you liable for building code compliance. RED FLAG #2 Justin claims to be insured, but he never offered evidence regarding of the type of insurance, whether it was paid up, and whether I was covered for the job as an additionally insured, as required by the work contract. I have strong doubts an insurance company worth anything would take on the risk of an unlicensed contractor, so make sure Justin provides the company name, policy number and telephone contact to verify the information yourself. The same advice goes regarding Workman’s Compensation insurance. Make sure Justin provides the insuring company name and confirm it is an active policy. It would also be smart to check your homeowner’s insurance policy to determine if they require any certification. RED FLAG #3 Justin was persistent trying to get our work. We signed the contract on October 27, 2019 and handed over a check for 35% of the estimate. And then we waited, and waited some more. Finally, he showed up on December 5th for a few hours. BUT here is the kicker. Before starting, he claimed he forgot to add to the contract that he required a weekly money draw! I relented on 1st draw so he wouldn’t walk away with my deposit that I had paid 5 weeks earlier. After that, I held firm on no further draws, but that didn’t stop him for asking (repeatedly) for more. The Better Business Bureau has a negative review of Justin not finishing a job after the homeowner had paid him 85% of the contract amount. If you sign a contract with Justin, make sure any draws are spelled out. Otherwise, he will use you as a personal ATM, with no guarantee that the work will be completed. And good luck.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed], First i want to start by saying we are screened and approved by angies list. We had to undergo a background check, license check for the fields advertised, and insurance check. They also stay on top of these documents and there validity! Second, we can pull permits and we are licensed and fully insured. I would think a man with your knowledge would think to check all of this before letting us perform work on your home? Third, you were correct about one thing and that was the draws. I didnt include in the contract which is why i discussed and made sure you approved before we started working! We are not thieves we wouldnt have taken your deposit! We also had a legal binding contract and you had a receipt of your deposit from us! Why would you be concerned about getting deposit back? I am very upset about all this still because this took place during Christmas and we completed the work and didnt get paid! We also take pride in our reputation and our work! You told me personally on numerous occasions that you were pleased with the work! Even had guys working in freezing rain to get job done. I am convinced you let us get almost all the way done then started all this to keep from paying us the amount left on contract! We have done alot of jobs for a lot of people and have been in business for 3 yrs. We have many good reviews and great references. I hate that you are the 2nd bad review we have had in 3 yrs."

I had an old shower/tub taken out and a new tiled walk in shower installed in my master bathroom. I am so pleased at how beautiful it turned out. This company is very professional and did an excellent job. The workmen were friendly and very neat with their preparation and cleanup. The company owner was easy to work with and made sure I was pleased as the work progressed. They did the complete job in just 5 days and stayed within my budget. I would rehire them in a heartbeat.
