When we bought a new house in Sun City Anthem in 2006, we got several bids for landscaping the entire lot. We chose Juan Tovar, owner of Tovar Landscape & Design. Ours had more curb appeal than most houses. Something was in bloom every day of the year. They did soft- and hardscape and we were very happy. Some neighbors used Tovar and were also very happy. We later had his guys convert our stained driveway to pavers, continuing the pavers to the walkways. Great job. Also, after a big freeze, people lost trees. Landscapers charged to replace them, saying the trees were fine, it was the weather. In our case, however, Tovar had planted two of the same tree in our front yard. One died, one lived. He replaced the tree that died after the freeze saying that it was the tree, not the freeze; if it was the freeze, they both would have died. Boy were our neighbors who didn't use Tovar jealous! In 2017, we moved to Solera Anthem. Our neighbor hired Tovar to convert her driveway to pavers, and to install a planter. Both are beautiful. In 2019, we bought a new house in Inspirada. Because of our long-term positive experiences with Tovar, this time we didn't get any bids except from him. In this case, the front and side yards are already "landscaped" (such as they are by low-end builder KB Homes). Tovar designed the backyard landscaping, added a paver walkway from the front porch to the side gate, and added uplighting to the existing tree in the front yard, and added tier lights to the sidewalk. We are very happy. They started 1/2 day late, but he texted me the update. They finished on a Monday instead of the previous Friday, but that happens. Team Leader Igor's English is as good as mine. The crew work so hard; you gotta feel for them working in the Vegas heat. But they really know what they are doing and the work is done and it is, as always, excellent. We thought it would only cost about $7,000; it cost over $10,000!! Considering they only had the backyard and one paver path, we think that's a bit high. I hate to think what it would have cost to have Tovar do the entire lot. Guess we would have gotten additional bids. Juan is responsive. If you call the office, his wife Eileen is VERY responsive, ensures she gets back to you with an update and/or answer. In spite of what I "think" is a lot of money for the amount of work involved, I highly recommend Tovar Landscape & Design. After all, we didn't get any other bids, so we don't in fact know that $10K was higher than it should have been. Because the amount of work that was done here is minimal, I'm also including photos of our Sun City Anthem yard.

Mr. Tovar and crew arrived at my home to install a six foot block wall. They arrived with all the necessary equipment and got to work. They did a beautiful job and even installed my old gate to the wall which came out great and I'm happy with it. Well skilled crew who are also very friendly.They also left the area in the same good condition it was in before the project started. IT LOOKS GREAT!!!  Also, Tovar doesn't give senior discounts. <br />

I called Juan and told him that the front yard is wildly overgrown but suggested the plants can't be trimmed in this heat.  He said that the rangers and (I forget the name of the other plant in our front yard) actually can be trimmed now.  A couple of days later, I came home and the yard looked great again.  There was no debris, no evidence they'd been there.  They must have hauled the cuttings away with them.  I'll get a bill in the mail next week. <br /> I ran into Juan at Roberto's Taco Shop the next day and told him that there are three things we need done to get the yard ready to market.   <br /> Juan did the original landscaping when we bought this house.  It's gorgeous; we have great curb appeal.  Over the years, he added a paver driveway, front porch and sidewalks.  He added pavers to our back yard.  He installed a lamp post.  He's changed out some plants for us when our needs changed. <br /> His guys do maintenance whenever it is needed, trimming, fertilizing, etc. <br />  I don't know why anyone would use anyone other than Tovar Landscape & Design.  Juan is fair, responsive and really knows his stuff. <br />

This is the third time we have used Tovar Landscaping in the year and a half we have owned our home and have been happy every time.  The price is always very competitive if not the lowest and Juan always shows up on schedule to bid for the job as well as telling his employees what has to be done.  This time his price for everything was $150.00 less then just buying the plants and having them delivered and planted.  Juan and all his employees are always polite and respectful of the homeowners property and belongings and we would DEFINITELY use them again. <br />

They did a good job. I was very pleased with what they done. They must have gotten busy because I contacted them back for additional work and have not yet been able to schedule something with them. The pricing was reasonable. They were contentious about what they were doing. They got everything I had asked for.

Tovar is one of the best if not the best in our area. Workers are polite and do a good job. <br />

Juan, his site manager Carlos, and the rest of the team were a pleasure to work with. Had no problem making some slight changes to the location of plantings. Everything cleaned up nicely when they left . Juan's ideas about placement and the rock river expansion resulted in a good-looking layout. Price way more reasonable than a second estimate we got and we were satisfied with the work. We plan to use them again for some routine maintenance and any other landscape changes we may decide upon. <br />

They are very reasonably priced, and they got excellent crew. They were very diligent and very hard working. Also, their works were precise. I can't speak highly of the guy's workers and the job that he does. He took care of all requirements for community architectural, and he presented it to them. All the people worked necessarily to get approved. They came in and did a superb job! I would absolutely use them again in the future. Actually, we have used them three times, and they did an excellent service. I can't think highly enough of them.

The above info should be sufficient for any recommendation. We have used Tovar numerous times in the last few years <br />And the work has always been excellent so there is no need to list one specific instance. <br />

They were here exactly when they said they would be. The cost did not vary. He gave us the exact cost before we hired them. They did an excellent job. We thought the price was a good bargain. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. I would absolutely use Tovar Landscape and Design Inc. again.

Mr. Juan Tovar is the owner, and he is very good. He takes the time with me and explains everything that his workers are going to be doing. He explains how to take care of the plants and things like that. He has replaced plants for us and everything. He has done all our landscaping, and he has been terrific with us. He is very reasonably priced. He is excellent. I would definitely use them in the future if needed.

Juan was recommended by a board member of the Architectual Review Committee at Sun City Anthem. Can't get a much higher recommendation than that. He was at our home within an hour of our first call, helped us plan tree removal and landscape. Within two days, project was completed including yard maintenance. Juan is very courteous and professional and his work crews were efficient. I went with Tovar Landscape after waiting a month for another company to provide a satisfactory landscape plan and perform maintenance.
